I work in the service industry and truly could never imagine leaving a new customer hanging like that. Mind you, I wasn't even in a rush and was enjoying my rainy day... which should let you know how ridiculous this interaction was. To make matters worse, they literally just threw the sandwiches in a paper bag. I don't mind minimalist packaging. But this was just disrespectful lol. All the sandwiches were just mashed together and deformed and unsightly once unwrapped. Unfortunately I don't remember any of them because they just weren't memorable. The interaction in the restaurant didn't make it any better. I've seen comments that some of the young (mostly white) "hipster" staff can be oddly passive aggressive to certain clientele... usually I don't agree with those views but man that day really made me think they had a point.
