I just absolutely love this tap house. They have something for everyone with their generous beers on tap selection, crafted cocktails, and fridge full of "singles" you may enjoy in-house. The bartender staff is stacked with professional experience ranging from seasoned Las Vegas bar managers to culinary school graduates. They truly care about their craft and also showcase joy and fun during their shifts, which naturally becomes infectious to the patrons. It's also clear Caps is proud to be a Camas neighborhood establishment. They host multiple community events including "Open Mic night", "Drag Bingo", and "Tuesday Trivia". I am so grateful to have such a wonderful place to kickback and unwind with my friends and neighbors. I am very puzzled by some of the negative reviews. I sincerely believe staff members would correct any drink or food item you found unsatisfactory without blinking an eye. They are professionals. What an excellent taproom & little bottle shop! They have an extensive taplist featuring mostly local regional beers & ciders, along with cocktails. There are a couple of coolers with a good variety of brews to-go as well. And they have a small food & snack menu. They sometimes host special events, so follow them on Instagram for updates. We recently visited them for their beer & cheese pairing flight special event that they did with cheeses from Camas Cheese Co., and it was so delicious! First time here pleasantly surprised! Traditional pub environment dark and cozy. Did not try beer but it's clear there is a nice sized cooler to go along a great selection in house. We tried the Cubans sandwich; not traditionally made they had a shredded tuna salad like consistency instead of the usual slab of pork. Did have good flavor but were a bit disappointed in the consistency. Worth a try. Nachos were generous with ingredients and very well balanced. Highly recommend. I love Caps N' Taps. It's one of my go-to's for a beer with friends or a chill night out with the husband. They have such a relaxed, comfortable vibe and it's never difficult to order a drink. Having food options like nachos or sliders is also great, whether you're in for some night munchies or lunch. They have 20 taps that rotate regularly and just recently my husband and I tried their Abyss Stout Flight Special which included 6 samples of the same stout, but from different years. It was amazing to see the differences! I would love to see them extend their weekend hours to later one day if possible, since there are not that many places open late in Camas. Decent food and drinks selection. The nachos with kalua pork was a fun take on a pub classic and pretty good. This pub is dog friendly, which is pretty awesome but also comes with some drawbacks. There was a particularly vocal dog sitting inside with its owners that made it difficult to fully relax and enjoy our time there. That I know of, this is the only indoor dog friendly restaurant in Camas. It's the best taproom in downtown Camas but the menu is limited. I had the pulled pork Banh Mi with chips ($10.95) and it was pretty good. Would have been better if they used a baguette or French roll. It's crazy busy at Happy Hour. Its a fun lively venue. So many beers, so little time! As luck would have it, the Camas Days celebration was upon us this weekend. After realizing there was a cover charge to enter the sadly underpopulated beer garden, my husband and I popped in to Caps n Taps to have a welcome beverage. The bartender and server were very kind and engaging from the moment we arrived. After receiving some samples, we ordered our beers and as we waited, I looked around to take everything in and was thrilled to see that a customer had a dog at a table with them inside! My husband had the Deschutes Not The Stoic and loved it; I had the Schilling Grapefruit Cider and it was THE BOMB! The atmosphere is awesome; several TVs are mounted on the walls and enough space between the tables to have a private conversation and avoid feeling encroached upon by your neighbor. Been going here since they opened with the original owner(s). Came here day two, day one was just so crazy. Michelle took over and has done a decent job of sprucing it up and bringing in new offerings. We weren't huge fans before she bought it but would go every now and then for a change of pace in little downtown Camas. Michelle definitely brings a much better owner-relationship to the place, she's very nice and pays attention to everyone. I understand the why about bringing in hard liquor and I'm sure it was needed but the way it's done really isn't very great. It's kind of an awkward looking storage system. Having said that, without making big changes that's probably the best approach. It's not really built to accommodate a "bar" like that but hey I get it, some folks just want a vodka/tonic. We go there more often now that Michelle is the owner, respect that she took this on and hope she got a good financial deal. Love that she's bringing in more beer/cider in the fridge to take home. This is by far my favorite tap house. Their rotating taps are fantastic and local but the beers they have in the refrigerators are truly amazing. The owner, Michelle, is typically always there and loves talking to everyone. Plus, they hold a trivia night on Monday nights. I suggest trying it. Great new spot. Hit this gem up for happy hour with some co-workers a few weeks back. A bit crowded as it was Friday afternoon, but we had no problem grabbing a few seats at the bar. The beer selection was great and from what I hear they have a nice rotation going. They had a few snacks to hold us over while we waited for our food to arrive. Good beer list, looking forward to more exclusive beers as the restaurant grows. Large HD TV's in multiple locations so you can watch the game without squinting or without low res blur. We stopped by fairly late on a Friday and the place was PACKED. Yay for them!! Even with being slammed busy, the bartender took the time to help a needy whiny acquaintance choose a beer. The place is clean and NOT a dive bar. It's a craft beer bar and the only 'crap' beer you will find is PBR in the can. But, they do carry a variety of beers, so the average Coors Light drinker can get a basic Pilsner or Kolsch without worry. Or, the can of PBR. My rating will go up to 5 stars as the taplist expands. It takes a damn good beer to get me out of the house, so my standards are high and I have a feeling they will meet them. read more
