GROSSLY UNSANITARY, FILTHY (EVERYWHERE), DISEASE MAGNET OF AN ESTABLISHMENT! UNSANITARY, UNSAFE AND DISGUSTING!! This is serious, guys. If you care about your health (maybe your life) then overlook the bogus "nice" reviews and AVOID CAPS PIZZA at all costs. When we were sat at a dirty table (#2 on left of front door) we advised young server twice that the table was dirty (I superficially wiped with paper napkins) and that the pizza rack on table was left over from previous guests. Thursday night, empty tables everywhere yet server elected to chat in middle of restaurant w/coworker and a "regular" rather than clean. After 10-12 minutes the sticky, fingerprinted menu's were distributed yet NO WIPING the table, no removing pizza rack. That's real bad, but the WORST high-risk infraction was the owner behind the bar intently watching a hockey game, adjusting volume with remote that staff and customers alike share-put the dirty remote down and went straight over (NO HANDWASHING, CERTAINLY NO GLOVES) and began spinning pizza while two other staff stood beside him watching/learning. We've been there several previous times, long ago when a very nice relative (Nicole?) and her mother worked there, but never, ever again. In the wake of Coronavirus and serious foodborne illnesses CAPS PIZZA IS IRRESPONSIBLE and should consider closing shop. Owner, Mr Capobianco has obviously never taken Food Safety training, or if he has, he just doesn't give a damn about spreading rapid disease and medically crippling the community. Even the dated boxing wall memorabilia is caked with dirt, dust and debris-EVERYWHERE! The final blow was being presented with a CHECK THAT COVERTLY INCLUDED A 3% "NON CASH" SURCHARGE INCORPORATED INTO THE TOTAL....and guess what....WE PAID CASH!!! Dirty, unscrupulous crooks. Fantastic, fresh made pizza. And the wings are absolutely awesome. Not just your traditional Buffalo sauce, but with unique seasoning.

Family owned place, great specials pricing (especially compared to California). If you are in the area and want a taste of NY, this is a good place to visit. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here from a great distance, but if you're in Vero, definitely check it out. We just tried Cap's Philly cheesesteak and garlic Parmesan wings. Both were excellent. Crust on the sub was tasty along with the philly cheese steak ingredients. My wife had the garlic wings and they were excellent - garlicky and parmy and fried to perfection. These were Togo items..... read more

First time lunch visit today for a couple of slices and a drink. Really disappointed in this place. First off, the place was dirty and the bathrooms worse. Staff is very courteous, even with as busy as they are. Food is amazing, well cooked and the kitchen is wide open with a bar around it and clean! Ok that's four stars. Heres why they get 5: I came in a few minutes after close hoping to catch them before they shut the register down after one of the worst days of my life. They were completely shut down and cleaned up when the manager noticed me. He picked up on the fact that I had had a bad day I think, and with the grace of a saint he opened everything back up and sent me home with the most amazing antipasto Ive ever had! I thought for a minute he just hooked me up with extra goods until I looked at their menu and saw that It serves four! What a place, with atmosphere from times past that is getting rarer and rarer in these times! I went there for a catered function. Never heard of the place, let alone been there. Very skeptical. By all accounts, a typical florida pizza place with a bar. Went to the special room off to the side for us. Nothing special.until the food stated to arrive! Now that was special! We ordered our normal order from Cap's tonight, a large pizza with one half pepperoni, and the other half sausage, mushroom and onion, along with a large antipasto salad. The salad was great and the house balsamic dressing is really really good. The pizza, was another story. This is the second time in the last month that they didn't make what we ordered. The girl behind the counter even repeated the order when I arrived and based on what she said, it was correct. There was pepperoni on half, sausage, mushrooms and onions on the whole pizza. The first time this happened, they caught it and asked if I still wanted the pizza or wanted a new one. My wife and daughter don't eat mushrooms or onions so I asked them to make a new one. This time I was in a hurry and didn't check it to see if it was right, I got home only to find out it wasn't what we ordered. Cap's used to be a really great place, but since Cap isn't there much anymore, it's just not that great. I'd highly recommend going somewhere else. When it costs $38 for a pizza and a salad, I would hope that it would at least be what we ordered. read more

first time there i thought it was fantastic...have been back 5 times since, and have found the staff to be rude, condescending, and downright ignorant. called in one night got put on hold immediately, sat on hold for 20 min and finally set the phone down and drove there, when my wife and i got there, we had to tell the counter girl to hang up the phone because it was still connected and on hold with our home phone. no apology,just a very offhanded oops. went in with one of our children, was told to sit "wherever" our son chose the table in the corner... when we got to our seats the people at the ajoining table tell us its reserved for the rest of their party (you would think the waitress would know what was going on) get to our new seats, order our food (my wife wanted buffalo chicken fingers) asked the waitress specifically if they had them becasue we didnt see them on the menu (waitress response..."sure" ) what was delivered was a grilled chicken breat covered in some form of teriyaki sauce. we ordered garlic knots as an appetizer which we didnt get until the end of the meal after having to ask for them twice. when we did get them NO dipping sauce....when my wife was clearly unsatisfied wuth her chicken we decided to just take it home and not make a major issue of it, well between the waitress and owner (mother and daughter) a big deal was made...this should have been my clue to never set foot in the door again, but being from new york and than boston, a decent pizza is hard to find in FL. went in again ordered a large cheese at the counter mid day not very busy, owner behind the counter i ask for it " not burnt, but cooked more than normal (thos because when i ordered well done in the past i got burnt pizza)pizza comes out pizza cook says here "here you go large cheese lightly cooked" when i said i wanted it cooked more this woman had the audacity to look at me like i had just spit in her eye and tells me "thats not what you said and stormed off to talk to on of the 2 other customers in the building. last night was the end of it, my wife and kids out school shopping stopped and grabbed 3 pies on the way home, ordered them well done, and they were soooo damn undercooked it was rediculous.... these people have the restauran adorned like a NYC pizza shop and claim to be new yorkers... back home they would be out of business, and probably assaulted daily for the surly demeanor in which they handle customers... never again will they get a nickel from me or anyone i know just a reminder folks if you are reading this, the customer may not ALWAYS be right, but they are the source of your income. time to re-evaluate your attitudes and approach to your customers... Horrible service with the exception of one server who actually took the time to look at me and asked what I was waiting on. The woman who originally took my to go order was extremely rude. The pizza was gross. It fell apart when i picked it up and was soaked in grease. I was so mad I really wanted to go back but I knew nothing would come of it. I like pizza Mia or vittorios way better.
