I took the ferry from New London, CT to Orient Point and drove the hour + to this amazing location. I had friends playing in the band that night... all top musicians and a few of international fame in the hard rock genre so it was for sure worth the trip just to see them.. good job booking them Lynn! the big surprise was the amazing staff. -Lynn herself was all over the place creating a vibe like this was a backyard party not just another venue- Dimitri was great behind the bar and the whole staff seemed really happy to be there to bring the party to us! The food was amazing as well.. I never had to ask for a knife and fork for a Hot Dog before, but didn't want to unhinge my jaw to take a bite!- it was righteous !!! the Watermelon puree margarita was my go to drink and I appreciated the lemon/lime water stations inside and out to pace myself from overdoing it.. it helped that the weather was perfect too on the Saturday I went. The new location is on the Cove Marina with beautiful boats as the backdrop to her fantastic bands playing nightly that are there to enhance the classic waterfront tiki vibe, which have been loved by all for the last 12 years. The full kitchen served us a plentiful variety of appies, tacos, lobster rolls, and a full dinner menu. I was incredibly disappointed to try Lynn's Hula Hut which has taken over a beloved spot in Montauk, The Hideaway. I went with my family for the first and last time last night. I went inside to ask the hostess if we were meant to order inside, which was how it was done at the Hideaway. The owner was in what seemed to be an intense conversation with the hostess and asked me to wait, so I did, without issue. I waited for a few minutes and they continued to have their conversation, so I said I would come back and went to join my family to look at the menu. At that point, it was not a big deal, I understand needing a moment. Then, incredibly Lynn came out and tried to pick a fight with me, saying that I had "huffed off" which was not the case. She proceeded to do her best to continue to instigate an argument with me in front of my family. I was there to have a nice night with my family, not to be rage baited by someone who was trying to take their bad day out on me. It's surprising and disturbing for someone in a customer service role to actively pursue an argument with a customer like that, especially in front of someone's children. It was very upsetting and odd, we should have left then and unfortunately didn't. My husband went in to order and Lynn apologized to my husband and said she had "misread" the situation, which is an understatement. She said she had a bad day, me too, lady, except I didn't make my bad day your problem. Beyond this incredibly rude and upsetting interaction, the food was terrible and overpriced. The new look and feel of this place with its cheap tiki hut vibe and cringe worthy remixes of otherwise great music was honestly depressing. The Hideaway was a favorite spot for many years in Montauk where folks could get great fresh food in a non-pretentious environment. Sadly, those days are over. I won't ever waste my money or time being rudely mistreated while overpaying for crappy food with poor service in an oddly charged environment. read more

Rude bartender from the moment we walked up to the bar .....made mistake of sitting on the bar stools and was told" we are moving the bar stools so that we keep the bar open for the lines " ( mind you we were the only 5 people there at 330 pm). Next we ordered an espresso martini off the specialty drink Menu " No espresso Martini" ok then we will have a pina collada "I can make one but not frozen" ...ok We order a margarita on the rocks with Salt , he makes the margarita no salt, ask again for salt ...."no salt , it doesn't stick to the cups " wouldn't you say that before you make the margarita??? Next we put down a credit card on the bar ....."cash bar only " which also should have been advised in advance. What it comes down to is obviously we Interrupted his day and he was annoyed and everything a problem . Been wanting to stop by here for a while and now that's out of the way there is no need to return ..... $80 for 5 watered down drinks .....only good part was the entertainment as he was very good . This is a really great gem located in the parking structure at the Montauk Marine Basin. It has become a hotspot with both the locals and the vacationing Manhattan crowd. You can order an exotic cocktail, stick your toes in the sand and listen to some really great live bands. The bartender (who was extremely rude while serving us) kicked everyone out at 9:30 because she had to catch a train home to Southampton. Not sure who owns this place but they could've done a lot more in sales had she stayed open an extra half hour or so, she had at least 7-8 of us there drinking plus two more who had just arrived when she suddenly announced we all had four minutes to finish everything and get out... it's a shame because this place is adorable, really nice ambiance that she totally killed. read more

We were so happy to find this gem of a bar last weekend! It has such a great vibe with the live music! The drinks were great, there's a small menu with some good bites - I had the shrimp tacos which were pretty good and went well with the margaritas! The only negative is that the bathrooms are a little walk outside the bar down by the marina and you need a key for them but that wasn't an issue. Overall I'll definitely be back the next time I'm out on the east end! read more

Stopped in as lovers of all things tiki as soon as we got into Montauk. It was around 2pm on a Thursday and no one was there so I asked a woman sitting inside if they were open, she said yes coldly then walked behind the bar and asked me what I wanted, presiding to roll her eyes when I asked for a pain killer (which is on the menu she never gave me). There were 3 fruit flies in my drink, which I understand happens with sugar and juice mixes. But when I visit tiki and cocktail bars that are charging $14-18 per drink I don't expect to see any in there. She saw me removing them and said nothing. It's a shame that they have such a rude and unwelcoming bartender bc the actual bar is adorable! I've been in the service industry and I know everyone has bad days but then I came onto yelp and she seems to be the common theme around negative reviews. The owner Lynn has been doing a great job complying with all of the Covid-19 rules, which could be hard, especially when some customers think the rules do not apply to them and pretend to be someone they are not to excuse their behavior. I was just at Lynn's Hula hut last night 8/25 and had a great time. Unfortunately there were a few females that loudly claimed they were nurses and refused to follow the rules of the bar/restaurant and NYS due to COVID-19. The owner gave them multiple warnings to correct their actions for the safety of themselves, other patrons and the owner's liquor license but they failed to do so. This resulted in them being asked to leave. I'm a nurse myself and was appalled by the behavior. The owner did a fantastic job not letting these ladies ruin anyone else's night. My husband and I continued to enjoy the live entertainment, even with a quick squall that threatened to ruin the night. read more

This place is incredibly cute - right in the marina, wonderfully put together. I loved the setting so much, but the actual experience left much to be desired. We ordered two drinks - both tasted as if they were made with no alcohol and minimal flavor. when we ordered food, there was only one vegetarian option and the waitress had absolutely zero interest in helping me find something else to eat by adjusting a regular menu item to fit what i was looking for. when we were ready to leave, we waited about 20 minutes looking for someone to cash us out (the bar was next to empty so it's not like they were too busy), and honestly we were just about ready to walk about when someone ended up walking out of a back room. in the end, the bill came to $42. This was so annoying, as we had barely had a quarter of each of our drinks (again, they were completely unenjoyable) and one food item that we had to buy even though it wasn't what we were looking for. i would hope that next time, we would be met with a waitstaff that was interested in helping their guests have an enjoyable visit, people who knew how to make drinks that were actually worth $14 each, and just an overall feeling that whoever owns this place cares about what happens there just as much as they care about cute decor. read more

The owner is incredibly nice & sure has a flair for the Hula-fication of a parking lot-she actually did such a great job that all you see are the cute & quirky little accents everywhere you look, the working fishing docks across the drive, & really awesome attitude on everyone there! Laid back crowd of all ages, great music, comfy seating, excellent live music with no cover (!), simple but good drinks that were, as expected, Montauk-pricey. But that's ok-hope it helps keep the place in business & pays for great bands to keep playing, like Deep-C Revival-they were really a crowd pleaser! One suggestion I'd have is to skip some plastic trash by selling & encouraging regulars to bring & use some reusable cup w/the beautiful logo on them. Discount for BYO Official Reusable Hula Cup? Cuts back on the trash bill, great keepsakes for visitors & good for keeping plastic out of our oceans for wildlife, locals, & tourists alike! By the way, the drinks here are cold & good-you can skip the plastic straw, too! Just remember to say 'No Straw, please-the bar staff were very nice & seemed to get it!' I have been a patron at Lynn's for the past three summers and have generally had positive experiences. However, this summer has been quite different. The bartender, who has been working every time I've frequented the location, is incredibly rude and has made the overall experience far less enjoyable. The owner was running around throwing tubs of pre made macaroni salad on the bar for the bartender to stow for some upcoming event(s). I have been meaning to come here for years, I just never got around to it. It's been getting more and more popular not sure why. The owner has her own line of spirits Hula juice. Didn't try it, only saw some canned beers that didn't appeal to me so I had a Captain Morgan's and Coke. It was in a plastic cup, the place as I mentioned is in a parking lot. It was $13 bucks !! Are you kidding me... Can you imagine what one of their concoction drinks with Hula juice cost. The bartender saved this and made it 2 stars, decent amount of rum in the drink. read more

Today was our first time at Lynn's! She did not disappoint! Her drinks were amazing and I love how all of her cocktails were organic based. My husband and I both had the hula juice, lynns lotta colada, and bourbon infused lemonade. I loved them all since you could not really taste the alcohol!
