Just a little back story for the record, I've been going to this particular store for many years and I've spent thousands there and I've always spoken highly of the products. I've brought many friends, family and coworkers there as well to give 5.11 business. But let me tell you! I don't know what happened to this store and how they pick their staff now, but they are absolute trash. Ever since the old store manager left this store has hired the worst people and the store always looks like crap. The old manager had this location looking good, fully stocked and her team was on point and very professional. They lost the true face of 5.11 on that one. I recently went to this 5.11 location on Friday March 28th with my family to see if things changed and I was reminded for the final time why I will NEVER return again. The guy in the front said something when we walked in and never said another peep or offered to assist with anything at all the whole time we were there. That's not even what bothered me. What made me absolutely livid was when the female worker blew my father off mid-sentence when he was asking her a question about their sale and said "It just depends" with a snarky attitude and TURNED HER BACK ON HIM AND WALKED TO THE BACK OF THE STORE. I almost lit her up. I'm done with 5.11 once and for all and I know deep down many others are as well. My experience at this store was absolutely disgusting. We walked in. No one approached us; two salespeople were talking among themselves, and one almost pushed me over. No one approached us or asked if we needed help. The salespeople simply ignored us; one was busy with his merchandise, and the other, with a red beard, sat in the customer chair and hummed. It was a terrible experience; I'll tell all my friends that the salespeople at Roseville Galleria don't meet basic standards of behavior, let alone professionalism. read more

I would not recommend going to this 5.11 location. The staff is unfriendly and refuses to help in any way. They will not order any product for you and do not stand behind the 5.11 warranty. That the manufacturer offers. I went in the store and asked to have a new pair of shoes ordered and to get them to cover them under the warranty that 5.11 off and was told they could not help in any way. I've shopped this brand online for years. It's not cheap stuff... but... it's not cheap stuff, if you know what I mean. Seemingly small details like the finish of the stitching and bigger details like the materials used make a difference! Everyone needs to decide what's best for them, obviously... but I don't mind paying a few extra $$ for better quality. In my opinion, it pays off in the long run. For those of you who, like me, buy 5.11 online... I encourage you to drop by a store sometime! For whatever reason, it took me years to step foot into a store... but I'm glad I finally did. I think many (most?) of us have gotten so used to buying online that we forget what it's like to be able to wander around and feel the material used for each product, try things on, etc. It's time well spent every once in awhile. read more

I wouldn't shop here again due to how pushy the manager (unknow name, female, heavy make-up) refused to process a return unless I gave her my cell phone and email address. After a rude exchange, she agreed to refund per receipt and card, but was very aggressive about obtaining my contact information. I was just there for a fanny pack. There is no reason to alienate potential customers so you can spam them or cyber monitor their activity. 5.11 should respect people's privacy. They lost me as a customer. read more

We used to enjoy coming here because we regularly buy a chunk of our wardrobe here. Customer service used to be great until today, 2/20/23 around noon. The girl working (one of them) was friendly and seemed helpful. We're usually greeted at the door and asked if we need help, but that's not an issue at all. We aren't at all bothered by that. What is an issue is when we ASK for help and the blonde dude with the pony tail acts annoyed that we spoke to him at all. We'll shop online from now on, and they can deal with any returns. That should annoy him more. I hope he's not getting a commission for our purchase today because he made myself and my wife feel like we were at the DMV or something. First time here but I've been to some of their locations. This place always gives military discount. But yesterday I purchased one jacket and a shirt. I was assist by the guy who's got long hair, tall and skinny. Employees ID 0003284 wasn't very friendly at all. I asked for military discount and refused to give. Then said no we don't do that. I've been wearing all my tactical gears for so many years and had used military discount. So I just paid everything. The kid don't seem to happy with his Job. I wasn't greeted with smile, hey I get it we all have bad days. My husband was a frequent customer here since this store opened. With many the stores closing/having different hours, my husband called this morning to find out if 5.11 was open, and if so, what their hours were. They said they were open until 6:00, but the doors were locked, and they would be letting people in. We drove an hour to get to 5.11, and got here just after 2:30, only to find a note on the door saying they were closed for lunch until 3:30. It might be different if 3 employees inside were not just staring at him when he went to the door, or if he hadn't called ahead of time. No one mentioned you were open until 6:00, but would be closed for an hour, which would have been good information to have before driving an hour. When someone says they're open until 6:00, I expect they're open until 6:00; I didn't expect that to mean they were open until 2:30 and then would reopen from 3:30-6:00. My husband is getting ready for a last minute deployment, and you have provided the worst customer service and wasted our time. Next time someone else calls to ask your hours, you should really give them the actual hours you will be open. We try to support businesses locally, but this type of service is why we will be making these types of purchases online. read more

Wow wow wow wow wow!!! Aaaahhhmmmaaazziinnggg!!!! Why were you not recommended to me before the fact of being told to go to Galls!?!?! First, there was everything here that I needed for my uniforms. My polos, jacket and pants, and in my size, and the exact quantity left that I was looking for! Mind you, I am a small or extra small. I am not the typical size for the military or law enforcement group. KEL was awesome!!!!!! He helped me with everything. Located all the items for me and knew what I was talking about. I had a great experience with their customer service / sales guy . First things first , you have to wear a damn mask cause it's in sac county , I let them know it sucked but they were cool. The sales guy , was nice friendly and ready to help . He helped me find two pair of pants , then I tried on some boots , he helped size me up with some new boots . Very positive shopping experience. Was greeted as I walked in the door and asked if I needed any assistance. Clean store with a nice selection. I was able to find shirts and pants in my size in the color I wanted. I would have given 5 stars but I kept having to ask the employees how much the clothing was because the price wasn't on it. Not sure if this is a corporate policy or just this location. 5.11 is definitely on the higher end of tactical clothing so maybe it's just a matter of, if you have to ask then you probably can't afford it. I just paid a visit to 5-11 in East Sacramento, upon arrival I was immediately greeted and welcomed into the store. I picked out some items to purchase and while finalizing my decisions the folks attending the store were very accommodating in looking in the back for additional variations of items or un-stocked items. As I purchased my security related clothing, gear and accessories, a clear and friendly return/exchange policy was explained to me, which I find to be invaluable as items are some times not needed, or not quite the right purchase. 5-11 has a great selection of clothing and gear, for not only security and law enforcement but for the outdoorsman or for causal wear use. The customer service is fantastic and unmatched! I could have just as easily gotten these items online, but it was overall a fantastic experience to visit and meet the good people of this store that are quick and efficient to meet your needs, and I would highly recommend this store to anyone looking for these genre of items. read more

A long time supporter and customer of 5.11, however at this location you have a young white male associate with a ponytail who will told me that the dressing rooms were closed, then changed it up and said they were full. I, then set down the two hoodies I wanted to try on the rack and ask to use the restroom. The associate asked me where are the clothes you had? I then pointed to the clothes on the rack and when he saw them, I realized that I had been accused of stealing. I willl never buy 5.11 again thanks to this experience. read more

The customer service is excellent, and the store has a great variety of 5.11 products. The reason why I minus two stars because the store does not allow 5.11 products to return from online. Another issue is I live far and special ordered a shirt that was transferred from another store. On 24 Aug 19 at 1453, an employee named Deidre asked me to return a week later to pick up my shirt. I returned, and the shirt wasn't there no drove one hour and 37 mins through heavy traffic at a distance of 47 miles. The employee told me to come back after they called me. My question for 5.11 is what are you going to do to make this right? Sadly from other reviews, I don't think they really care for the customers. It is what it is. 5.11 are great products but after I pick up my shirt I no longer plan to shop in this store. I recommend shopping online or purchase them on base if you're a military member. They don't give military discounts but other stores such as Nike and Under Armour does. It just goes to show their support for our troops. The young man that works here would not honor an exchange because I didn't have a tag on the obvious 5.11 branded product. This was after waiting 35 minutes for both he and his coworker to come back from a break during their advertised open hours. In fact the minute he saw me he tried to stand in the doorway to block me from entering the store - yes, I had a mask. Then when I told him I had to drive 45 minutes to get there he started making other excuses for not wanting to exchange the item. This company just lost a customer for life. read more

I showed up after shift at 5:25 to buy something for work tomorrow. When I arrived there was a sign on the door that the employee was on break and would be back at 5:30. I noticed a group of 3 people standing outside the front of the store talking. They saw me attempt to enter the store and then go back and sit in my car waiting for the store to reopen. Didn't say anything to me. Then at 5:30 I see all three of them enter the store and remove the on break sign. Why would 3 employees take a break at the same time and close the store and then sit out front as customers attempt to enter? Horrible customer service. I don't know who the manager is, but clearly the break process should be addressed. Customers shouldn't have to sit in their car while three employees take a break at the same time. 5.11 is absolutely my favorite name brand when it comes to tactical wear. 5.11 has made up 80% of my work/daily attire since 2013. I have the tactlite pro pants, polo style shirts, shoes, jackets, hoodies, t-shirts, belts, push pack... The quality of these items are impeccable, stain resistant, wrinkle resistant, fast drying. These are the characteristics a rugged, on the go type person needs. No more irons, or trips to the dry cleaners. My go to place to purchase 5.11 clothing and gear was bumefields uniforms, they have the largest selection in Sacramento. Once while passing through Fresno I stubbled across an actually 5.11 tactical store! You would believe the excitement and the immediate let down I felt as I pull into the Closed store parking lot. Lol. Fast forward to 2016 while driving on highway 80 I caught a glimpse of the 5.11 tactical store sign, I immediately made a change of plans and seeked out the store. I was literally a kid in a candy store. I walked out of there with close to $500 in clothing and gear. Their prices are high but so is the quality and durability of the product. November 1, 2018 I visited the store to purchase a couple of apex pants, edge chinos, and several shirts. Like always the level of customer service is excellent. Attentive but not pushy. A sales associate is always within whispering distance ready to assist you. On this particular day I went with a 30 inch inseam instead of my usual 32 with the edge chinos . Mainly because I wanted more of a tailored look since I would be wearing casual/dress shoes with them. When I brought them home and tried them on with my dress shoes I realized that I should of went with the 32 inseam. No worries. November 4, 2018 I brought the pants back to exchange them for the longer length plus purchase an additional pair in a lighter color. I was greeted by the store manager named Ana. I placed the bag containing the receipt and pants on the counter and explained my situation while looking for the correct size on the display. The manager looked through the bag laid out the pants and receipt and informed me that she would NOT be able to let me exchange the pants because I removed the tags??? The stickers and tags were in the bag. I looked over the return policy on the receipt and it didn't list that as a condition to void an exchange. I asked to speak with the manager and was told she was the manager. I asked to see the policy in writing and Ana response was that the policy was not in writing and they were the only store enforcing the policy. I was literally confused and could not help but feel a sense of discrimination. The shakiness in Ana's voice and body language gave me the impression she wasn't confident in what she was explaining to me. My cousin entered the store and after a quick run down began interrogating Ana about the Secret exchange policy and demanded a corporate contact number. Ana then told us that she would make an exception to the policy and allow me to exchange the pants. I exchanged the pants and bought an additional pair. The whole initial resistance had me really considering looking for a new brand of clothing. The customer service I received that afternoon was horrible and insensitive. I couldn't help but think that she was trying to prevent something criminal from happening with a bluff about a verbal exchange policy. But then again, how could a person take advantage of a store by asking for a size exchange? I love the product, the store is amazing, the staff is super attentive but that policy belongs in Walmart. And that's if the policy actually exist. I want a store official to respond to my post and explain to how a store policy can be enforced if it's not in writing. And if such a policy exist it should be explained to the consumer before each purchase. read more

We asked to speak to a manager and apparently everyone who works there is a "manager". We spend a lot of money here monthly. When they're open, they are helpful. The problem is they're never open. The clothing is dependable, the staff and hours of operation on the other hand are not. Always closed! Multiple times I've shown up during their advertised business hours currently 10-6 PM, only to find that the store is closed, I arrived at 2 PM to see a sign on the door that said at lunch will return at 3:30. 5.11 sells great products, there's no doubt about that but honestly this store is a horrible place to go for them. Awesome customer service! Walked in the store and was immediately greeted. Had to pick up some boots for my firefighter husband and was feeling a bit overwhelmed on where to start. A sales associate was nice enough to talk to my husband over the phone to confirm the exact boots he needed. My four year old enjoyed the store and experience as well - they were super welcoming and he loved telling the salesman about his daddy fighting fire! I love this brand. I found myself looking to restock the closet (New job) and considered all clothing lines out there. I needed something to update my Dockers and so happy to find 5.11 tactical. Of course these are great pants for construction site walks with customers. But my real joy comes from the transition off the site and into business suites for customer facing meetings (yes - I do a lot of F-2-F meetings) and trade shows if they ever resume. I can not lie. I still have a suit, a left over Hagger, and a single pair of blue jeans. Otherwise, the entire closet is stocked with 5.11 trousers in a variety of colors. Best fashion decision I made. We loved the clothes and the fabric used. Very comfortable clothes. With that being said, we were extremely disappointed with the customer service at this store. There was 2 employees. I believe one was the manager and the other was a co-worker. It was actually the manager who was incredibly rude. At first we were the only customers in the building and she acted like she was bothered that we were there. My husband tried on about ten different pants and an assortment of tops; there's a lot of variety in the store. The manager was pretty much pouty however, that he was using the fitting room for multiple items. Keep in mind, we were the only customers! She was short and cold and treated us like we were a nuisance. We purchased close to $1000 in product but most likely won't come back to this location. read more

Drove all the way over here for a simple return. Arrived early in the day assuming they would be open only to find a sign on the door that they were closed with a return time posted. So I had to wait (in the hood I might add) for 35 minutes for them to reopen. When I was finally able to make my return, which was another issue in itself, I asked if they typically close in the middle of the day. I was told they were on lunch. It seems a company that big would know how to stagger their employees breaks so they wouldn't have to close the entire store for lunch. This isn't a small "mom and pop" store or a boutique. This is a huge store and I, like most people, don't have time to sit and wait in my car for 35 minutes for a two minute transaction. The female manager that used to run this store was great! My husband and I have shopped here since it opened and spend a lot of money here every month. The new employees do not compare to the old ones! Clearly this issue of closing in the middle of the day is an ongoing problem based on prior reviews. read more

5.11 Store. Ah. The store for military, law enforcement, fire, EMS, and people that like to spend $70+ to dress up and look like they're doing something tactical. Haha. All jokes aside, I'm extremely glad that they have an actual 5.11 store in Sacramento. My go to 5.11 establishment before didn't have a wide variety of women's apparel, but lo and behold when this baby opened up I was in heaven!! They have about 5-6 different women's pants with all of the sizes, polos, gun range gear, belts, shirts, tanks, you name it! They do not skimp on ladies products. Oh... and for the guys, they have pretty much have all the supplies off the website for you. Hats, patches, pants, polos, etc... They also have write in the rain supplies, knives, ANSI certified sunglasses, med bag gear stuff, molle gear stuff, belts, shoes and hydroflasks. Anyway, if you love tactical stuff...You'll be in heaven. They're kinda pricey but you do get what you pay for. No joke, I spilled a whole medium iced coffee all over my navy blue pants and the fancy teflon coated material and whatever else it's coated with repelled the whole drink right off and onto the concrete. No stains, no wetness, saved me so much time and heartache. Also if you love a good sale, go all the way in the back by the shoes. Sometimes they have it up in the front by the women's gear. What a joke!! Purchase a bunch of gear online. Need to return a couple items. When you buy online, it says you can return in the store or ship it back. Wife helps me out and goes to store. Store hours are listed 10-6 I believe. She get there at 1:05 PM. Sign on door says returning at 1:20 pm. They open door at 1:25 PM. You would think maybe they had some employees call in sick or something so only had one worker and needed a break. Whatever....Wife goes in and there are 4 employees inside. WTF? I love this brand and there are a few employees here that are amazing. With that being said I live in the Bay Area and I drive out to 511 Tactical every so often. I wanted to exchange a pair of shorts for a size bigger but I brought the wrong tags. They made a huge deal about it saying they were no able to. I pulled up the policy on their website which didn't match what she said and even then still no. I called corporate office and the store was still unable help. The corporate office was amazing and sent me a label. Before all this happened I explained the situation the last time I was here to a different manager and they said just bring them in to exchange only. Which is what I wanted. The corporate office expressed how it was weird how they didn't want to help me. The whole situation made me not want to come back to this store! I will happily shop online from now on read more
