Ordered the baked oysters 15 Parm and 15 Benny style. The service was prompt and the seating is on self warrant. The ambiance is nice and refreshing with 80's hits musing the ear softly within the background

I don't know why I missed this place which is like 5 min from medical center, and has been here for a long time. Food was good and service was very nice . Glad that I tried it and definitely recommended. Price range is very reasonable

Good deal on the gulf oysters. They were all tasty, but a bit on the small side. I ordered a half dozen and upon seeing them- and eating them all so quickly- I ordered another half dozen. $10 for 6, $15 for 12. Good deal! I ordered the shrimp and scallop kabobs. There were green pepper and onions and some sort of red powder. Upon tasting the first scallop, I found the flavor to be funky. I eventually determined it was the red powder. Possibly Old Bay? IDK. Anyway, I scraped the powder off the remaining shrimp and scallops and found them to be much more to my liking. I could taste them, and not the powder. To each his own. Next time I'll ask for that to be left off. Under the kabobs was some delicious rice. Cole slaw was good but small. Service was very good and the place was clean. I'd come back!

Everything is GREAT! From the building boat facade, seating, drinks, seafood, ambience (tv's), staff, etc. You name it fried seafood hands down with broiled options now. It's a word of mouth type place were food will jot disappoint. Start of with an appetizer and live in to the main dish. Drunk are always cold and probably the best oysters in town. The place has been here since the 70's when the" Henimens" did this correctly. (May run into some pro players every once in a while.) Friday night might seem crazy but it's controlled kaos at uts best, people standing up passing around plates and enjoying each other company. Salud!

It's a small restaurant but they do have good food and cold drinks. We opted to sit in the outdoor seating area just because it felt a little claustrophobic inside. Servers were friendly and attentive.

Oh, so good Garlic bread, fried tilapia, fried jumbo shrimps, and french fries. Captain Benny's, has always been known for good, fresh seafood drinks, with a small, cozy environment, and the old fashion service, service with a smile.

I've lived in Houston now for many years and finally got the chance to visit to try their poboy, ironically for 713 Day (H-town represent!) A poboy is near and dear to me, the poor man's sandwich that continues to comfort and satisfy, time and time again. Shrimp is my favorite and this one gave me some major NOLA nostalgia. The bread was crispy on the outside, with a soft inside, it was stuffed with fried shrimp, and came fully dressed (IYKYK, don't skip on the pickles.) I will say that their fries were not my favorite, more of a shoestring style, while I prefer a thicker fry but came with a generous portion. During 713 Day they had a special for this sandwich for $7.13. While I only came for the sandwich, I did see that they have a number of other specials such as $5 frozen cocktails for the whole month of July, and happy hour Monday - Friday 3-6pm. Finally, it's worth mentioning that the service was top notch. I actually stopped by by myself and the server stopped by several times to check on me and even brought me some complementary chips and dip while I waited for my meal. Whether you're dining alone or with a large group, BB's seems like they are there to take care of you and show you what southern hospitality is all about.

Time to Appetizers: 20 Minutes Time to Crawfish: 25 Minutes It's a solid branch from the main location in Bellaire, but they're missing some things. For example, the Bellaire location has the new Viet-Cajun flavor of sauce that hasn't debuted here yet (though you can DIY a mix). (Review is for July 2026 if they've updated since then) We got here at 6:05PM and got seated with no issues. Ordered the following: Combo #1 with extra corn and potatoes (3.5/5): Crawfish isn't in season, so don't be surprised at my low rating. It's still great and flavorful all around. Garlic Noodles with Shrimp (4/5): Still incredibly rich and buttery and garlicy and great for a palate cleanser. I'd skip the shrimp; you get eight pieces for $10 extra and that's not really worth it. Crawfish Beignets (4.5/5): Still a fantastic appetizer. Comes out hot, crispy, buttery, and is a really indulgence. 1 lb. Little Neck Clams (4.5/5): I liked these more than the crawfish tbh. It really does depend on what's in season. Very easy to eat, very flavorful. Service was generally good but our server seemed slammed; it took a long time to get water refills and to place extra orders (we got a second order of beignets to-go). Market price for crawfish is high and they're not in season, so don't be afraid to ask. The Combo #1 in July 2026 was $22. Overall, I'll probably be back during crawfish season especially because it's more convenient for me than the Bellaire location, but the Bellaire location has it beat for general atmosphere after the remodeling and much better options for mixes there.

Inside it's a nice restaurant with an upscale feel to it. I ordered a house salad for $9 to start and the Pasta Rosa entree for another $28. The salad arrived first with a generous amount of romaine lettuce with diced tomatoes, cucumber, shredded carrots and chopped eggs on top. With my chosen ranch dressing it was a good tasting salad. The Pasta Rosa dish had sliced Parmesan strips on top of penne with shrimp, crawfish and sausage for the protein with mushrooms and a tomato cream sauce. This meal initially tricked me. My first impression was that while there was plenty of protein the taste of the tomato cream sauce was lacking some flavor. I expected more. However as I kept eating and getting beyond the top layer of the food the flavor increased significantly. I think that the proteins caused the sauce in the lower half of the dish to create more punch. This dish got better and better and I changed my mind.
