We were there today 7/1/26 around 9:45 pm and I know the kitchen usually is cleaning up to close up soon. Thankfully the kitchen staff fried the food fresh! When we got home everything was cooked hot and seasoned well! Not salty just perfect! So good Also the lady who was at the front counter that gave us the order you have great customer service! I have encountered at least five unpleasant experiences during my last five or six orders made through the app. On several occasions, I received undercooked fish after stating to cook extra crispy and or additional time. Additionally, my orders have been missing items, including the most recent one. I reached out to the manager on duty, who was expected to take my name and at least provide a replacement meal as a courtesy. However, when I called today, they still did not have my name for the replacement meal. Given the numerous negative experiences I have had, this will be my final time purchasing from any Captain D's location across the United States. read more

This is absolutely terrible food. It is salty dry and no passion behind this. I spent over $30 and I got nothing stale fish!!! my fries were cold. My fish was cold and it made me wait over 20 minutes for this that the hush puppies tasted like raw feet or a sock. What is this place? The workers need to go to jail for this? I had a good first experience from Captain D's recently. I got some coupons in the mail which made me interested in the place. I ordered the grilled white fish plate which comes with rice and choice of breadstick or two hush puppies (I got the latter). For sides, I ordered the mac and cheese and green beans with an unsweetened iced tea for my beverage (sold separately). I also got a grilled shrimp skewer on the side. I pre-ordered and paid online with no issues. My food was ready for pick-up on time, and even though I was almost an hour late in ATL traffic, my food was still warm and fresh and tea was still cold. Everything was pretty tasty. The fish and shrimp were even better than expected for a fast food joint. The mac and cheese was creamy and good, but tastes pretty much like every other fast food mac out there. The green beans were good but tasted canned. I liked the hush puppies which reminded me of Red Lobster's cheddar bay biscuits in terms of seasoning. Overall, a solid meal and excellent, friendly service. The food was decent, well prepared and hot. That was good. The service was not good. As we entered we lingered at the menu boards before walking up to the counter. An employee said hello. It took a minute to register, because I was searching the menu. When her hello registered, I looked up and said, "I'm sorry, hello." She replied, "I just tried to say hello," rather snippily. We proceeded to the person taking orders. She was gruff and even a bit rude from the beginning. She didn't like that we didn't know immediately what we wanted, didn't acknowledge when my husband asked for extra crispy fries, just stared and gave one word responses. When he asked if she got that he wanted extra crispy fries she cut him off and said, "second side? I'll tell them back there as soon as you complete your order!" When he finished, she went around the corner and yelled, "those fries are burnt!" She curtly completed taking order and told us we would be order #5. While we waited, and later as we ate, we could hear her being rude to another couple of customers. I should add we were there just before 11:00 AM, and they were not busy. At no time did we observe more than one customer at the counter. There was plenty of "down" time. Not a good experience. read more

I have a very short lunch period. Therefore, I typically order online, which i did today, allowing me more time to eat. Today's experience was just plain bad. The app said my food would be ready by 2:31. I arrived at 2:35. I finally left with my food 30 minutes later. Total chaos here today. Went to this location around 5pm on Saturday. The drive thru you barely could hear. Placed my order after repeatedly asking them to speak up. Once I got home and started to eat the fish had a bad taste. Really fishy, almost a tainted taste. My shrimp was like rubber. My corn taste and looked like it had been cooked 2 days prior. My okra had no taste at all. My wife and I both got sick from this experience. This is not my first time we have gotten bad food from this location. This location is .5 miles from my house. Today I went to the drive through at 7:45, within 6 minutes I arrived at the drive thru speaker - only to hear "we're closed". With my window down I heard the car in front of my ask why, and the reply was "because we are closed". If you look on their website it clearly states that they are open until 10 pm. Now I understand that restaurants are struggling to find workers, but this is outrageous and demonstrates that the workers here aren't concerned with their enormous lack of concern for their customers. They can only blame the epidemic for some of this, but this behavior is hard to understand. read more

I have never been so appalled at the service I received from the manager. The lady at the counter and the cook were amazing but words cannot express how horrible the manager responded to a difficult situation. I ordered online, arrived 17 minutes early and asked if I could get my order earlier. I was told they had no record of my order and it would be 30-45 minutes. Made no sense. I attempted to show my receipt to substantiate my order and my request and then it started a shouting match. I will admit, I gave as equally as I received and it went bad quickly. The system was explained and the whole " no one wants cold food" was yelled at me from the kitchen and words were tremendously heated. It did not go well. Then my order popped up and the manager left the window immediately after stating my order had been received but I wasn't going to get it for another 45 minutes. Unacceptable. I apologized to the staff for my behavior yet no one apologized for theirs. The manager refused to come out. The young lady at the counter did all she could do to make it better and the cook was amazing. Food was almost right, missing the order of shrimp I paid for, but the food was tasty. I was craving Captain D's. NEVER AGAIN! NEVER! NEVER! The MANAGER was HORRIBLE. She ultimately made what could have been a disappointment an absolute fiasco. I don't write negative reviews... this is my first. 46 minutes after the nightmare and I am still mad and disappointed. I see why that location has 2 stars if this is the type of public relations they encourage. The manager was HORRIFIC. Be ASHAMED that she works for Captain D's. Luckily Captain D's is a privately traded company and have no real stockholders to answer to on a regular basis. Commitment to service would clearly be required to improve. Unexpectable. The poor cashier was managing customers as best as she could in the front. She was the only one taking orders inside and managing the drive thru orders as well. She did a good job and had excellent customer service. What was not okay was the manager. She was the main one putting together the orders. She'd make the orders and then slam them down when they were ready. I was very vocal about her slamming my food, and I closely watched her to ensure she didn't do anything to my food for speaking up. She was so angry about the crowd in her restaurant that she went on a rant asking why people weren't cooking at home, because it was New Years Eve. She also frequently messed up orders because she was to busy worrying about why people were eating out instead of at home. At one point she got mad and walked from the back and slammed the kitchen door and stormed off to the bathroom. To be spending nearly $40 dollars on a meal for a family, and then to see the service is completely baffling. Kudos to the cashier and cook who remained calm throughout the whole meltdown that the manager had. The management needs to be changed ASAP. read more

Yeah I went today and it's the first time I've been able to actually get food due to the wait. I've been three other times before this go around. Every other time it's over a 20 minute wait in both the drive through AND inside. I decided to come today since I am driving through; I had forgotten the wait is ridiculous but I instantly remembered once I got in line for the drive through. I was mad because at a certain point in the drive through lane, they have it sectioned off from the Goodwill across the street so if you want to get out of line, you can't. It's Sunday as I type this so it was a slow day for them. Sadly there slow day still had me waiting for 35 minutes for food. Took me 10 just to get up to the box to order. I've never been to a Captain D's that takes FOREVER to get you your food. I turned my car off twice waiting in this line. The person heading the line waited so long for her food that she received hers after me. She got so pissed, she got out of her car and marched inside. Check your food before you leave!! I can't stress that enough. I noticed a few people taking their orders back inside after waiting forever just to get it. You can tell they cook everything in the same oil that hasn't been changed at all. One of my fish was fried and kinda black and my fries tasted like fish. 10.41 for a messed up meal. On a Sunday afternoon, the restaurant was packed but significantly under staffed. The speaker box is either broken or doesn't work well. There was one worker to work the drive thru and the inside of the restaurant. The workers were slow and seemed to be bothered to have customers to serve. It's really unfortunate that reviews from several years ago still affect a location's rating. I love this place. The drive through has been slow sometimes, yes, but that's the only issue - and an acceptable part of getting great food. The people there have always been really nice and the food is perfect. And where else can you get steamed green vegetables at a drive-thru? It's not even in my neighborhood but I often make the trip because I know I'll be satisfied with the food and the experience. read more

Popped in for a quick dinner with SO the other night. We were the only ones there, even the drive through was dead. As soon as entered, our noses were assaulted with this foul stench and bleach. It was bad, but because we agreed to eat real quick and be on our way we decided to stay and dine in. Towards the end of our meal, a homeless man walks in and starts calling out for a guy who worked in the back. The cashier told him that the guy was in the back. So the homeless guy proceeds to sit across from us, asking if we were finished with our corn (there was seriously about 2 kernels left on it) and asked us for change. Now, I rarely carry cash on me just for safety concerns. But my SO gave him a handful of change. The homeless guy looks at it and said "Man, is that all you have?" I snapped because management should have stopped him from badgering paying patrons. I told him that's all the change we had and he should appreciate that someone was giving him something. He muttered under his breath and we just left. We will probably do drive thru the next time we are craving some captain d's. read more

I can only give this place two stars because it is literally fast food in the sense that the quality of the food isn't that great. I took a picture of what my meal looked liked. I always order the same thing, fish tenders and typically have to send it back because it's so much battery and much crispier than originally sold when they first started them. Other locations don't double hater the fish tenders but as the manager stated they do because they sell a lot of them. So if you are expecting your fish to look like the picture be ready for a surprise. I used to order the normal fish but it has become really greasy and less than desirable to eat so I've stopped going to this one altogether. I have them a 3 for their staff and sides. read more

The steamed broccoli tasted like it was boiled in fish water (ugh...); the corn on the cob tasted like bacon (how does that happen!?!); the hush puppies tasted like bootleg Krispy Cream donuts; the butterfly shrimp were completely tasteless and the fish was SO salty I couldn't finish it. We waited at the drive through speaker for about 10 minutes (it was also raining and the speaker has no cover so I was getting soaked) with no response, eventually other cars went around us to the window so we gave up and went directly to the window. I knew it wasn't going well and I saw the car in front of us leave with no food so there wasn't much hope but we waited at the window for about 5 minutes. There were no visible employees anywhere. We called the location and it just rang endlessly. This was at 9:20 and they close at 10. I guess there was no one in the building? We went across the street to chick-fil-a and then saw a couple of people pop up in the captain Ds drive through window as we were waiting across the way. If you are looking for a job definitely go to this location, because there is nobody working there currently! Also, make sure to head over early enough to still have time to go to a different restaurant if you want to attempt to get food from them lol. read more

I visit this location when in the area after church. The restaurant has been without a gm for almost a year and it shows! Woman's restroom always a mess, slow to take orders and very unfriendly and unhelpful when they do take it. Like the previous reviewer I will say yea, we know it is fast food. However, I want my order right, cooked right, hot, and at least have plastic wear in the bag if it is to go.
