I was excited to hear Capitan Nemos was returning to flat Rock. I couldn't wait to stop in. To my dissatisfaction, my steak and cheese sub was terrible. It was like a mouth full of lukewarm erasers. They have the right recipe Great Sub Sandwiches I've been coming to Captain Nemos for a long time. I remember when it was on Huron River Drive. The quality has gotten even better. Fresh ingredients friendly staff they have the right recipe for long term success. Today I had the delight of eating a 8" Traditional Sub toasted of course. I am happy to say "well done Captain Nemos". The bread was beautifully crunchy from toasting; the meats were flavorful, lettuce & tomato fresh and the seasoning sauce superb. Won't be back. I have been a loyal customer for years. I have always got a military discount with a military ID. The young girl behind the counter said no we don't. I have always received it even when the store was In Southgate on Fort Street. I won't be back. Great way to treat your military. The manger behind the counter was very snotty about it. Not able to give less than 1 star. THIS IS THE WORST PLACE DOWNRIVER. INCOMPETENT STAFF AND OWNERSHIP. I ordered 2 whole STEAK & CHEESE subs, totaling $25, I asked for no onion. Drove from Gibraltar, about 10 minutes, returned home and began to open them and saw something that resemble fried onions. So, I called and complained that they had made it with onions, the girl told me to bring them back up, they would make new ones. When I arrived, 2 girls began digging through them, then they said they had to call the manager. I waited about 15 minutes to be told I had ordered Bacon and Cheese(?) Gross! That was bacon? I argued to the point I said "Whoever took my order, got it wrong!" and responded to with "You cannot have the persons name so you can harass them." What? I didn't want anyone's name, I only wanted what I ordered, and paid for. I was told if I left my number, the owner could call me, tomorrow. No corrected order, no refund, no apology..... Take what they have me and get out. Great business practice, no wonder ther other store they owned closed, crap service. I threw them into the garbage on my way out. read more

Roses are red, violets are blue. Cap't Nickel and Dime O's, may perterb you! They've catered before, it was good but expensive. From my most recent visit, I'm more apprehensive! One large ground beef sub, is north of 10 bucks. Its' lack there of toppings, unfortunately sucks! Not sure I'll be back, I'm perched on the fence. Want dressing and cheese? They're each 75 cents! To pay with a card, adds one more dollar. That was the moment, i felt heat on my collar! With words I am lost, and slightly suspicious. I thought that's the cost, of running a business?! Captain nemos is usually an amazing place to eat. The people who work at this particular one do not know how to make sandwiches. The last two times I've went here, there was no meat in my sandwich, Just lettuce and bread. Disappointed in this specific captain nemos and won't ever return. read more

I hate giving anything other than good reviews. If I don't like a place I usually won't leave a review unless I had rude service or completely vile food. So a 3 star review, like this, is as "bad" a review I'll leave which means I still enjoyed the place. The food was good, nothing special. A bit salty for my liking, but I do tend to think a lot of places food are too salty. I don't like how they ask for your phone number even when you are ordering take out in person(Not over phone). Other than that I would order from Capt Nemos again I suppose if I was near by and wanted a "different" sub as they have a huge variety. I had the chicken taco sub and it was good, but nothing spectacular. read more
