I Doordashed Siam Hibachi as I was craving some hibachi. I liked that their menu offers other items like some thai and chinese food. I ordered the thai spring rolls, thai wonton soup, steak hibachi, and fried bananas. Sadly this was below my expectations and I ended up throwing away half the food. Let's start with the positives. The hibachi was okay. It didn't have a whole lot of flavor but the portion size was large enough for leftovers and the steak was tender. The thai spring rolls were alright but I have had better. Again, they weren't very flavorful. This may be that the wonton soup was a thai version, but the flavor was awful. I had a spponful of the broth and had to throw it out. It was so disgusting. The fried bananas were brown and really squishy. They weren't appetizing after the disappointment from the rest of the meal. Later that evening my stomach also started hurting. read more

So Mark and I tried a new to us restaurant this afternoon... It's primarily a Thai / Hibachi carry out, with 5 tables. You order and pay at the kiosk and wait for them to bring it out to you. Our food took about 8 to 10 minutes. It looks clean inside, is brightly lit and the staff are very friendly and polite. I ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai which was quite delicious, one of the better versions in town. I counted 8 large shrimp covered by both thin and medium wide noodles which was odd and made it a little heavier but it worked for me on a certain level. The flavors were spot on Thai with that delicious mix of sweet, sour and salty. My only suggestion would be to get a little more scrambled egg and bean sprouts to lighten the heaviness of the rice noodles. My main sticking point is that they apparently don't offer lunch portions. The portions are dinner sized @ $17.99 but it's just far too much food for me and I'm not a fan of leftovers. Add a mini Pepsi @ $2.50 and tax and I had a nearly $21 lunch at a strip mall carryout? Ouch! I'm torn on this one, and had hoped for better. Maybe that's it, high expectations. But I was not quite in love with this place. I met Mike G. here for lunch. Easy to find, plenty of parking. I'd driven past before and been intrigued. It's small, and cute, inside and out. Friendly staff. Nice selection of drinks, interesting menu. The food was good. Not great, but good. I got pad see yew, somewhat rare even on Thai menus, and one of my favorites. Big portion, decent flavor. But not as good as other local versions of pad see yew. I chose spice level 3, and it was appropriate- spicy but not crazy. Order at the counter or on the kiosk. Basically Thai classics and hibachi, as you might expect from the name. Prices, though... Yikes. Sticker shock is the norm lately, but these were higher even than I would expect. And the base price does not include protein. Well, it seems to include chicken, and any other option is extra. Not uncommon, but the base prices elsewhere are usually lower. Portions are pretty big, though. I had enough for two meals. So figure that in. Drinks were also expensive- $3 for a 16-oz pop bottle (and only slightly cool, not cold.) $2.50 for a "mini." Ridiculous. I had intended to get crab Rangoon, but was scared off by the entree's price. Funky little spot! I wouldn't have spotted this place if it wasn't for me looking specifically in this area for a place to eat. Service was great, friendly and quick! Food was good, loved the vegetables that were cooked just right! and lots of different drink options (non-alcoholic options). I LOVED the pokemon everywhere. There were different pokemon stickers on the napkin holders and pokemon painted on the windows and things like that. They even had pokemon sparkling waters. Prices were fair, the ambiance was alright. It was pretty humble place. The only things I would have preferred differently was some reusable silverware as the plastic cutlery wasn't very sturdy for the hefty portions of food we had and some air conditioning... or at least some fans in the lobby. I ordered at the kiosk and was told my food would be ready in about 10 minutes. I sat at a table while I waited. I ordered the shrimp hibachi, with all veggies and fried rice. My order was ready rather quickly and still piping hot when I made it to my hotel. Everything was flavorful and the texture of the veggies was still crisp. We found ourselves in Grove City and hungry. We found Siam Hibachi on Yelp and liked the reviews so we tried it. The portions were huge! We both have full bellies and I couldn't finish my meal. This is a self service restaurant. You can order at a kiosk or at the counter, have a seat at one of their 5 booths. Food is brought to you. We ordered at the window. A very nice man asked me if I wanted to try something new or something traditional. I was up for the adventure and ended up with a basic stir fry topped with a curry peanut sauce I kept it mild ordering a 3 on a scale of 10. Hubs ordered shrimp stir fry with steamed rice. He ordered it with soy sauce as the seasoning and teriyaki on the side as a dipping sauce. He RECEIVED- plain stir fry without the soy seasoning and a side cup of soy sauce, no teriyaki anywhere. It was fine. I received an empty plate and a fork. There was another couple that ordered at the kiosk, their order was wrong and sent back. Eventually, someone checked on us and after looking at our receipt, agreeded that we ordered and paid for two entrees. My meal was delivered 5 minutes later. There was a problem with the computer's grill ticket. I have a sensitivity to broccoli and was told "no broccoli" was on the grill ticket. My meal was loaded with broccoli. I picked it out and placed it on my extra plate. There was way to much peanut sauce on my stir fry. Half would of been enough. Instead I put half of it on the extra plate. The veggies were freshly stir fried on both of our entrees. And my husband's shrimp were large and plentiful. 3 was the perfect heat for my meal. It made my nose run but was not too hot to eat. The restaurant is located in a strip mall next to City BBQ. The restaurant felt cluttered with candy for sale, the kiosk, food photos, menus and two drink coolers. There was no visible dirt and the man that took our order swept the carpet while we were there. Maybe it was the clutter but the space felt dirty. I did not visit the restroom. I saw it behind a curtain that separates the dining room from the kitchen. In summary- we liked the staff and the food was freshly stir fried. I have been coming in here for years way back when it was used to be owned by two Asian couples who decided to retire and sold their restaurant. I come here only because of their PHO soup with a varying other combination of different appetizers every now and then but my visit is always about their PHO SOUP. However, today will be my last day coming here. Their broth tastes bland and barely has any flavor the way a normal pho soup should taste in any ASIAN RESTAURANT Particularly Thai or Vietnamese restaurant. The fresh veggies served with it also diminished. The inflation is bad I get it. But should it be the price gets affected and not the quality? Today I feel like eating a bowl of hot water with some noodles in it. The portion size could be reviewed on their end. Typically hibachi spots charge about $2 for egg sauce but theirs is double at $3.95. What a pleasant surprise this dinner was. I thought it was a full on Hibachi, and though it wasn't a sit down make it in front of you service, the experience was great! Loved the Chicken Shrimp Hibachi meal I got. Tasty flavor, fresh veggie and the shrimp was delicious. The staff was helpful and kind and I got the feeling they really take pride in their restaurant and want you to enjoy it. That was felt when I ate it too. Very reasonable prices too! Siam Hibachi might be the busiest Asian restaurant in Grove City! On a Tuesday night every table in the small dine in area was filled and plenty of take out orders were heading out the door. I would give service 5 stars for sure, but they need and deserve to have a bigger sit down restaurant space. I came for the pho and wasn't disappointed even though this meal isn't a highlight on their large menu. The broth was flavorful and delicious with plenty of garlic and nutmeg flavoring. The steak was more like pot roast which isn't my favorite for pho, but it was still good! There were also meatballs included in the beef pho. I don't think this will be my go to pho restaurant in Columbus, but I'll be back to try more of the menu! read more

We picked this place after reading all the reviews and y'all were right, this place is good!!! I had the Massaman curry with tofu and my husband had the chicken pad Thai. They Massaman was soooooo creamy. I loved it. Also, a very nice size of rice is served along with the curry. I got a 1 and my husband got a 5 spice level. Like others have said, the scale runs hot. I went with the Chicken Hibachi with all the standard veggies (called "vitamins") blended with the teriyaki sauce; yum yum sauce on the side. The dish was excellent! Awesome flavor with their homemade teriyaki sauce. All the veggies were such a pleasant surprise to my tastebuds. And there was a lot of fresh, tasty chicken chunks. Second time eating here bc I wanted to give it another chance. The food is still very bland and the yum yum sauce is as thin as water. I don't typically leave reviews, but thought I should leave this for the owner so that they could possibly correct the situation. I had asked the young girl on three different times during my order if I could get an extra side of Yum Yum and each time she said yes but my order total did not increase so I then asked her as I was pointing to the Yum Yum sauces behind her in the refrigerator, "are those the Yum Yum sauce "and she replied yes. I then said for a fourth time OK yes that would be great I would like two of those. So when the (older) woman was done making my food and she brought it to me and put it in the bag, I asked if the yum yum was in there and she told me that she had forgotten it so she went and grabbed a Yum Yum sauce. So my expectations weren't exactly hi going into it as I thought it would be more like Genji go. This place blew them out of the water! I had the steak hibachi with fried rice and vegetables, egg yolk sauce on the side. I really like the fact that you could order the temperature of your steak. All the vegetables still had a little bit of bike to them they definitely were not over cooked, with was great! I ordered the yolk sauce on the side as I wasn't sure what to expect. I order a gig sauce at House of Japan and it's always good and this was just as good maybe even better. What I would say about this place, is if you were looking for hibachi to go it's definitely a way better choice than Genji go.
