This was my second time here and I still love it. We pulled in for an early lunch. I don't know the servers name but she is always chill and I like her vibe. The food selection is pretty solid - we had the prime rib sando and I had the chicken and Brie sando. Both were pretty good but I preferred my chicken. I will say the burgers are also dynamite. Great beers on tap and the cocktails available are ridiculously good. This is a great spot in Camas. I grew up in the Shoug so it's nice to see some nicer restaurants in town when I come home. Talk about a hit for the little town of Camas! We stumbled upon the Feast for my birthday a couple months ago... it immediately became a favorite. First, let's talk about their drink game. I'm a gin martini guy and they know how to put a smile on my face! Their bartenders are excellent. My partner loves their wine selection. He even strayed to trying their whisky recently and enjoyed that, as well! Second, their food well portioned and beautifully presented. My first meal there was a beautifully roasted chicken with a potato side... absolutely delish! My second time they weren't offering that special so I ordered the chicken off the standard menu. It was fine but one could venture to say that maybe they're heavy with the sauce. I like a more natural presentation of food without all the sauce fuss. Nonetheless, it was decent. My partner has ventured all over their menu and has been pleasantly pleased with all his choices. Lastly, I will rebut the other reviews of "reservations, had to wait, empty tables, blah blah blah"... nonsense. Our first experience we did not have a reservation. This is a small establishment and they staff for the night / crowd they expect... part of that algorithm is how many reservations they have. Yes, there may be empty tables but they also will seat you when they have the staff available to serve you. We'll even go farther to say, we personally prefer not being pushed out of our table so they can turn-and-burn for a tip. They take their time, they give you time to converse and enjoy. They aren't pushy, they move at a timed and rhythmic pace to allow for a good and enjoyable experience. Food is excellent, service is stellar, price is appropriate for the quality and ambiance. We can't recommend this place enough. For those who are just poking around to write a negative review, shame on you. This is a great little gem in Camas. We should take some local pride and lift up our locally owned restaurants. We highly recommend and look forward to returning! read more

To start, the food was excellent, but the service was slow and staff did not communicate as well as we would have expected. We did ask to sit outside, so maybe that was part of the problem, but it felt like we were forgotten. The restaurant was pretty slow, so things could have gone better Appetizer took 50 minutes to arrive and that's after enquiring about it. Appetizers are typically ordered to be a dish that can arrive fairly quickly before the main meal, so the long time it took to get it could have been communicated upfront at least. Then again, I had to inquire about the main meal as another 25 more minutes had gone by after the appetizer. We only had an hour and a half for dinner, as we had to pick up kids from an event, and due to the time it took to be seated and order (and we ordered right away), there was no time left and we had to get boxes to go. Again the food was excellent quality, but it took just too long. Super disappointing experience and things could have and should have been great. In these days of inflation, the quality of the meal is just as important as the quality of the experience. It was an expensive meal, so the experience was even more important than usual and it was also a birthday dinner. Certainly not as fun to have an expensive take out meal. read more

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary with a dinner at Feast at 316. It was our first time to eat at the restaurant. We ordered their Caesar salad, the 14 oz strip steak, and the crispy potatoes with monkey gland sauce along with a bottle of wine. We split everything since their prices were not really in our budget. The Caesar salad was a bit of a disappointment since it was very skimpy for the price. It also really did not meet our expectations of what we expected a Caesar salad to be. The Romaine lettuce was limp and not even torn into smaller pieces. The salad contained as many tomatoes as it had lettuce. There were not any croutons nor was there any anchovy, The dressing tasted too lemony. The cheese was not Parmesan, but some other soft cheese. Our steak was cooked to perfection and plenty big enough for us to split. The steak has been cut into strips to make it easier to divide between us. It was served with a creamy white sauce which was rich and tasty. The potatoes were not crispy as they were described on the menu, but soft as if they had only been steamed. The monkey gland sauce was not to our liking. (The name of the sauce was not even appetizing.) We didn't think the sauce paired well with the potatoes, so we left most of them on the serving plate. We asked for bread and were brought some wonderful bread containing Kalamata olives drizzled in olive oil and served with pepper sprinkled butter. It was absolutely delicious! Our server brought us some extra bread after we told her we did not care for the potatoes. She claimed that those potatoes were fried and crispy, but she did take them off of our bill. The service at Feast at 316 was excellent from start to finish. The ambience inside of the restaurant was really nice too. The brick walls were decorated with historic photos and relics. There are even old movie seats at the entrance of the restaurant which came from the Liberty Theater in Camas. It's an expensive place to eat since the menu items are Ala carte. We ordered the least expensive red wine on their wine list and it was $60, but it was a very nice Zinfindel! Did I just have the best burger of my entire life? If not, it's a pretty close call! Having stopped in for lunch, my wife and I could have ordered off of the cheaper menu, but instead opted for the aforementioned Steak Burger and some scallops, with my wife also tucking in to the truffle gnocchi that accompanied my order. The Steak Burger is a bit of a build-it-yourself affair that ends up being so tall, it's difficult to get your mouth around. I'm not complaining. The scallops were, of course, a hit as well, even for a generally seafood-adverse person such as myself. Interior decor is rustic, full of hardwoods and wrought iron, like the inside of a log cabin, warmly lit by overhead lamps. Service was a little on the slow and ill-attentive side for a sleepy afternoon around 3pm, with few other customers, but not problematically so. I'd had my eye on Feast@316 for a while now, even having attempted to direct a couple of company lunches there (unsuccessfully, thus far), but after this visit, I'll be making a point to push the point a little harder, because this is one of the best restaurants in downtown Camas, and that's high praise by itself! read more

Wow! After eating in a bunch of Lake Oswego restaurants as well as Northwest Portland restaurants, it was a breath of fresh air to eat at this restaurant. Nestled old town Camas, you almost have to have a reason to go here. Which I did. After eating at this restaurant, I would drive here to eat here again. Amazing service, great drinks, and the food was incredible. The atmosphere of this steakhouse was great, and the service itself was good, but unfortunately the food was very disappointing for the price. The portions were surprisingly small, especially considering how expensive everything was. I ordered the filet mignon, and by the time it came out, it was already cold along with some of the sides. The steak was also tougher than expected and lacked flavor. We didn't want to send anything back because the food already took quite a while to come out, but overall the quality just did not match the prices being charged. I honestly wouldn't have minded paying that much if the food and portion sizes had actually felt worth it. There are definitely steakhouses at a much lower price point with better quality and flavor. Sadly, this ended up being a disappointing experience overall, and I don't see myself coming back. read more

This place does have a reputation of slow service, but I feel that's more of a dinner thing when slammed, and rightfully so, it's intimate, and the food is super quality. So just take a breath and enjoy yourself. It's pricey, but it's Camas, and you get what you pay for. Special ingredients, chef-driven dailys and not that "whatever we had left" soups, they are incredible! Had a pork and smoked duck soup/stew the other day, and oh gosh! I usually get the burger, and it's wonderful, all be it hard to eat, as the patty is so thick. I would recommend this place if doing it right in Camas. read more

Took the wife out for Valentine's Date last night and thought we would go to Feast. The service was great, the food however was not. when you spend $82 on a ribeye it should not be chewy and tough when it's medium rare. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time it's been like this. Spent almost $200 on dinner and drinka and sad to say we most likely will not go back. Food has gone down hill a lot in the past year. Time to find other favorites places around the area. read more

Came in for a late cocktail. Excellent, by the way. My complaint is that the bartender ignored me for maybe 20 minutes, and there were maybe 8 people in the place, none at the bar. I tried to make eye contact, with no luck. I've become accustomed to being ignored due to my age (68), but this was a bit obvious. It was a Monday at 7:45. FYI, I had been avoiding the place for years due to the lack of service, and had decided to give it another try. Good cocktail, it must be said, but just another example of old-person invisibility. I really wish I'd read these recent reviews before taking my sister, who hadn't been here before. I had raved about this place in the past and couldn't wait for her to try it... OMG it was embarrassing, the person serving us clearly didn't like the job. Dressed as if just getting out of bed and miminal personality, it was off-putting, however it was the food that we came for... huge disappointment! Others ordered Chicken Sizzle, A burger with garlic fries and a Stuffed Spaghetti Squash. We also started out with a Melted Brie, with apple and pears. Service was good, our food seemed to take a long while, but maybe we were just so hungry. The staff were very friendly and polite. I was the only one up for Dessert and it was amazing. I wanted to give 5 stars so bad because I love the bartender and servers were friendly. The chicken was taken off the bill because it tasted like nothing but mustard (muusssstaaarrdddd). The filet and veggie fondue was my go to but only one piece wasn't chewy. The drinks were good except one was missing the main orange infused ice cube and we weren't told until after served the drink without it. Made reservations for my birthday. Seated and waited for 20 mins before asked about drinks by server. Came back 10 mins later and asked what we ordered because "the machine" is acting up. Another 10 minutes for our drinks. Finally ordered. 40 minutes later for our food. Steaks were cold. Instead of lying, when asked, we said the steaks were cold. "Sorry about that 'new kitchen staff', do you want us to put them back on the grill? "No we don't want them to over cook". "Manager" asks how everything was. "Steaks were cold" "Let's see what we can do about that." Apparently nothing because she never came back and we paid full price for cold food. Tragic. Our server seated us, she was very pleasant. The restaurant is nicely decorated...very modern and tastefully done. Of course we decided to order the Cuban. We decided to split it. After a long wait, it came on a board already split. The presentation was excellent. Let me tell you that sandwich is a grease bomb. Grilled with butter and pork fat inside. It was awful! Came here one Friday evening with my boyfriend and fortunately, there were some seats at the bar for us. The place is fairly cozy with lots of seating and dimly lit. It's a good spot to have a nicer dinner with friends or family, and catch up. Wait time here was a bit long for food, but overall service was really nice. My boyfriend and I ordered the bone marrow and asparagus for appetizers and a 12 oz. steak to share. The asparagus was really good, fresh, and grilled nicely. The bone marrow was phenomenal--it was buttery, rich, and just melts into your mouth or with bread. The dish also came with great portions of meat to enjoy it with. I really hate leaving this review. There was a time several years ago when I raved about Feast to everyone I knew. A couple years ago, we had some pretty bad food from Feast and decided to take a break from going there. Tonight, we gave it another shot. Wow! It was really bad. I ordered the chicken skizell and I got a bowl of chicken breast swimming in an obnoxiously pungent sauce that tasted a lot like pure vinegar. Everything about it was awful. So many intense flavors competing against each other, which was not good. In fact, I have heartburn two hours after eating it. It's hard for me to believe a chef made this, tasted it and said "this is great!" Probably one of the most terrible things I've ever eaten. My spouse ordered a steak medium well. It came out medium rare. Personally, I'm a medium rare steak guy, and I think he's weird for wanting a steak cooked that way --but if someone asks for medium well--then cook it that way! He was paying for it. He should have had it prepared the way he wanted. It's a $60 cut of meat. A steak should be prepared how a customer wants it. The staff is and always been excellent. Our cocktails were fantastic and the restaurant is comfortable and has great ambiance. Do better Feast. I love Camas having a fine dining restaurant, but this was a massive fail. read more

Once we did get food we weren't followed up with by the server. Overall the food was good but the garlic mashed potatoes weren't flavorful. Sauce on broccolini /asparagus was great. Brie appetizer delicious just could use much more bread and not to be charged for more. The seats were uncomfortable being slightly elevated. Toilets were nice. My partner's birthday merited something special and on the north side of the river, which made Feast at 316 one of the more obvious choices. I'd been several times for business happy hours, but never dinner. That was in retrospect an oversight - but very glad to have made that discovery on a festive occasion. If you don't know Feast, it's in a quaint little space just off Main Street in Camas, and feels like it's been there since the town was founded. That's not the case, but it's the vibe. Dark-ish, bricky, lots of wood, it would be right at home as a hidden speakeasy a hundred years ago. The next thing to know - Feast leads with their whisk(e)y list. It's dauntingly large. It's delivered in the kind of binder that one typically associates with wine lists, and is best dealt with accordingly. They also have an impressive array of cocktails, which is where we started. My partner - a Manhattan fan - selected Smoke on the Water. I went with Smoke Show, a very nice smoked Old Fashioned. The last time I was in, they smoked the drinks at the table - these were delivered pre-smoked but were no less delicious. For starters, we had the Pub Roll - like a skinny Beef Wellington but with more punch. Pancetta, filet, ribeye, pork, Emmental, smoked ketchup. Man. The mind boggles. We added to that the Bone Marrow plate, which came with a bit of greens and some forest mushrooms, and bread. I don't think I've seen my partner that happy with a dish in a restaurant ever. Very much exceeded expectations. There was some significant discussion about the main meal -- as good as the starters were, where to go? We eventually decided to split a 30oz Tomahawk, rare, and to add asparagus and smashed potatoes. Now every steak eater knows that tomahawk is just ribeye with extra accessories, and I'm usually reluctant to pay for the inedible part of the show, but our server assured me that in this case, it was completely worth it. Before getting to the main meal, a word about our server. She was simple spectacular. Very on point, never had to worry about being lost in the crowd, always seemed to be nearly telepathically connected to what we needed. And at the same time, she was invisible except when we were interacting with her. She provided the perfect level of service of a place at this price point. But the steak.... Wow. It was incredibly good. The sear on the outside was perfect, slightly crunchy with out being burned. The inside was closer to red than pink which was as ordered, and the chimichurri which accompanied it was perfect balanced to the flavor of the meat. Perfectly marbled, thinly sliced table side, delivered on a sizzling platter... the show was great, and I wound up agreeing with our server that yes, this was a great value after all. We had other plans for desert, it being a birthday and all, so we did not partake but saw several other tables receiving things which looked delightful. Given how good what we did consume was, I find it hard to believe that they'd be otherwise. All in, we spent close to three hours on this meal. It was perfectly paced, absolutely delicious, and we felt very much like honored guests. Feast at 316 is not in our heavy rotation but it absolutely had a pinnacle position for "occasions" -- be they special, or "just because". Highest possible recommendation. read more

We entered on a Tuesday evening and were asked first off if we had a reservation. 8 tables were empty from where we could see, and we waited 5-7 min for the "hostess" waitress to figure out we could be seated at one of the empty tables. The menu was not very extensive from the last time we were there . A few years. There were specials on the board but it took our waitress another 10 min to verify if any of these were available. Beef Wellington was available at $100 a pop. As we were celebrating our birthday we went ahead and shared this experience. Needless to say even though it was great it was not worth $100 in a town like Camas. The three sprigs of broccolini that were served with it. Hmmm u make up u r own mind. To say the last I had ordered another drink before dinner and so did my husband alas they arrived when I asked for the bill. Sorry I had to reject those drinks, they were a little late. We came here for a celebratory dinner having just moved to Camas, and left with a deliciously earned food coma. Feast 316 is a great spot for a date night, business dinner, or small celebration. The ambience and decor is open and industrial, so it feels casual and down to earth while still having high level culinary chops. It's not very formal, we dressed up but saw others in very casual outfits. Forn a party of 2, we ordered 1 app (hush puppies and shrimp), an 18oz ribeye, the fish entree, and 2 sides (cauli bake and risotto). 2 hungry people, and we had enough leftovers for lunch the next day. Overall this place is a 9.5/10 for me. Good service, good ambience, multiple stand out dishes. It's pricy, but definitely a place we'd return to time and again to try other dishes and definitely reorder the same sides. read more

A camas favorite, my elderly parents were a little overwhelmed with the menu but the server was kind and patient with them which I immensely appreciated. Their espresso martini is to die for! I always want 100 of them when I go. My favorite time to eat there is lunch because I love their lunch menu options But anytime is a great time. My only feedback is the bathroom is clean but gives more of a bar vibe than a fine dining vibe. Not a big deal though, because really what matter is that it's a well cleaned bathroom. read more

My "go to" birthday dinner choice! Wonderful food, as always, although I was surprised the fish batter was pretty tasteless this time. The home made pickles were amazing, the truffle fries="mwah!" And the prime rib sando was surprisingly, shockingly, delicious, with or without the lovely jams. The creme brulee was a bit meh , but that's never been my fave anyhow (I traded my delicious white chocolate Croissant pudding with hubby since he liked it better).
