POORLY MADE SANDWICH THIS TIME. I ordered via DoorDash and have done so several times and never had any issues until today. I unwrapped my sandwich and I couldn't find which was up or down. Everything was falling apart and I ended up practically taking the whole thing apart and remaking it myself. Ok I have to stop listening to IG influencers. This place is not bad. Don't get me wrong. I just didn't realize it's a chain. The food is still tasty. And the sandwiches are in fact big (long but not filled) albeit $$ and I could probably eaten more. That being said, they have an app to download. Signature Bobbi Turkey was just "WOW!" I was thinking of subway in size wise so I went with 10" and what a surprise when I got it. They filled it so much between the bread that it actually overflowed if you do not hold it right. Moreover, I was able to feel how heavy it was as I carried it. I was then surprised even more by how tasty it was. Yes, it was delicious. The place had a good vibe with lively music and it was so clean. Glad we didn't order anything more than the sandwich. Not only was it huge, it was so delicious, the bread was soft, the cheesesteak filling was a lot and we couldn't finish it. Some of the meat and mushrooms were spilling over so we needed forks to pick them up. The counter service was fine. They allowed us to take our time to figure out what we wanted. The food was made to order so it came out hot. Has to wait a little bit for it to cool down before I could dig in. We got there about 1pm so not so much of a lunch rush on a Sunday. I enjoyed the tunes they were playing- old school music, which made me enjoy the place more. We got the large sandwich, a bottle of water and a medium fountain drink for about $38. From the enthusiastic greeting to placing our orders. Although several of our orders changed a few times. The cashier was pleasant and efficient. After placing our orders I was directed to spin a wheel for a special prize. We won an order of Naked Fries! After the sandwiches were prepared, they were brought to the table; delivered with a smile. The entire table was impressed with each sandwich. And each one looked delectable. We were all pleased with our orders with soft warm bread, filled with the best ingredients. Each of us enjoying the taste of our sandwiches. The only drawback was by the time I got minway through the second half the bread had fallen apart because of the coleslaw juice, dressing and juices of the pastrami, the bread fell apart. Great size and only $13.99 for the 8" but more bread than filling. When the bread is cold, it's dry so you need the gravy (for both sandwiches). Also did not like that the guts were put on top the bread. This place really surprised me. It was actually good. I appreciated that it is convenient to get to, has parking, and the sizes are clearly shown. They have an app that allows you to get rewards. New sandwich shop in Kāhala...sign me up! I heard from friends that it was super good in the mainland, so I had to give it a try. So there's this sandwich called the Bobbie that my daughter swears by. She wants to eat it all the time. It is basically thanksgiving in a sandwich form. I think I have high expectations when it comes to food. Capriottis just doesn't do it for me. The bread is not nice and crisp and the filling lacks flavor. I enjoy a good jersey mikes sub because it is full of flavor with a nice hoagie. Capriottis is also a little pricey. I guess we will just need to agree to disagree. This default lunch place has now become a definite viable option in the future. The server is nice and explained with visuals the different size of the sandwich. Second visit this afternoon to Capriotti's at Kuono Marketplace. Right next to TCBTL, they have a small dining area to the left of the establishment. Downloaded their proprietary app and ordered a 10" Vegetarian Turkey Cole Sub and large portion of Impossible Fries. The former was fantastic. You can't tell the difference with the veggie turkey, in all fairness, white meat from turkey tends to be bland and dry. I only tasted the coleslaw with Russian dressing and the Provolone. And I am a fan of coleslaw so that was fine by me. The latter was a bit disappointing. Thinner than potato wedges the Impossible Fries were okay. Maybe a bit more white cheddar and Impossible crumbles, but there are additional options. First visit, got a 10" vegetarian Impossible Cheese Steak Sub...also, fantastic. Onions and white cheddar made it easy to eat sub-5 minutes...it ain 't an Impossible feat. First mobile order with Capriotti's app has a $2 reward that can be redeemed. I heard of Capriotti's when I was in SoCal so was happy to see it in my neighborhood. I had the so-called greatest sandwich in America, The Bobbie. A mixture of turkey, stuffing, cranberries on mayo. It was delicious. It tasted like a good Thanksgiving dinner on a roll. You can taste the fresh roasted turkey, such a big difference from the cold cuts you get at other places. I highly recommend getting it warm, with a side of gravy! I would also go down there to order and pick it up. It saved us $5 on the 18" large. The large also feeds two, and we were hungry. The service is good, they're very nice and helpful. The place is also very clean and cheerful looking. A very good addition to the many different types of restaurants in the area. We stopped by Capriottis today for lunch. It was surprising to see so many customers in there. The order counter is right in the front and they have a little odd line marker. I think they just don't have enough space for line to circle around. So one person can stand at the counter and they have a pole behind them to guide the next customer to stand behind. It's really not a big deal, just mainly a logistics thing when they have a long line. The lady at the counter was super friendly. As new customers, we didn't know what we wanted but she was very patient with us and our millions of questions. We got the kids meal and she said that we could choose whatever we wanted for the sub for the kids meal. I thought that was a great option. Most places only give you one or two options and most times it doesn't appeal to my daughter. So we decided on getting the meatball sub for her. The kids meal came with a small apple juice and fruit snack. The kids size sub was a pretty decent size. She enjoyed every bit of it but she couldn't eat all of it. I got the classic cheese steak. I really like hot sandwiches and the classic cheese steak was bolded on the menu so I thought that was one of their more popular ones. The cheese steak was good. I really like the bread that they have the sandwiches on. You have a choice of either sweet peppers or hot peppers and I got mines with sweet peppers. I really liked how it all went together. I probably could've gotten a smaller size though. They have four different sizes. There's a 5 inch, 8 inch, 10 inch, and a 12 inch. I'm not sure but I got a 8 inch which was way too much. I should have ordered the "half" which is the 5 inch sandwich. My husband got the caprastrami, it's also one of their favorites. Got the medium sandwich which is a 10 inch. He liked his sandwich but he said he would have liked it more if it didn't have Cole slaw in there. Oh and the fries. Those fries were delicious. They were crisp and thin with the right amount of salt. We will definitely be coming back here. Seems like word is out because the place was packed with customers when we were eating in there. Lunch in Kahala, Honolulu, Hawaii... I was so excited to try this relatively new sandwich shop at Kuono Marketplace. Capriotti's Sandwich Shop is across from Kahala Mall and next to Foodland Farms. The shared parking is free and much appreciated. Inside, it's really modern and clean with loud popular music. I'm glad that it was turned down after a bit. The air conditioning was wonderful! I ordered and paid at the counter, then waited for my Wagyu Roast Beef half sandwich to be freshly made. Sitting in the back corner table, I was observing the efficient, friendly staff. When I got my sandwich, I was a bit shocked and disappointed. The peppered tomato slices were layered on top of a slice of cheese, some shredded lettuce, and thinly sliced roast beef. My first bite was filled with tendons that I wasn't able to bite through. The whole piece of meat came out. I chewed for a while but determined that I wouldn't be able to swallow the gristle, so... out it came. The manager walked by, and I showed him the clump of inedible meat. He said it's the first time that this has happened. Hmmm... well, at least the bread was soft! Haha! Anyway, it looks like they're set up for catering. Other customers were ordering online. While working out at Planet Fitness - Kahala Mall, my tall and thin husband broached the subject of a post-workout meal. Gosh, we had only been in the gym for half an hour, and I couldn't believe that he'd bring up food when we were only halfway through our workout circuit. Walking to the entrance, a worker opened the door and welcomed us in. It was our first experience in this sandwich shop, and we inquired about which sandwich was the most popular while looking at the sandwich size chart on the countertop. The male worker asked if we were interested in a hot or cold sandwich as he pointed to the menu above the counter. It took us a few seconds to decide, but we finally chose a 10" Classic Italian submarine sandwich. The sandwich shop is clean and kept at a comfortable air-conditioned temperature, with numerous seating options. There is a self-service beverage center with various carbonated and non-carbonated drinks. The service was friendly, and because they prepared our sandwich to order, we waited about 10 minutes before picking up our order. Food: - 10" Classic Italian is filled with Genoa salami, capocolla, prosciuttini, onions, provolone cheese, and oil and topped with shredded lettuce and tomato slices and sandwiched in soft Italian bread. Carnivore's heaven... Not sure how to describe their sandwiches as it seems like you either get veggies or meat strangely not really much of both which is what I do love. Their famous "The Bobbie" is the one to get it seems but the Cap's Classics sounds very intriguing as majority seems to be hot grilled filling which is what I got "Italian Sausage" which includes Provolone cheese, mushrooms, onions, sweet peppers all grilled with marinara sauce which is like the toppings for a pasta is loaded on their Italian roll (half 5", small 8", medium 10" or large 18"). That's it all fillings are grilled which was very yummy with a good amount of filling though with no veggies to bring it all together for me personally would've preferred in on top of a pasta lol! They do also have Cheese Steaks, American Wagyu Roast Beef and for items that does come with fresh veggies it's basically the standard lettuce, tomato and onion with mayo, it would be nice to know which ones are "hot/grilled" as this was my first time. The gentleman who took our order was just basic no personality not a crack of smile who was there to just take our order and did seem to care very much was lack lustered vibe thought the lady who was making our orders I assumed is the franchise owner was the cheerleader greeting and thanking guests while the other employees were just blah... Would love to try The Bobbie when it's closer to Thanksgiving if they're open as I don't do that very much wouldn't mind the sandwich, they have an app which makes ordering simple. My lunch buddy wasn't feeling a sandwich, and ended up getting something called - Capastrami Fries, which looked like thinly cut steak fries, with Pastrami & some sorta cheese or sauce over the fries (sorry I did not try, although my friend had offered me some). Overall, a great meaty sandwich, and if I'm craving a sandwich full of meeeeeeeeeeat, garans I would easily come back here for another sandwich! Now if you're not into sandwiches, or fries, I did see on their menu that they did salads, as well as soups. The service that the Capriotti's staff provided was very friendly and welcoming. Prices for their sandwiches are on point and probably comparable to Jersey Mike's prices for their sandwiches. As a pre-funk to the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday (and because I've been really wanting to try this sandwich), my brother and I split a large size of The Bobbie (Hot) And let me tell you... this did not disappoint! The bread was soft and dare I say... MOIST but that could have been because I kept dipping it in their savory gravy. The stuffing was the right level of salty and mixed in with the hearty flavor of the shredded turkey and the sweetness of the cranberry sauce, I couldn't have been more happy with our lunch (and dinner) choice. Dis buggah was HUGE! I even enjoyed their potato wedges/ fries which was sliced thin enough so I could savor its crispy and not too salty flavor. Although I enjoyed the mashed potato and gravy, I would just opt for the mashed potato on my next run since I didn't need all that potato... which I know, is almost a carb sacrilege to say but it would be easier to dip the sandwich in just the gravy itself. I came here for a quick lunch and got the half 5 inch classic Italian sub. I asked if they could do only salami instead of the other meats on the sandwich, and they said it would work. There wasn't much meat, so I'm not sure if they just got rid of the other meats and didn't replace it with anything else. The sandwich still had really fresh vegetables and a light pepper dressing. The bread was pretty good. I'm not sure if there were customizable options, or if you just have to order from the set menu. The staff was extremely friendly and service was relatively quick. There were a handful of tables inside to enjoy your food, as well as tables outside. The parking situation is awful, and the design of the lot is horrible. When we walked in .. the person behind the counter greeted us and was very helpful in explaining the menu to us and she was also very friendly. We ordered some of the best sellers which was the Capastrami and the American Wagyu Grench Dip . The Capastrami is pastrami with Cole slaw together. It was different and good but I think I prefer a regular pastrami sandwich. Which reminds me how I miss the pastrami sandwich in New York how it is piled high . I purchased the smallest size and unfortunately everything was small in the sandwich... My friend purchased the French Dip and it didn't quite meet her expectations. She said the Au jus was too peppery. Also ordered the "Naked Fries" because I wanted nothing on the fries but salt . These were like steak fries but a little thinner and they were very good!! . But it's only good while it's hot. Prices are on the high side here but you have a choice of sizes . Maybe would be more worth it if you order the large size sandwiches but we couldn't eat that much . It was nice to sit inside to eat and chat awhile and they have about 5 -6 tables available. You can fill your own soda so I assume it's refillable. I was hoping to rate this sandwich shop more than 3 stars but I am sorry to say that I can only give 3 stars for now. On the menu, their popular sandwiches are in red. I ordered Capastrami which supposed to be one of the popular item. It took at least 15 minutes or so for my order. As soon as I unwrapped the sandwich the buns were soft and warm to my satisfaction. I wanted to take a quick photo before my first bite and I noticed there was a generous portion of cole slaw. Don't get me wrong I love cole slaw but I thought it was odd that the sandwich was stuff with more cole slaw than pastrami meat. My husband ordered NY chopped sandwich and he also commented that the ratio for meat to bun was pretty off. As for the taste it was okay. They were obviously running behind today because it took over half an hour to get a sandwich!!!Plus there were 3 workers and another came later. Constant apologies to customers for running behind and even mobile orders were backed up. To add instant to injury my fries were cold. And I love their fries, but not today. I've been waiting for Capriotti's to open after seeing the signs go up a few months next to the Foodland Kahala Mkt, they finally opened a few weeks ago and I've visited 3 times so far to make sure I do a fair review. I've ordered the hot classic meatball, the classic italian, and their famous Bobbie (turkey, stuffing, cranberry) sandwich. Ordered them all online and food was ready to be picked up at the designated time. The Great: Large menu in a variety of sizes to satisfy the all appetites. Variety of hot and cold sandwiches are nice as well as vegetarian options, salads, and kids meals. Their staff is great, always greeting customers warmly and with a smile. The Good: Decent amount of filings and you can customize your order however you want it. Not the cheapest price in town but okay when compared to other shops. The Okay: Sadly actual taste was so so. Not bad but nothing outstanding in my opinion. I had hopes of a shop on par with other famous shops but I think you can get better subs at local places such as Stortos. I'd even place the Safeway fresh deli sandwiches a bit higher on the flavor component. Overall: It's okay, better can be found locally and I so wanted to love this shop.
