I scored a great deal of a free entreé with the purchase of a drink. I placed the order online so that it would be ready by the time I got there. Service was fat and everyone was friendly. By the time I arrived, they were bagging my food. A quick in and out, even though they were busy. The I side was spacious and most of the tables were full of patrons enjoying their meals. Ordered my food from Door dash, which was not the issue. My "Rachel", sister to Reuben, had no sauerkraut at all those it was advertised to come with it. My salad had the dressing cup sitting snugly in the salad. Ugh and yuck. Everyone in the kitchen has sneezed on it. It's not sanitary. It's like putting the ketchup in the fries container. To start off, we went on the day of their T-Mobile promotion. We went in at 8pm and it was mobbed. The line wasn't moving as the were not adequately staffed! We were on line for 20 minutes then we gave our order. The manager told us it would take 30 minutes to get the food. It came in 25 minutes. While wife was having a doctor visit nearby, I found this place for a quick lunch. In short, I ordered the club sandwich with sea salt chips as the side with water to dine in. I visit this location a couple times a month for a quick lunch. My usual is the tortilla soup (the best!), chef salad and an unsweet tea with strawberry puree. I like to order online about 20 minutes before I need the food and grab it to go. Beware, they can get very backed up at lunchtime due to the close proximity to the hospital and local offices. If you are short on time you really should order ahead on the app (which should be common practice for anywhere at lunch time when you don't have time). I recently came in for just a big bowl of country potato and a tea which was great. My husband had a bowl of chili. He was slightly disappointed that the chili came out plain with no toppings. He did go up to the counter to request a side of cheese and sour cream and the staff was happy to oblige and did not charge him. He just thought they probably should have asked when he ordered. Ran in to order some soup and half a grilled cheese for my boyfriend who was in the hospital on a limited diet. Asked for the kids grilled cheese because it was on white bread and only had one cheese type on it. The woman at the front taking my order was INCREDIBLY SLOW. Instead of just ringing up a kids grilled cheese she made a ton of adjustments to their regular four cheese grilled sandwich which ended up being more expensive at my expense! When I finally got the grilled cheese and brought it to my boyfriend in the hospital it was pitiful! The entire sandwich looked like it had been sitting on the floor for about five days! It was rockhard and the cheese looked like it was put under such high heat that it was completely melted into the grooves of the hard bread. Yep. I have been living under a rock. I have passed dozens of these, yet never eaten at one. Something got me curious tonight and I decided to try them out because the menu sounded pretty good and I was in a soup and sandwich mood. I ordered the French dip and a cup of chili and decided on a whim to throw in a brookie. The French dip was absolute perfection. Packed full of flavor and a generous portion of really tender beef. The au jus was liquid gold. The chili was delicious. Lots of meat and filling but not too heavy. Ideal for satisfying that cold weather a soup craving. I don't even know what made me order the brookie. I'm a serious snob when it comes to brownies and I don't like most of them so I usually don't even bother. It Hass to be just the right texture and just the right thickness and I don't like any crunch to it but I like it to be tender and chewy. It was OMG. So delicious. Just perfect. Oh my gosh we ordered lunch today blindly from McAllister's. We've never eaten here before and We were unsure of how the sandwiches would be. My husband got a club I got the veggie a side order of chili potato salad and tomato cucumber salad. The food was amazing fresh prepared with a genuine touch :) I even called after order was made to add cheese to my sandwich and they happily obliged. They were out of broccoli and out of two others sides my mother had asked for before she asked for the fruit. When we finally received our meal after a long wait, her sandwich was completely cold. While my soup was bland but piping hot. They forgot to give us our fruit cup so we asked for one. When we received it I went to eat some and there was mold on my fruit. read more
