You can always count on hot fresh food. We come here nearly once a week. The dinning room is always clean and the sea side ambiance is great! I had the 3 piece dinner with the bread stick and the broccoli and the fries. Everything was piping hot, just the way I like it. My daughter had called to place an order for pick up and the employee had trouble understanding her. She was trying to explain tha she has ALS as the woman on the phone told another employee that "I can't understand this person she must be drunk and here you try to take her order." At this time my daughter started crying and I got the phone. I tried to explain to him that she has ALS and continued to place the order. After I hung up my daughter (who is 53) told her husband and I what was said. When her husband went to pick up their order he also tried to talk to the manager about it. His reply was I'm not sure which employee was the one that took the order and acted like It wasn't a big deal. I understand that we currently live in a society that no one seems to show kindness. But this is a business and they should know how to be professional and not make customers upset over something they can't control. read more

My family and I went here to get the amazing sweet tea that they sell, We pay for the tea in the drive thru and the truck makes a crazy sound and we pull over in the parking lot. One of the young employees comes over and asks what's up and I explain to him that the coolant is low and the truck is overheating, he goes inside for a minute and comes out with his boss named James LaFontaine where he went above and beyond to check the truck himself and gave us advice and filled our truck with water so we can go on our way. read more

On 6-14-18 I went to Captain D's. The food has always been good and nice employees until today. I'm disabled so I sat on the bench until it was my turn to order. There was a man there before me and I assumed he was next. As I waited on him, the lady taking orders waited on a couple that was behind me. I got up and said I was next to order. The employee behind the counter said I was rude and said I should have been waiting at the counter. I had to explain why I was handicapped which you should never have to do, it's no one's business. What did she think I was sitting on the bench for? She did this in front of another long time employee who just stood there and grinned. Even after I tried to explain my handicap, she wouldn't back down. She still insisted I was rude. Well, someone was very rude, but it wasn't me. I guess I was supposed to wait on everyone else in line. She should have asked if I had been waited on yet. People can be so stupid! Next time I will ride in on my mobility scooter, if there is a next time. The reason I walked in is because there is no handicap access and even if I managed to get inside with my little 3 wheel scooter, there isn't enough room to get around. Any employee that talks to customers that way should be fired and someone owes me an apology. NOT HANDICAP FRIENDLY AT ALL. read more

It's a five stars 5/4 on serve food it will be a 5/5 It's not that good for kids but I will just go to a different location

First let me say that we go here a lot. We live an hour from our grandchildren so almost every Sunday we get food and take it for family dinner. Captain D's is a favorite so at least once a month we visit, but its usually every other week. We usually have a large order a family meal and a lot of extras. Almost every time we go through the manager is completely rude. Several times the orders havent been correct and we call. My grandson is autistic so he gets upset when he doesnt get his order correct. My wife has had 3 strokes so it takes her a minute and the lady has NO patience. My wife called today to let them know that the lobster rolls we ordered were literally thrown into a box as usually they are nicely wrapped and just letting them know we did not get the cheeseticks. She (the Manager Karen) said very rudely she was VERY BUSY and needed to take care of the person in the drive thru so she needed to wait. She came back on the phone and cut her off several times (she was on speaker) and then said "There is absolutely nothing I can do about that" and hung up. This lady is always rude and seems like she is just miserable. If it weren't for the fact the grandkids like this place we would go elsewhere. Her customer service skills are really lacking, and it is a huge turn off to paying customers. We are patient people but she is not and really talks down to people. It's sad because it usually ruins our Sundays. read more

The best Captain D's I have ever eaten at and I have ate at several in various states. The food is always fresh any time of the day I have gone and the service is always friendly. I have yet to have a single complaint or disappointment of any kind. Anytime I am down this way I stop to have a wonderful dining experience. In fact I will happily drive the 37 miles from home anytime I have a hankering for Captain D's. read more

The place has really gone downhill. Prices have gone up and portion sizes have gone down. Save your money & buy some Mrs. Pauls' fish sticks. That's about the size of their fish "filets" anymore. Very disappointed. Won't be going there anymore. read more

Fish sticks. The fish is poor quality, and its hit or miss. Captin d's use to be excellent fish; with great consistency. However, the reviewer before is correct. To get great quality fish: you would have to stand on top of the Empire State Building, hop on one leg, hold a metal pole and wait for lightening to strike. The frozen fish is not good quality. If you order a four piece fish dinner; three will have that nasty black strip up the back. They are cut so thin; it's, basically, a fish stick. ( enter, the death of another American staple.).
