It does get chillier after the sun sets, but you can stand by the fire pits to keep you warm. Last night, which was a Friday, they had a live band from 6-9pm, which was awesome. Leggy's thighs (RIP Leggy) were literally the best chicken I'd ever had, fall off the bone tender and topped off with flavorful furikake and hot pickled fresno chilis. We were looking for dinner Saturday night and of the limited options this place looked potentially good. I was terribly wrong. We walked in to see one other table occupied. Sure, it's the offseason, whatever. We ordered a couple of frozen drinks and the problems immediately started. The bartender used way too much ice in the blender. The drinks were obviously undrinkable but served anyway. The drinks did not melt by the time we left. Maybe the food would be good. Wrong again. The lobster in the lobster pasta was tough. I almost hope it wasn't fresh because it would have been a waste. The linguine with clams was no better. At the end of the meal my girlfriend remarked that she had never seen me not finish my dinner. (I wish I could accurately describe sushi/fish in better detail, but I can't so just trust me on this one!) For my main course, I ordered the hot lobster roll, and as an avid lobster roll-lover, it did not disappoint. The lobster was served in generous, chunky pieces with just the right amount of butter. It came with fries that were perfectly crispy, though I do wish they had been seasoned a bit more. The restaurant overlooks the inlet, making it the perfect spot to relax and watch the boats come and go. The staff was welcoming, and the service was excellent from start to finish. They also played great music -- that particular day they were playing country music (a southerner's dream!). Last but not least, another bonus is the location. There are several charming little shops just steps away, making it easy to browse before or after your meal. My biggest fear is it's going to be super crowded the next time I'm back in Montauk and I won't get a table.
