We approached the property and had to be buzzed in... we stated we had reservations and they let us through. It was beautiful! Many different seating options; indoor or outdoor. We were greeted by a staff as soon as we parked with bubbles. We found a seat and were taken care of the entire time. Linda was great! So knowledgeable and friendly! As we pulled up, we were greeted with a glass of bubbly and a smile, what a great touch! The tasting room is very modern and bright, we chose to sit by the fireplace and let our hostess, take us on a tour of the wines they were showcasing. All I can say is that I was in awe for almost 2 hrs; I thought the wines were all quite exciting and the small bites just elevated the whole experience to a new level. This was our first stop on day two of our Walla Walla Wine tour. A friend of ours had visited and highly recommended that we stop a Caprio Cellars. We were greeted at the door with glasses of bubbly. I can't imagine a better way to start the day. It was a rather chilly morning and I come from a warm climate so we were able to choose comfortable seats right by the fire. Our hostess Robbie was super friendly and knowledgeable. One of the things that makes this stop unique is that they pair food with all of their wines when they serve them for you to taste. So after the bubbly we started with a white wine that they paired with a beautiful salad that was so delicious. Unfortunately they had run out of their white wine so they were serving another white wine from a vineyard who had similar values and processes as they do. The next wine was served with black-eyed peas and chicken and I enjoyed the wine very much but it was the most amazing pairing. Also do not fear as my friend who was a vegetarian was given a vegetarian version of the dish. For our next wine, which was my favorite, Eleanor it was paired with an eggplant over fried polenta cake that was also quite excellent. The Eleanor was my favorite because I thought it drank really well on its own and paired nicely with the food. The venue itself was absolutely lovely and I wish we'd been able to sit outside but unfortunately it was quite chilly. I'm very glad we made the stop and would highly recommend it. read more

We had 3 wines, a white and 2 reds, alongside cauliflower bisque (so good, someone give me that recipe!), pistachio crusted chèvre, and meatballs. We were greeted with bubbly at the door also. I'm not usually a red wine drinker, but I really enjoyed these. The tasting room has 2 adorable winery dogs, Rosco and Roxie. The tasting is free, so you can spend your money on bottles of wine. Maybe I went with the wrong expectations. Several people (and Yelp) suggested I should go here if I wanted a pairing experience with food and wine. And I called to asked if lunch was possible and heard there were meatballs and soup etc. And I heard "chef" worked in a food truck and La de da... so I thought that meant there would be, you know, lunch. Let me be clear. The meatball (singular for 2 people) was amazing. As was the single pat of breaded goat cheese. (If we had 3 people, how many cheese pats would we have been served? 1.5?) We made reservations as we were a group of 10 for the tasting/pairing. We were greeted with Sparkling wine and brought inside to be seated at a very narrow high top table. the first course were large shrimp with a summery salad with oranges. Very delicious. We had a couple other course that were okay, nothing spectacular, but one of the main reasons for the low rating is the last course was a SMALL meatball that we had to cut in half to share! Seemed so odd and I wondered what if someone was tasting alone? Would they share a meatball with a stranger? Or just get the whole meatball?! We were told prior to arriving that our group would have to collectiviely spend $500. Okay, but once we all made purchases our server told us that if we had less people it would be free! What....I am not impressed with the wines either, nice story but I don't feel I need to go back. read more
