I love the concept of this place. It's such a cute idea, and everything is made fresh to order. The space is clean, organized, and has a few tables to sit and enjoy your meal. The service was great as well. The food, however, was just okay for me. The pasta was overcooked and lacked seasoning. The pizza was also undercooked and didn't have marinara sauce, so it ended up tasting mostly like cheese, bread, and sausage and even the sausage was pretty bland. Free parking lot. Inside is very spacious and there are several kiosks that you can order from. I ordered the panna e funghi and it did not meet my expectations. The sauce was bland and the pasta was very chewy which I didn't like. The little bread that came with it was a bit hard. Overall, the pasta was mediocre and I expected more flavor and better quality pasta. My friend had a pizza and she also said it was flavorless. Upon arrival food was ready, but I had to remind them about my soda and still ended up leaving without my prepaid extra side of sauce. Items of order, build your own pizza was a big miss for me. Pizza was under cooked, cheese not melted, pepperoni not cooked and dough was wet/soggy. Side ceasar salad was tasty. We made the extra drive to give this place a try and were well rewarded for our efforts. The staff were friendly and helpful and checked in on us to make sure any questions or needs were met. Based on photos I'd seen on Yelp, I had mistakenly thought the portions might be small. But they are hearty and I didn't even finish my Tagliatelle with carbonara sauce, bacon, and sausage. The sausage was the "sweet" rather than the "hot" style of Italian sausage and had good flavor. And it made for a rich and hearty meal. And the fresh roll was an excellent touch. My wife had a Caesar Salad with flatbread. She said the salad was good for this type of venue and the dressing was tasty. I sampled the flatbread and it had an excellent crust and the marinara had fresh flavors and a note of basil. There is a variety of seating, including a table on the sidewalk. We tried the margarita pizza... the crust was great, but I've never had a margarita pizza with no fresh basil or any basil. I would try a different pizza for the crust alone. We also had the Bolognese with tagliatelle and penne with a creamy sauce and sausage ... we both highly recommend. We tried the cannolis and tiramisu while we waited for our food to go because that's how we roll. We were very happy and hope to see this place stands the test of time! I also work with a nonprofit organization that she graciously donated to and took great care of us during our dine in experience. Had a wonderful dinner at Pochino Italy tonight! Four of my friends each had different pasta each one was absolutely delicious! Super easy to order and they make it all right there! The staff was extremely welcoming. Kelly and John were wonderful and so kind. They were so attentive and let us have such a nice dinner! Great atmosphere and the restaurant has a great vibe. The manager was kind enough to bring us such delicious gelato and cannoli! It was my first time eating a Connoli so that was fun. You order at the counter and then when your food is ready the staff calls your name. The salads are delicious and they are very colorful and fresh. My husband and I went tried this for the first time last week. We ordered a pizza for two, and weren't sure how big it would be, so got some bread sticks/sauce with it. The red sauce (which we had to order separately, $2) was refrigerated. They heated it up on request, just kind of odd, and not worth the hassle. That said, the pizza was plenty big enough for two, and absolutely delicious! It was relatively busy for a weeknight, and I noticed they didn't have staff to wipe tables between customers, but otherwise the service was friendly. One of the owners came around to our table while we were there, and chatted a bit about their concept. I hope they do well, we'll be back to try it again, but I think they have a couple small kinks to work out. read more

Very clean and very friendly. 100 cleanliness rating. Had super high expectations after returning from Italy 2 weeks ago and the press and comments made advertising for this place! Pizza sauce was super bland, watery, and not flavorful at all. Pizza crust was fantastic. Somehow they said they were out of Basil! Publix is right down the street, pretty unacceptable to not have basil at an Italian restaurant Pepper noodles were dry, but tasted ok. We will try again in a couple of months when they hopefully make some changes and dial things in on true Italian flavorful food. Man we wanted this to be awesome, but at this time it wasn't. I'll start with the good: The service is fantastic. The folks who work here are kind and efficient. The Caesar salad we ordered was delicious. So was the side of sausage we got. The interior is bright and clean - you could tell it's well kept by the employees. The bad: The pasta. I ordered the Panna e Funghi with pappardelle and my husband ordered the Amatriciana with gnocchi so we got to try one white and one red sauced dish. My Panna e Funghi was so cooked that it verged on mush. I couldn't wrap the pasta around my fork without it falling apart so I ended up digging at it like mashed potatoes. There was barely any mushroom flavor so it tasted more like thick cream. I ended up throwing it out after several bites. My husband's dish, the Amatriciana, i feel less confident to review because I haven't had it many times. He seemed to like it with exception of the powdered cheese it was covered with. The gnocchi, however, also suffered a similar fate to my pappardelle. Overall, this is probably a great spot for college kids looking for some comfort food on the cheap(ish?) ($45 for two pasta dishes, a side of Italian sausage, and a Caesar salad) but not the place to go if you want some good pasta. I might come back to try their bolognese and carbonara but I'll need to put more distance between me and my last experience before I do. read more

If I lived near this place I gain the 100lbs I fought to lose moving to the south. Pizza, fresh, tasty, loved the crust! Bolognese gnocchi made me think of my favorite Italian restaurant in LGB. I really wanted to like this place since its so close but I couldnt. I took my neices here after a trampoline park and we ordered the a margarita flat bread. And some gelato. The gelato was the only dessert that didnt have a picture on the menu. When we got the gelato they were pre packaged and definitely not worth the price they charge for it. I noticed after we were more than half way done that they had expired oct of 2024. I let the o e of the staff know. I wasn't expecting anything since we had eaten them. It was more to let them know that they were selling expired items. I at least was expecting an apology but no she just said thank you for letting her know. Which I took as they already knew they were expired. The margarita pizza is not a traditional style margarita pizza although they say they are authentic. There was no fresh mozzarella slices, no basil...it was a cheese pizza with very little cheese and flavor. I dont think I will be back here after that experience we had. read more

I've really enjoying eating here at Pochino. The staff are awesome and so is the food. I've tried a number of their pastas and my favorite is the formaggi on tagliatelle.
