WARNING!! DO NOT HIRE!!! If your looking for a company to do your pool service I strongly recommend that you keep looking. I have had several pool service companies over the years and Captain Pools is by far the worst one. They do not know how to clean a pool. My pool always looked worse after they cleaned it and if you called to complain, they would push back and pretty much sat you were a liar or that your pool equipment needed repaired. They were always trying to get me to do unnecessary repairs. Please don't use them. You'll regret it!!! Update: I also would like to add that they are liars. I approved everything they recommended up until the last one for a pool cleaner they recommended due to the debris in the pool. I didn't need a pool cleaner, I just needed them to do the job they said they would do. Of course there was debris because they weren't cleaning it.! They never gave me an ultimatum, I gave them one to clean the pool properly or cancel the service. They opted to cancel. Poor customer service. Poor business model. The work (replacing a sand filter) was done and done OK. The problem is that they 1) left a huge mess of sand everywhere, left a couple of monitors unhooked on a pipe lying across my equipment, stained my cool deck and flagstone, dragged sand across my turf, then, dumped all the sand over my fence into the desert right behind my house. I would not recommend nor use them again. Very poor quality. read more

Reached out on yelp to resolve a couple of issues with our pool set up. Exchanged info on Monday, CPT Pools was out Wednesday, problem was resolved within the hour. Steve was thorough, pointed out a couple of maintenance items and asked if we wanted him to send us a bid for those. Same experience on these times, received the bid within a day, came out shortly after the bid was accepted. All in all a good experience, would make the call again if another issue arises. read more

I hope their work with pool cleaning is good, because the pool deck remodel skills lack. The workers do not know what they are doing and there was not any supervision when they did a job at my home. They gave us a quote for a remodel in September, 2019. They told us they expected to be done in December, 2019. Here it is almost a year later and it is still not done (Aug 2020). I hesitate to allow people to utilize my yard and pool because much of what they did is not safe. Their communication with us was not good. I had to reach out to them time and time again - after being patient and hoping for them to provide status updates. They promised a crew of workers several times. No "crew" ever showed. For weeks we had 1 worker that would show 2 to 4 hours a day. ALL of his work had to be redone and even the fix for that work was not professional. I am not a complainer. I give others the benefit of the doubt and allow for a learning curve. I hope by posting this others will not use them for remodeling and regret, like I do, the thousands of dollars we paid to them for a mess that we now have to try and fix. Captain Pools - maybe just stick to cleaning pools - if that is what you are good at. read more

As we are out of state I absolutely love that they send me photos of before and after with the pool, they detail what was done, they include the chemical readings and when woke was needed, sent photos and were able to provide a fair and accurate estimate. Captain Pools performed an acid wash on my pool. Quickly responded to my query and provided a price that was very competitive. Once contracted I was informed that the scheduler would contact me. I was never contacted and a few days later received a text that they would be at my home in 20 minutes. to perform the work. This caused some concern since I was out of town. I contacted Captain Pools and worked out how the technician could perform the acid wash without being home. read more

This company is absolutely terrible. They take two seconds to clean the pool and then leave. I over looked this issue for a few months until today when I was finally pushed over the edge. They decided to come on a different day without notifying me first. They have been made aware I have two big dogs and that I needed to know in advance if there were any schedule changes. Today at work I got a call that the pool guy was "almost" attacked by my dogs so he let them out the gate. First of all, why was anyone at my house when it was not the scheduled day. Second, how if my dogs were so aggressive did you manage to clean the whole pool and shock it. Third, why would you leave my house and shut the gate knowing my dogs were outside of the yard!!!! The owner became very defensive telling me my dogs were aggressive and it was my fault. Please do not use this pool service if you have pets. Not to mention the week before I watched the pool guy leave the gate wide open, luckily the dogs were in the house. The owner is also EXTREMELY defensive and you can tell be the responses to the bad reviews. read more

Extremely disappointed in this company as I was given this referral from my realtor who happens to be a good friend. I reached out to the owner on October 11 to begin the process of a new pool build and was also interested in putting in a hot tub. I am a travel nurse and rely on other people to help make arrangements to coordinate any projects. Tysons team came out the following week to look at the property. After not a single word for almost a month I had reached out to my realtor to let him know how disappointed I was. The next day I received a message from Tyson asking what kind of pool I wanted and after sending a photo and communicating with Tyson I was expecting a quote. Fast forward a few more weeks and still nothing, I again reached out to Tyson yesterday to which I did not receive a response. I reached out today to let him know I would no longer be going with his company as to not waste their time, as I was not given that courtesy. His only response was an apology stating he didn't blame me....If you have no timeline and don't expect a response or the company to have a mentality in which their clients time and money is respected this is the company for you! read more

Captain Pool IS the pool company to take care of your pool needs. I would recommend them to anybody. They are attentive, responsible, caring and particular at what they do best. Dylan, who takes care of my weekly maintenance, does a great job balancing the pH levels, chlorine and other readings along with maintaining the equipment.
