4/5! After looking for a seafood buffet that has unlimited AYCE crab legs, I've finally found one! Captain George's really hit all the main points I was looking for in an AYCE seafood buffet. One, endless crab legs. Two, a variety of seafood entrees. and three, well priced. And yes, this place definitely hit all of them. The Food: First things first, the crab legs. Crab legs were steamy hot and weren't overcooked at all. The restaurant allows you to pile as much as you want on your plate, so its all fair game! They also have other options as well like, crawfish, dungeness crab legs, mussels and etc. All cooked very well and flavorful. They have other non-seafood options as well, but I mainly stayed to what was worth the money. The Service: The service was great, the staff were friendly and were on top of water refills and plate pickups. They also had tons of options that were always well stock at the buffet so you wouldn't miss out on any items you wanted to try. For about $45, it's hard to beat. Overall, a 4/5! The crab legs and seafood options were delicious, if they had more selections at the buffet bar, that would be cool. But not a complain at all. I'll be back when in OBX again! read more

A nice clean restaurant and a decent variety of steamed and fried seafood, and pretty much all the other fillers as well You can make yourself a nice salad to start and end with something from the the dessert table. All in all it was decent for the $$ The staff was really friendly and courteous and most importantly they are so attentive. Wow this place was great! All the good was amazing and fresh. The crab legs and fish were to die for. Price is a little steep but for a good meal it's definitely worth all 50 bucks per person. Bus group 12 last night. People who ordered didnt get food until dinner was halfway done. Had to call down staff to get their food, staff bumped us out of the way to dump the food. Plates were passed overhead across the table. Staff came and took our salt and pepper off the table so they could start eating the end of shift food behind us. Let's start with the atmosphere, it was a huge place, plenty of seating, and a huge bar. Restaurant was clean and inviting. It was super busy, but we sat down right away. The food was great, always fresh- and you never had to wait for crab legs because they were constantly refilling them. There is a variety of seafood no matter what you're looking for, grilled, broiled, grilled and fried. It is expensive about $50 a person so keep that in mind. Went here for the first time yesterday and really enjoyed my overall experience. I'm not the biggest fan of buffets but this was pretty well done. Lively atmosphere, clean, great customer service and good food. Our waitress, Logan, was attentive and friendly. She made recommendations and even told us how to eat crawfish! The buffet is stocked with so many seafood options but they did have a section for those who do not like/want seafood. We tried a few of those options but decided to stick to the seafood. This place is awesome, all you can eat buffet with tons of food from ribs to scallops to snow crab legs. It's expensive, $45 a person, so come hungry and plan to stick around for a bit. I've been to a couple of these places and I thought this one was just the same as all the rest. It is a little bit smaller and there were a couple of less offerings but it is what it is. It's roughly $60 all you can eat and the food was good. It was hot and the place was clean. The waiters and waitresses do an excellent job in shuffling folks around and taking the plates off your table. if you've ever been here, you know what the experience is like and I was not disappointed. This place has been a must visit on our trips to obx but honestly this last time will be our last. We've had better food at home hours from the ocean. Crab legs we get from kroger and steam at home are better than what's served here. All the seafood had a terrible fishy taste and yes it's seafood but I've had enough to know that isn't the norm and certainly didn't happen anywhere else we ate. The brisket was so tough it couldn't be chewed. Overall just wasn't a good experience thanks to mediocre food at a high cost. We went here for dinner about an hour before closing. The place was still very busy but not an overwhelming amount. We were seated really quickly and our server got our drink orders within three minutes of sitting down, which was awesome. We chose to eat from the buffet rather than ordering since we were in so close to closing time. A lot of the food was good, not great. And a lot of the food was just okay, dry or greasy. Which is to be expected from a buffet. Overall, just an okay restaurant. I have no plans to return because the food was not worth 50$ a person! It's cool if you've got a very big empty stomach but the establishment definitely put quantity over quality. Very kind staff, I hope they're getting a percent of the money made. I love seafood and though you get quite a selection here, it's a buffet and everything is prepared in a very mediocre manner. The ambience is very cafeteria and because you serve yourself at the buffet people are always on the move which can be distracting-but it's a buffet. The price is very high for what you get. $50/adult for mediocre seafood. They also do not have any prices on the beverage menu. What's that about? The recommended tip on the check is 18% - 25%. However you really are serving yourself so it seems a bit presumptuous especially considering the cost of the food. Overall it is what it says it is - buffet. Is this place packed? Yes, and for good reason. Its truly the most upscale and delicious seafood buffet this crab connoisseur has had the pleasure of patronizing. Did we wait long? An excellent buffet featuring unlimited steamed snow crabs (yes, I know they don't serve local seafood), oysters (raw, fried and Rockefeller), clams, fried baby shrimp, fried oysters, lots of other seafood casserole-y type dishes, Mac and cheese, a great salad bar, excellent sauteed zucchini, mushrooms (sauteed or stuffed), ribs, steamship round, etc. Yes, it is pricey, but considering the price of snow crab clusters, you eat 4 clusters and you've eaten the grocery store price of the crabs itself. The restaurant is super clean and I love how during the off season, everything is still at the same standard as during peak summer, but with no wait and no crowd. This place will definitely be a staple once a year (don't think I can stuff myself with so much food more than that). Also, Victoria was an excellent server! She was super attentive and even treated my FIL (who had a birthday) to a take away piece of chocolate cake. She was so happy and helpful! Tip your servers well at 20% here!
