Steak Hibachi ( Build you own )

The food is delicious and the service was pleasant and quick. Prices are reasonable. the ambiance is kind of a step above a hole in the wall I suppose but don't let that stop you from trying it.

The food was so good here!! In a strip mall and you order at the kiosk so wasn't sure but they had great reviews. Asked for extra spicy and boy was it! The meat was tender. The veggies fresh. Lots of food.

Funky little spot! I wouldn't have spotted this place if it wasn't for me looking specifically in this area for a place to eat. Service was great, friendly and quick! Food was good, loved the vegetables that were cooked just right! and lots of different drink options (non-alcoholic options). I LOVED the pokemon everywhere. There were different pokemon stickers on the napkin holders and pokemon painted on the windows and things like that. They even had pokemon sparkling waters. Prices were fair, the ambiance was alright. It was pretty humble place. The only things I would have preferred differently was some reusable silverware as the plastic cutlery wasn't very sturdy for the hefty portions of food we had and some air conditioning... or at least some fans in the lobby. It was sooooo hot on this day and it was pretty uncomfortable in the lobby. While I was eating it made sense to me why several people that had come in were ordering takeout. :P

I had a taste for hibachi but didn't want to sit at a grill and endure the long process. I saw reviews for Siam and decided to give them a try. I ordered at the kiosk and was told my food would be ready in about 10 minutes. I sat at a table while I waited. I ordered the shrimp hibachi, with all veggies and fried rice. My order was ready rather quickly and still piping hot when I made it to my hotel. Everything was flavorful and the texture of the veggies was still crisp. I got ginger sauce on the side which added an extra layer of flavor. I am in the area a lot for work and will be adding Siam Hibachi to my short list of places I visit.

    Shrimp stir fry

We found ourselves in Grove City and hungry. We found Siam Hibachi on Yelp and liked the reviews so we tried it. The portions were huge! We both have full bellies and I couldn't finish my meal. This is a self service restaurant. You can order at a kiosk or at the counter, have a seat at one of their 5 booths. Food is brought to you. We ordered at the window. A very nice man asked me if I wanted to try something new or something traditional. I was up for the adventure and ended up with a basic stir fry topped with a curry peanut sauce I kept it mild ordering a 3 on a scale of 10. Hubs ordered shrimp stir fry with steamed rice. He ordered it with soy sauce as the seasoning and teriyaki on the side as a dipping sauce. He RECEIVED- plain stir fry without the soy seasoning and a side cup of soy sauce, no teriyaki anywhere. It was fine. I received an empty plate and a fork. There was another couple that ordered at the kiosk, their order was wrong and sent back. Eventually, someone checked on us and after looking at our receipt, agreeded that we ordered and paid for two entrees. My meal was delivered 5 minutes later. There was a problem with the computer's grill ticket. I have a sensitivity to broccoli and was told "no broccoli" was on the grill ticket. My meal was loaded with broccoli. I picked it out and placed it on my extra plate. There was way to much peanut sauce on my stir fry. Half would of been enough. Instead I put half of it on the extra plate. The veggies were freshly stir fried on both of our entrees. And my husband's shrimp were large and plentiful. 3 was the perfect heat for my meal. It made my nose run but was not too hot to eat. The restaurant is located in a strip mall next to City BBQ. The restaurant felt cluttered with candy for sale, the kiosk, food photos, menus and two drink coolers. There was no visible dirt and the man that took our order swept the carpet while we were there. Maybe it was the clutter but the space felt dirty. I did not visit the restroom. I saw it behind a curtain that separates the dining room from the kitchen. In summary- we liked the staff and the food was freshly stir fried. The kitchen had errors on every entree while we were there. They fixed it but....and the clutter/questionable cleanliness.

    Pad-Thai Chicken and Shrimp Noodle

The Pad Thai was amazing and very similar to other dishes I had in Thailand. A word of caution- some dishes do contain MSG. Thankfully the lady at the counter was able to tell me which things to avoid. I will definitely be back!

Super friendly staff. Even the cook took time to greet me and made sure I had what I needed for my to go order. The are a little pricey for the portion but the food is FLAVORED. The egg yolk sauce was PERFECT. The face a variety of drink options that of course include bubble teas. Chicken fried rice with egg yolk sauce was $17. The portion size could be reviewed on their end. Typically hibachi spots charge about $2 for egg sauce but theirs is double at $3.95. I'd definitely come back but for $17/portion size, I may as well go to get the experience too for a little more money.

Siam Hibachi might be the busiest Asian restaurant in Grove City! On a Tuesday night every table in the small dine in area was filled and plenty of take out orders were heading out the door. I would give service 5 stars for sure, but they need and deserve to have a bigger sit down restaurant space. I came for the pho and wasn't disappointed even though this meal isn't a highlight on their large menu. The broth was flavorful and delicious with plenty of garlic and nutmeg flavoring. The steak was more like pot roast which isn't my favorite for pho, but it was still good! There were also meatballs included in the beef pho. I don't think this will be my go to pho restaurant in Columbus, but I'll be back to try more of the menu!

Plus, I figured hibachi can take awhile, and I usually don't have a long time for lunch. Today I had a little more time, and I made a point to head over. It is a bit out of the commercial sprawl at the corner. Look for the food truck, that's the first thing I saw, and it helped me find where to turn in. I wasn't sure if there would be dine in, but there is, plenty of seating inside and out. Inside there are seats at the counter, plus booths, plus I think a couple tables. Menu is pretty basic: hibachi and a few sides. I got steak and chicken, with fried rice, and you pick two vegetables so I picked cabbage and bean sprouts. You get a Yum Yum sauce, and you can add others, but I didn't need them. And the sauce container they gave me was plenty big. The steak was tender and perfectly cooked, the chicken was tender and flavorful, cooked in a nice sauce. The fried rice was great. The vegetables were perfectly cooked. And it all came out in about five minutes. They had a steady stream of carry out customers, but they still got mine on the grill, apparently as soon as I ordered it. Fast and good, and competitively priced for hibachi. A big portion, but not a huge, two days' worth of leftovers portion. But I was stuffed and couldn't finish it all. When I saw the drink cooler with just water and a few juices, I figured I'd have to go with those, but they do have fountain drinks. And they actually have a pretty good variety, cola, diet cola, cream soda, blueberry, cherry I think, and a few others. Anyway, several pleasant surprises, the food lived up to its reputation, I was in and out fast, and for not a whole lot of money in this day and age. I will be back.

The waitress taking the orders for us asked the kitchen about the gluten free questions my mom and I had. I'm more there for the show as much as I am the food so we had it done on the table in front of us. I'm not celiac so I'm okay with some cross contamination. Our chef came out and recited our orders and went over the allergy changes and the gluten free request. He covered all of them great. Everything was separated from each other so the sauces didn't cross. He was as enthusiastic and friendly as you want your Hibachi chef to be. The portions were PLENTIFUL. You will not leave wanting more at the table. I know I didn't! I had plenty of leftovers to bring back to the house. Such a fun experience we all had at Ichiban. I was in the neighborhood today and decided to pick one up for late lunch/early dinner. Overall, it was okay. Expensive for the relatively small amount of food in my opinion, especially the beef rendang, but I realize beef is costly for restaurants lately. The rendang was tender, but not as flavorful as I was expecting (more salt might have helped). The coconut kale was a bit strange - I'm going to say that's mostly because I'm not a fan of kale, period. The vermicelli side was a nice addition, and the rice was great. I liked the mustofa potatoes, although they weren't "crispy" as described. The reheating instructions said to take out the little cup of potatoes first, but when cold they would have come out in a single clump, so I popped them in the microwave by themselves afterward for 15 seconds and that did the trick. Other issues: "consume by" date was yesterday. I don't worry too much about that kind of thing, but if you do, you might want to check your order before you leave the premises. Also, the container was too big to rotate in my small microwave. It worked out okay anyway. I tasted the sambal I got - nice heat, but again, not as much flavor as I was looking for. I'm sure I'll use it up elsewhere. Got a couple other things for lunch tomorrow, I'll update after I've tried them (pork bun, and cucumber salad). Bottom line: probably not your best choice for Indonesian food, if you're already familiar with it. Fortunately there's a place that's supposed to be opening later this year in Clintonville. Update: bumped up my rating based on the strength of the pork bun and cucumber salad. The bun: tender and fluffy like it was supposed to be. The filling - pork belly falling apart, perfect, cucumber on top, and a few shreds of pickled veg that I would have been happy to get a bit more of. Don't know what the condiment on the bun was, but all in all it was a very nice package for my lunch. The cucumber salad was delicious. Chili crisp made in house over chopped cucumber - lovely contrast. The chili crisp provides a nice little bite, not "hot" (YMMV, I like hot foods) but really tasty.
