My husband had a full knee replacement on 7/19 ( first day of the heat wave). While I was at the hospital, I asked an electrician friend of mine to get my ceiling fan working. The fan was dead!. My first chance to replace it was Monday July 22, of course my husband wanted to come with me! We only live more than an hour away. I agreed with fear in my heart! We walk in,( my husband limps in), we go to the the fan section, David Angelo walks over and says" can I help you?" I reply, we definitely need help and we will be here a long time! Of course my cell phone rings, ( I am a realtor, a very important client) I proceed to sit down and spend 10 minutes speaking to my client, great way to start! In any case we needed to replace 2 fans in preparation for the next heat wave, for a man who cannot walk and is trapped at home!!( I was really worried). David was patient, he gave us his undivided attention which we desperately needed. I was determined to leave this store with 2 ceiling fans! This was a success because of David. OMG! What a great experience! Had a very specific lighting need -- put a new mirror in the bathroom and the top part of the mirror had a thick edge. We couldn't find vanity lighting that extended far enough over the edge so as not to cause a shadow from the mirror's edge. Home Depot and Lowe's had nothing that worked for us. Went to another lighting store in the area and when we explained what we needed, they pretty much told us that they couldn't help us. Looked high and low online and still couldn't find what we needed. We were about to give up and return the mirror, when as a last resort I head over to Capital Lighting. Don't buy from this place please. I bought a $2,750 ceiling light and after 13 months the light is defected, 2 of the metal wire was broke and fall, half is still hanging on the ceiling. Try to contact them for help with order parts and look like they don't want to help because of little thing like this. And they told me to call direct to the factory to order and i did, but the factory said they don't sale for individual customers, i have to order thru the company that bought from and i got back to them and asked for their help but no one answered. Long story short, somehow my wife and me have never been able to agree on chandeliers or larger pendant lights. She prefers modern and I classic. It's been a challenge the last few years, but when we went with our interior designer to Capitol Lighting in E. Hanover, the time spent there with Dave Angelo was extremely fruitful. He spent a lot of time with us taking us through all the different options and made it a very good experience for us. Such great service from customer service agent Ted Matos. I called in to check on my order which had the incorrect tracking number as I spoke to Ted unfortunately he was not able to give me the correct tracking number at the time because it was late in the evening. He did say once get arrives at the office in the morning he would email me a updated with the correct tracking number. I was very doubtful that he would response back but sure was in the morning I had an email from him with my correct tracking number. Fantastic Service!! I recently purchased a George Kovacs fixture. When I brought it home I found 3 glass globes broken. Of course they replaced them at no charge. Then after the fixture was hung by an electrician I found some chrome peeling. I called and within two days they re-hung a brand new chandelier!!
