This was our first time dining here. I ordered the shrimp side salad and was blown away--it was huge and absolutely delicious. The leafy greens were topped with beets, carrots, feta, and perfectly seasoned shrimp that were downright addictive. My sister had the Munchery Plate, loaded with crispy eggs sautéed with rosemary, thick-cut bacon, buttery biscuits, and hearty house potatoes--comfort food done right. My friend went for the chicken pesto pasta, and it was rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Every dish we tried was fresh, high-quality, and full of flavor. We were traveling to Willets specifically to ride the Easter Skunk Train. Got settled in our Airbnb and Headed out to find some dinner. We were looking for a place that would be kid friendly and have cocktails for us! The Munchery met this goal with their outdoor covered patio and casual vibe. Since it was Friday night it was understandably busy. Since we had a little one we were a bit concerned about the wait. Here's where things went wrong. There was one waitress, one bartender and a busboy and they were doing their best. Definitely understaffed. I ordered a lemon drop and my daughter got a margarita. We decided to order our food and beverages at the same time because of the kiddo. Then we waited and waited. Drinks took about 20 minutes. All in all not the relaxing dinner we were hoping for. When the food did come it was very good. The staff was pleasant and apologetic but the owners need to staff up for Friday night. This would be a 3.5 star review if Yelp would let me do that. We were just visiting and found this place. It's a modern gem among a lot of greasy spoon type places to eat. We went a few times, for breakfast and dinner. The staff are great. Excellent quality food and coffee with friendly and attentive service. We had the crepes with ham and the blueberry French toast. Both were prepared to perfection and tasted great. We also had the coffee, which was pretty good for restaurant coffee, dark and strong, without being bitter. Service was friendly and attentive. Our coffee was refilled promptly and the check was presented quickly upon completion of the meal. This will be my goto in Willits. read more

I guess the best time to eat here is weekend brunch. The everyday menu was sparse. We had wedge salad with dabs of bacon jam which was good, and flat bread which was almost too tough to eat. We wanted the sliders, but they were already out of small buns at 4:00 in the afternoon (they opened at 3:00.) The onion rings were good and the hamburger with bacon jam was fine. The temperature outside was 66° and it was colder inside the restaurant! And lastly, even with only a few customers at the bar and the two of us there was a noisy echo from the bar conversation. Delicious! Had breakfast before heading to San Fran. OMG. Had the French toast which was cooked to perfection. Nothing soggy about this. I got 2 thick slices cut in half with fresh blueberry compote and sliced strawberries dusted with powdered sugar. Yum Yum. Also had the Munchery which is your regular style breakfast. Had the eggs scrambled which were a bright yellow so I thought they probably were free range. The bacon was cooked crisp. The roasted potatoes were sooooo tasty. They seasoned these babies and they were freshly cut and cooked to perfection. Yum yum. This place has been opened less than a month and they know their stuff. The cocktails here are some of the best over ever had! They change them seasonally which I love. The food is amazing too! The chicken Caesar salad was delicious and their eggs Benedict is the best I've ever had. The service is incredible and I love that it's a family owned business. The same family own the gas station next door which is cool and they sell to go stuff there. My only complaint is that it's hard to see from the road there weren't any signs and we almost missed the turn into the parking lot. read more

The food was fantastic! I had the vegetarian entree (which they made dairy free for me), and my husband had a burger. We were both thrilled with our meals. It made for a great stop on our drive home from Ferndale. They were fully booked but they squeezed us in as we said we'd be as quick as possible. It's got a nice modern vibe with good decor, but it does feel a little cold/empty inside. I hope we make it back on another trip north. read more

Hubby had the hash and I had Special which was hush puppies with shrimp and crab. Our plates were cleared - delicious! Decaf coffee was fresh with free refills. Parking area plenty big enough for our travel trailer - parked it next to a big rig. Stop in Willits was efficient - would stop here again. read more

Fantastic service and great spot for dinner. Reservations are highly recommended, they get busy fast. All the food we got was phenomenal and generously portioned. We got the Mac n Cheese for an appetizer- absolutely delicious. Even the ranch we had as a side was yummy (we're picky with ranch). My husband got the burger and I got the wedge salad because I have aversions to meat due to pregnancy. But let me tell you. I braved a bite of the burger and it was amazing. Would 100% return. I cannot eat anything that has gluten as an ingredient or has been cross contaminated by gluten. Our waitress, Kayla, listened carefully and helped me select a delicious brunch! I am so happy that there is a new place in Willits to eat! My husband and I ate there for dinner on a Saturday night (I recommend making reservations) The food was delicious! We shared the coconut shrimp and Mac & cheese for starters. The entrees were just as good. Wagu sliders were full of flavor, and the cesar salad was large and delicious. Unfortunately it took an hour to get our food. The few people who were working were hustling like crazy to keep up. It is also so noisy in there that you practically have to yell to talk to the person sitting next to you. There is a cute outside eating area in the back with heaters. There is a good selection of drinks also. I recommend the Muncharita I really want this place to succeed!!! Please hire more staff and do something about the acoustics. You are capable of 5 stars. This was my last stop on the way back from a 3 day redwoods trip. The restaurant is easy to find with plenty of parking. I ordered the ham and cheese crepes along with some coffee (don't expect anything fancy as they didn't have espresso machines). The meal was simple and filling. Love this place and sooo happy to finally have a restaurant with awesome food and a full bar in Willits! I've been here for brunch/ happy hour/ and dinner now and it's always been fantastic! Amanda the bartender was so great the other night when my boyfriend and I came in for dinner. Made us some delicious cocktails. I ordered the special that night, which happened to be a chicken and mushroom crepe and it was outta this world!! After arriving in Calistoga on a Friday evening, my wife and I thought that it would be appropriate to have dinner and drinks at Robert's. Upon walking through the entrance of the restaurant, we observed a nice backyard-style layout with televisions tuned to the NBA playoffs, patrons enjoying glasses of wine, and a DJ playing smooth yacht rock tunes. A friendly employee informed us that it was open seating, so we sat ourselves along the padded seating in close proximity to the DJ. Shortly afterwards, a server came by to take our orders. My wife ordered the short rib, garlic fries, and the Sip It Slowly cocktail; I ordered the Jamaican Jerk Chicken, Dumplings (suggested by the server), and the Jerk Old Fashioned. While we awaited our orders, the server brought us a delicious miniature size soup - which was absolutely delicious and definitely a tease! Shortly after, our drinks arrived. I found my drink to be delicious, strong, and was intrigued by the flavor that the little piece of submerged jerky provided. However, I will admit that I was a bit jealous when I snuck a couple sips of my wife's delicious cocktail. Up until the arrival of our meals, I was impressed. My wife found the short ribs to be just ok; additionally, her fries were lukewarm upon arrival and dry (as if they were overcooked). I have had Jamaican jerk chicken in Jamaica, so my expectations were very high. Unfortunately, the chicken was not flavorful and did not have the "kick (spice)" that I anticipated. Surprisingly, the highlight here was the dumplings (delicious!) and the Hint of Passion cocktail that I ordered (if I had a signature drink- this would be it!). I really should have listened to my intuition when we initially observed that a majority of the other patrons were just indulging in drinks, no food. When our server brought us the bill totaling roughly $160, I couldn't help but feel like the food was not in alignment with the price point. I wanted so badly to like this establishment, but honestly could not see myself returning for anything other than one of their cocktails.

Never Made It Inside - Poor Wait Time Management…read more We were really looking forward to trying this place for the first time, but unfortunately never got to eat here. We arrived at 6pm on a Sunday and were told the wait would be 45 minutes to 1 hour. We understood it was busy and put our name down. After waiting 1 hour and 15 minutes, we checked back in, only to be told they had no idea when we'd be seated. We gave it another 10 minutes, but still no timeline or update. I completely understand that restaurants get slammed and wait times can be unpredictable. What was frustrating wasn't the wait itself - it was the lack of honest communication. If it was going to be a 1.5-2 hour wait, just tell us upfront so we can make an informed decision about our evening. Honestly, the host seemed to have forgotten about us as she seemed surprised and scrolled way down the list to find our name even though we were "top of the list". After waiting over 1.5 hours with no end in sight and getting increasingly hungry, we had to leave and grab food elsewhere. With three hosts working, I would have expected better expectation management than what we experienced tonight. I hope this was just an off night, but we left disappointed and hungry.
