The building it's in is very clean and well-kept. The insides is very casual with wooden chairs and tables and of course it's air conditioned. Tgey even have a clean inhouse bathroom. The ordering counter is right as you come in through the front doors. You order at the corner and put a number on your table and when your order is ready they will bring it to you. The staff is cordial and pleasant. The menu is mostly burgers because it is a burger joint and their fries are really good. They have a lot of specialty burgers which is a combination of cool ingredients that really work with the burgers like avocado bacon etc. The drinks are a self serve soda fountain. I usually order online for this location and pick up my food. It works out great and the app is fairly intuitive, so I recommend this option. You can also just walk in and place your order if you prefer. This is a medium-sized location with several seats indoors as well as three picnic-style tables outdoors. There's usually surfing showing on the TV inside and music playing. Last time I visited, it was an odd mixture of folk music. I always enjoy the burgers, fries, and shakes from Teddy's. Yes, they're expensive, but they have been consistently good. The burgers are large and they don't hold back on the toppings. My absolute favorite was the Blue Wave (sadly gone now but shows up every once in a while as a special) with blue cheese on it, but now I enjoy the Kailua burger, with teriyaki, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, and Swiss cheese. The bun is pillowy soft, the burger is served medium to medium-rare and tastes fresh, and the toppings are always generous and add plenty of flavor. The fries are on the softer side rather than crunchy or crispy. They have a good amount of salt and I enjoy them. You can get tater tots (meh) or onion rings for an upcharge. The rings are huge but the upcharge is usually more than I want to pay for the few that you get. I recommend just getting the fries if you're doing a combo. The shakes are delicious. Honestly, the "mini" size is plenty for me and is like a regular small shake elsewhere. They have great flavors like haupia, root beer, peanut butter, and your usual chocolate/strawberry/etc. There's usually a rotating flavor of the month. February's was Dubai chocolate and it had an upcharge of $1. I didn't think it was worth it, as it was basically like a dark chocolate shake with pistachio pieces in it. I wouldn't get it again. It comes out to about $20 per person as my family of 3 had a bill of $57. Restaurant is pretty clean with self serve soda machine and napkin dispensers at each table. When my husband came home I opened my container to find a burger with no cheese, little sauce and it was basically rare.. some parts were medium rare but it was not well done as requested. The fries were super hard, and tasted like they were fried in old grease or fried twice; it was not good. The star of my meal was the Kona Coffee Shake.. it was absolutely delicious! My husband's burger had little to no sauce and one patty was medium and the other was rare. He knows I don't eat my burgers rare so he gave me his patty that was cooked medium. His fries were also hard and didn't taste good, which was unfortunate since they cost $7 for a large. If you eat at this location I highly advise you dine in so you can bring your concerns up immediately. Love burgers. Been to Teddy's many times. Ordered a Kailua and Volcano burger togo with a vanilla shake with a couple extra teddy's sauces. Picked up burgers and was disappointed to find a pretty plain cheeseburger and mystery burger. I didn't want to be a Karen so my boyfriend called to express my concern. He said we needed to take them back and someone would take a look. Drove back, waited in line patiently and was told it would be an about 15 minutes for new burgers. Mistakes happen, but no apology was offered. Waited outside, came back in 15 minutes later. One guy nervously passes bag to cashier and says my name. I ask if all the topping and sauces are on there and he says yes but I had to take a peek in the boxes to double check. Volcano burger looks alright, but pretty light on toppings and sauces. Kailua burger came out with a pinch of grilled onions and a couple of tiny mushrooms. It was so humbug. Usually really like this restaurant and location. Came for lunch at 1:45pm on Sunday May 5, walked in and they told us they were "Temporarily closed because they're so booked". It was really odd because there people sitting down and eating. When we exited, we noticed a handwritten note on the door that said something along the lines of "temporarily closed, sorry for the inconvenience". Totally understand that the kitchen could have been backed up with orders, but I think they should've just given a heads up with a long wait time instead of just suddenly temporarily closing and refusing to take our orders, especially during prime lunch hours on a weekend. Haven't been to Teddy's in years! I didn't see my go-to on the menu, a blue cheese burger. It's been too long I'm sure lol. The cashiers were nice and patient when we were deciding out burgers. We got a Kaneohe Burger, an Aiea Burger, and a Teri burger and a side of fries and onion rings. Tip: you can ask for ketchup packets. All the burgers are cooked medium, which I like. I'm sure if you ask for well done, they might cook it for you. The Teri burger was good and not super sweet. My mom loved it. The Kaneohe Burger was pretty good. Regular burger with avocado. I got the 5 oz volcano burger. Jalapeños and pepper jack cheese with volcano bbq sauce. I got the combo with fries and medium drink. It wasn't too spicy until I ran out of bbq sauce. First it is real hamburger. You can taste the beef. Also you can choose the size of hamburger patty and how many. Lots of different styles to choose from. Teddy has its own sauce that they like to use. The fries were crispy. I also liked that they had unsweetened tea. That's always a plus for me. Sorry I forgot to take photos. First time I came to this location and we dined in. The cashier helping me and two other friends was really nice and fast. We went around 6pm and the place wasn't too busy. We ordered all the different fries, one order onion rings (beer battered) and I got the single burger. Fries were okay but I liked the onion rings the best. Burger was good and I like the special sauce. You can decide on burger temp which I like and food came out pretty quick. I asked for take out boxes because we couldn't finish the fries and cashier was really nice and gave us all we needed. Did online ordering...pretty easy. Hubs got whatever the spicy burger is. He loves it. I got the single cheeseburger with mayo. Mayo and mustard oozing everywhere...and they threw in a couple packets of mayo. Yikes. Next time maybe no sauces and I'll just put my own. I also hate messy burgers. Burgers are good. There are other options. Veggie burgers, chicken burgers, chicken fingers and all sorts of specialty sandwiches and burgers. Prices are high. For a basic burger combo it's $18-$19. A specialty burger combo could run $25 or more. Cost of fast food is high everywhere. A Whopper combo is $15 at Burger King so that puts these prices in perspective. I do think a family of 4 could do better elsewhere but if the family all wants burgers this isn't a bad option. Just expect to shell out $60 at a minimum. Incidentally they do have a Burgers family pack. 2 single burgers, 2 kids burgers, two large fries and 4 fountain drinks for $62.50. Not sure if that's such a great deal as the single burger is only $12 and doesn't include cheese. Probably a better way to do it is sharing some items and bring your own drinks in a thermos. I love this place, but they're not cheap. My meals always run about $20 (burger, side and drink). Today I ordered the teri burger with onion rings and the Lucky Charms shake. It came out to $22. They cook their burgers medium. It came out perfect. The teri sauce was good. The orange sauce on the lettuce was outstanding. It tasted like a cross between honey mustard and thousand island. I just couldn't get enough of their orange sauce, which they describe as a sweet and tangy aioli sauce. The onion rings were huge. I'm happy that they use whole onion pieces instead of minced onion. The best part of this meal was the milkshake. Their milkshakes kill it every time. I saw the advertisement for the limited time Lucky Charms milkshake on the wall and decided to get it. I was a little hesitant because I thought that it was going to be overly sweet. The sweetness was just right and it was so creamy. I could see the pieces of cereal and marshmallows that they sprinkled on the top. The texture was just right. It wasn't too thick and it wasn't too thin. The burgers here are always great and never disappointed. The burger patties are always prepared or cooked to your preference. I always get mine medium rare. It's prefect. Everything on the menu looks so good. The burgers are pretty big and it does get messy when eating it. You'll definitely need more than just a few napkins to finish these style of burgers. The onion rings don't look so appealing but it does taste pretty good. And don't forget about the tator tots. It's a must for me. read more
