The pizza is amazing. Each pie is named after an musical artist or group. My favorite is the Dianna Ross and the Supremes. It has veggies and proteins. Shorty's also has a bar so I always enjoy a glass of wine while I wait for my pizza. The staff and is friendly and accommodating. It feels just like your local neighborhood eatery. Very disappointed. Where are these positive reviews coming from? I cannot relate. I am not a pizza person. I really have to be in the mood. Today for lunch, I figured let's try it. Big mistake. They have a really big menu so that's nice, lots of options. But maybe they have too many options because I couldn't make a decision and ultimately chose wrong. I ordered a pizza half weird al, half Frankie valli, it was disgusting. When I got there and opened the box, I immediately knew I messed up. I said to server, I expected the crust to be fuller, she just gave me the bill and walked off. I really wanted to cancel the order because I didn't like the way it looked. Paying for something you don't want sucks. I wanted to say "I don't accept this" but I paid for it smh. Tried the pizza I was stuck with. Bland, flavorless, flat, (insert annoying synonym for tasteless) and only luke warm when it only took me 7 mins to get there from time of order, should have been piping hot. Both pizzas were gross. I ended up throwing it out. Then the salad. They have several options, again, I guess I chose wrong even though I did ask the server what she recommended in both the pizza and salad. Going inside to pick up the pizza, in looking around, it doesn't look the cleanest. Also, I don't think I'm the demographic this business caters too. The pizzas are flavorless. I am done trying pizza places. Antico, Mellow Mushroom, and now Shorty's, all fails. These places make Pizza Hut look like the Ritz! And these places are not cheap. We have frequented this place quite a few times and can't believe I never left a review! I think the best quality of this place is their service (their food and drinks are also amazing) but the service has always been impeccable. No egos and they always make you feel very welcome. Such a small thing but I have been doing reviews for quite a while now and have yet to see this level of service in most places. Obviously this is a pizza place so the pizza is impeccable. As weird as it sounds is the Janis Joplin. It has apples, bacon, walnuts, and cheese and they serve it with a side of honey! Now hear me out -- I never like fruit with my savory but this pizza is bussin. They also name all of their pizzas off of musicians (the Jack White, Biggy Smalls, and Tina Turner) to name a few. How clever! In addition to the yummy pizzas they also have other options if you aren't in the mood. Their salads are quite good and they give you a generous amount of protein. If I am not craving pizza I will get a salad and a side of their focaccia cheese bread. Holy smokes is it good with their red sauce. Their bar is fully stacked and they usually have a nice selection of beers. Although I am currently not drinking alcohol, you best believe once football season is underway I will be enjoying a cold one! The interior isn't much to bark at but the atmosphere is everything.... Stop reading this review. Get thee to Shorty's. We've been here several times and they always get everything right. You might not know it from looking at the place, but someone in that kitchen is paying very close attention to what's on the menu and how it is cooked. For instance, they make their own bread. The pizzas are wood-fired. And nothing on the menu is an afterthought. You can't go wrong with any of the pizzas. Just get what sounds good to you and hang out for a bit with the adult beverage of your choice. The pizza will take a bit of time, but you'll forget the time when it arrives at your table all hot, fresh, and tasty. One day we decided to try something other than pizza. I can't remember what my friends had because I was completely enamored of the Chicken Pesto Sandwich. That reminded me of an old favorite I'd had at another restaurant, and I'm happy to have found this deliciousness at Shorty's. I can't wait for my next visit here. The food overall is really good the pizza is great but I go for the wings. The restaurant itself has a very cozy vibe there's art from local artists hung up all around the place. The service is great. The only complaint I have is if you go on a Friday after 6 expect a wait on a table and on food they get really busy. 3 Stars -- Still Hoping for a Comeback I've loved Shorty's for years -- their small, hand-stretched, oven-fired pizzas were once my favorite in Tucker. I usually order a simple cheese, and it used to come out beautifully balanced. But recently, the pizzas have been really inconsistent: crisp and brown on the edges, but soggy and undercooked in the middle. If that's happening on a small cheese, I worry what a larger one with toppings might be like. On a brighter note, the s'mores pizza is still a treat -- but only if you eat it there. Straight from the oven, it's gooey and fun. If you try to get it delivered, it loses all the texture and magic by the time it arrives. I haven't given up on them -- just hoping the kitchen tightens things up. I miss the Shorty's I used to rave about. read more

The guacamole and our pizza was delicious! I especially loved that you could get 2 of their specialty pizzas on one pie. (Half one, half another!) We did the Carlos Santana (I thought this one was just okay, my bestie did really like it) and the other half was the Declan McManus (we subbed provolone instead of goat cheese) and that was absolutely amazing! We finished with the chocolate chip cookies. Don't order those. They were inedible. I feel like they forgot about them in the oven. They were incredibly dry. Not good. I ordered 3 pizzas for takeout. One pepperoni was received without pepperoni. The one with prosciutto did not have any prosciutto. We called, were put on hold for 17 minutes and then were hung up on. I called again and left a message but no one ever called back. No refund, no apology, no explanation, no meat on the pizzas. I think I found another good pizza place. This spot really delivered on the pizza cravings. A cool spot in Tucker they have a great rendition of pizza. Clever names paying homage to notable singers throughout the years remaking some of the classic choices for pizza or creating a new pizzas with some Gnarly ingredients. I ate here twice during my trip and got a chance to sample a good amount of stuff. They have some cool house beers on tap too. The space is pretty big inside and they have a patio as well. The pizza is great, the two sandwiches I had were cool, big pieces of chicken inside the sandwich. The Po Boy was cool, there's no major complaints but it's likely one of those one and done type of orders. You know how it goes with those one and done type of orders: You try those items just to either cross it off the list, or because you want to gamble on something new on the menu that you were curious to try. Now that You've had it, you may have liked it, but you didn't like it enough to order it again. It just happens that way sometimes. But the Only thing I will say is the wings were a little dry. They were big and had plenty of meat on them which was a shame. Or maybe it was seasoning they put on there, I think it really took something out of the wings. My brothers roommate liked them though and dusted them off. I like my wings plain so next time I'll just have to make sure they don't add seasonings or anything to it. Still besides that they have some other things I would like to try on their menu. Curious to see how they do their gourmet burgers. So you'll come in and looks like a barn, which is cool I guess. It's plenty of space on the inside though. It's not really like a spot you will go for outdoor seating but indoor they have enough. I have a full bar there as well so you can just sit at the bar if you need to. When I was there it looked like it was only one person waiting tables but she was moving her butt! She made sure to trying to get to everybody. And she was super nice and cool and give me plenty of time and explain the menu when I ask questions on it. I asked for the wings and they didn't have any, that kind of sucked because I was really looking forward to the wings but another time. So ended up going with a sandwich and a pizza. Chicken pesto sandwich with bacon what's good. The sandwich bread was toasted well, I added bacon to mine because it adds extra flavor to anything. The chicken was thick and it came out juicy. Could he use some more pesto but for what it was, the sandwich was really good and I would actually try more sandwiches from them. It comes with a side and I chose the potatoes and they were really damn good too. The cure + Diana Ross and The Supremes is the pizza that I got. You get the split the pizza into two if you want to go ahead and try more than one flavor and it doesn't matter if it's a small or large so I thought that was really good. So the cure had a lot of meat, I had a lot of flavor to it, Diana Ross had me but it had some vegetables to it too which that gave the vegetable taste to it overall. Which was fine. Both of them were good, but I would do the cure before I do the Diana Ross again. read more

This is a locally owned small business and I will def be returning! We instantly felt at home when we saw the Gay Pride flag representing LGBTQ plus friendly place! So THANK YOU for being kind to the community. Servers were so friendly and answered all questions. They were very attentive too! The wings were so bomb! These were grilled wings I think or at least not fried! The flavor was great and juicy! The pizza crust was def brick oven product. The crust had amazing brick oven flavor and flakiness. Mouth is watering just thinking about it! The topping combination were not the best in the world, but I think you can find some cool quirky combinations that you don't see everywhere. Stopped in just before the dinner rush on Friday night. We were driving past and thought, "Hey we've never been there." This wood-fieed.pizza joint is pretty darn good! Their dining area seemed to still be missing tables (still in pandemic spacing mode), but to tell you the truth it was probably best because I think they have not recovered in the staffing department. There were "3 front of house" ladies and they were doing everything - greeting, taking orders, bartending, food running, bussing ... everything. Service was slow, but the food and positive friendly attitudes of the staff more than made up for it. We had the caprese salad appetizer, small Frankie Valli, and small Caesar salad. Everything was delicious. We'll ask for the pizza to be cooked well done next time because the center of the pizza was too soggy for our liking, but again the flavor was so good we chowed down anyway. I really really enjoyed the Caesar salad - it was lightly dressed and the croutons were toasted in the wood fire which gave the entire salad a smoky flavor that I enjoyed immensely. I have been going to Shorty's for a while. But the place is going down since the new management took over. Yesterday I went to shorty's and saw a note saying " no alcohol". Apparently the owner forgot to get the liquor license. The only saving grace is that the servers and food are great. I have seen the owner sitting in the corner on his phone. Awesome local spot with a large menu of pizzas. It feels like a cozy neighborhood spot with super friendly staff and excellent pizzas. We ordered 2 small 10" pizzas. The Declan Macmanus was great with the sweet balsamic glaze - it was the first time that I had potato as a pizza topping. The Tina Turner was super tasty with unexpected ingredient of walnuts. I found all of the different ingredient combinations to be delightful in giving true variety in pizza types! I'm always looking for unique dishes and this place did not disappoint. We decided to try this place based on the reviews on here. We made a take out order over the phone. We spent $112 on 2 small salads, 3 specialty pizzas and 1 build your own pizza. For the price that we paid, we expected to actually see ALL the toppings on the pizza. They were very very very sparse to the point nonexistent. For 2 of the pizzas we couldn't even tell the difference. The ranch for the salad dressing seemed like it was watered down. The 1 star is for the salads...well really because there is not way to give a lower rating. I definitely cannot recommend this place. Maybe it's better when you dine in because take out was no bueno. This place is awesome! From the outside it looks like it is kind of a hole in the wall but the food is amazing and the bartenders are too! I tried a pepperoni pizza, focaccia and pomodoro, and a caprese stack and everything was amazing!! Music is awesome and the vibes are great. This place is a hidden gem in Tucker, GA. Excellent spot for brick oven pizza. I have lived in the area for years and have just this year found Shorty's Pizza. Shorty's Pizza is a Music-themed wood-fired pies in an informal, barn-like building with occasional live bands. Great carryout service available. I never had an order mixed up or incorrect from here. Always get exactly what I want and the workers have a great attitude. Whole menu is fantastic and a nice selection of bar features with craft beers. Ample free parking space available in front of the restaurant. Their daily specials are awesome. Wednesdays: Half Price Pitcher of Craft Beer with a Large Pizza purchase, Thursdays: Half Priced Bottles of Wine and Fridays: Seasonal Specials By Chef Austin. Couple of my favorite pizzas from here are "Wu Tang Clan" which comes with Buffalo Chicken as the main topping, Gorgonzola Cheese, Celery, and a side of ranch dressing. The second one is "The Cure" which comes with Sopressata, Bacon, Salami, Prosciutto, Pepperoni as the toppings, and roasted garlic as a side. I usually get the small one which is 10'' but they have the large one 14''. The side salad was very refreshing with the vinaigrette dressing. The hummus dip with fresh veggies, olives, and fresh baked pita are to die for. Try the cookie with fresh cream after if you are still hungry. They are also doing everything they can to give you safety during the time of Covid. The prices can be a little high, but for the wonderful staff and incredible food I would rather pay a little more and enjoy my visit. You should definitely make this a must visit. Stopped in for a few beers after a late night meeting so I could talk to a friend for a little while longer. Shorty's was just the place to fit the bill. We got a few beers (see the pictures), had great service, and was able to have great conversation at one of the tables in the bar area. My buddy told me that he goes here pretty often because he and his friends really like the pizza. I, unfortunately, did not get to try the pizza. Great local spot that always takes care of ya. Pizza is outstanding. It's wood fired and typical crust is thin but order the thick and it's outstanding. You can take any of the music themed pizzas off the menu and mix and match. Top to bottom Shortys cannot be beat. The van Morrison is a baked potato pie and is awesome.
