Got the plant-based turkey sandwiches, and they were so good! For my kiddo, got the grilled cheese sandwich -- perfect! And a variety of sizes available for the subs, so I got the medium for my spouse, a small for me, and the "half" size for the older folks who don't eat as much. When you order, you can specify what ingredients you want or don't want, and if you want extras such as pickles or double cheese. Counter staff was very nice, and the order was made quickly. A Las Vegas based chain with a near 50 year history recently expanded to the Kansas City market with 2 locations. With the marketing tagline of "Greatest Sandwich in America", I had no other option than to order "The Bobbie" a Thanksgiving meal on a roll. They roast Turkeys in house and use the pulled tender meat, top with a dressing similar to Stove Top Stuffing and a liberal dose of sweet cranberry sauce and a smear of mayo. The roll is doughy and easily tearable for small breakaway bites. The taste combination was very nice and it's comforting to know that a Thanksgiving "meal" is available year round. Is this the greatest sandwich in America? NO. It's not even the best sandwich in Kansas City, but it's pretty darn tasty for a corporate sub shop chain and I'll go as far as saying it's the best turkey sandwich I've ever had. Didn't get what I ordered (paid for extra meat on my chopped salad and maybe got a quarter cup of ham only on the salad). Even if this was the standard amount and they missed the note, it's still not what the menu says it would be. Pretty darn good. I'm not a "sandwich shop" sort of person so I had pretty low expectations when we decided to check this place out. So much so, I didn't even bother to snap a picture. I was totally expecting a big ol' shrug from this place. But my "meh" morphed to "mmm" after trying the Grilled Italian. The spicy peppers are one the hotter side of the spice-mild continuum but not overwhelming. If you learn nothing else from this post, learn this: order the fries. Just do. I've never had a fry like these weirdly shaped, perfectly crisp, well seasoned beauties. My spouse ordered fries, I did not. He was kind enough to share which is basically... well, you get it love birds... Next time I go back I want to try a Turkey sandwich... They roast a full bird in-house and then dress it Thanksgiving leftovers style. When I walked in, I let the guy at the counter know it was my first trip, and he was super helpful, explaining the different sizes of the sandwich and made a recommendation to try the classic cheesesteak. This place is very clean and everyone is super friendly. You're greeted as soon as you walk in and when your order is ready, everybody says thank you. I got my order to go. A helpful tip shared by the guy at the counter is that if you download their app for every $100 you spend you get $10 back in credit. He let me know my receipt had a barcode that I could scan to get the app and to start my credits. They also let me know they be opening a second location in Gladstone. Besides classic sandwiches they also have American Wagu beef and french fries and vegetarian options plus salads. My sandwich was very good. 10/10 highly recommend read more

Sandwiches are above average. I wish the owners would pay their help so they wouldn't have to beg for tips on line. Or is the owners taking taxes out of the tips before the employee gets what's left. However, all the ingredients were fresh, tasty, and he puts his own spin on each sandwich. Now for the actual sandwiches, I like to use the Portnoy style 0-10 score rating. One bite, one rating, everyone knows the drill. First one, the 'American Wagyu Cheese Steak', he said "my cheesesteaks are served with Wagyu and that's what sets us apart..." topped with White American cheese, mushrooms, onions, sweet peppers. Pretty tasty sandwich. I give it a 7.2 score. Second, 'The Capastrami', which is Pastrami, Swiss cheese, Cole slaw, & Russian dressing. I'm not a big Cole slaw on the sandwich guy, but I know it's big in Southern style pulled pork barbecue. It was good though! I give it a 7.0 score. Last sandwich was a turkey sub called, 'The Bobbie' and its turkey, topped with cranberry sauce, stuffing, mayo. It has been voted "The Greatest Sandwich in America" and he said it tastes like "Thanksgiving Dinner". Reese (my girlfriend) didn't like that it had stuffing in it. I gave it a 6.8 score. Ordered Cole Turkey small. The sandwich was mediocre. Turkey was dry, saving grace there was cole slaw. Ratio of meat to cole slaw was way off. Also way too much bread. Suggest using different bread or removing some from the middle to balance out the ratios. Not in a big hurry to return after spending over $10. read more

I love it. I drive past this place all the time. I read Stephanie Plum novels and always hoped for a deli/sandwich shop similar to what she talks about in the books in New York. This is it! I was super disappointed to find out though that the drive thru is for Starbucks and not Caprioti's. Parking isn't great and I had to wake a sleeping toddler to go in for my order. However, that's the only negative I have. The food is spectacular. I was greeted the second I walked in by a very cheerful cashier. And on the way out both toddlers were ridiculously excited about the lollipops. I ordered a wagyu French dip. I am a sucker for any French dip- the wagyu only made it more desirable. This was my first experience with wagyu and I'll actually probably go with the regular beef next time. The wagyu is almost too rich with the cheese and au jus. My toddlers went nuts over the fries and they ate almost the entire large fries on their own instead of splitting their bbq chicken sandwich. I might just order my own bbq chicken next time! It was amazing!! The fries are definitely unique. They are wide like steak fries but super thin almost like chips. I thought my 2 y/o was going to choke shoving them in so fast. I wish I would have tried them fresh but they were still decent after sitting a good bit before we got home with them. I assume they are crazy amazing fresh. I read reviews before going. It may seem pricey but I compared to my usual Jimmy John's order for cold sandwiches and chips- total was only $4 more to feed myself and my toddlers. For wagyu, hot sandwiches unmatched anywhere else- small price to pay. I was actually sold on the place after reading the restaurant's response to a negative review! We stopped in this afternoon for the first time, and not only was the food amazing (cheese steak and grilled Italian), but the service was exemplary. It was a lunch rush, and the entire team was hustling to stay on top of orders! There was a gentleman wearing a red jacket who seemed to be running things at the ordering and expo stations, and his customer service was exemplary. First time in tonight since they opened. Very impressed! I'm vegetarian and they had several options to choose from. I got the Impossible cheese steak and it is so good! My husband got the classic cheese steak and he said his was really good too. The staff was knowledgeable and helped me to pick which veggie sub to try. The restaurant is small but very clean and had a great selection. It is a little pricey for subs but the quality is superior to what you'd get at other sub restaurants so I don't mind paying more. I must say, this experience was bitter/sweet. For choice meat this sandwich shop is a good place to try hands down, however the service for me was lacking. The older lady that took my order was about as friendly as a pit bull chasing a cat. Sad. I hadn't eaten for hours so I overlooked it (this isn't the norm for me). The Italian Sub would've been on point, but it was overloaded with basil (may have been basil bread as well) so much so that I threw it up. Omg how irritating! Most sandwich shops ask if I want basil or allow me to request it, but this wasn't the case. Sandwiches are not my favorite meals, or at least they weren't before trying this lovely place. I CRAVE this place all the time and so does my husband. The Wagyu Philly with hot peppers instead of mushrooms is to die for. If you don't like spicy do NOT get the hot peppers because they are very spicy. The bread is always fresh and delicious.
