I explained and we both went outside to my car. The two front wheels were already showing metal but the back tires looked like new still. He was showing me what was saying in his handheld machine. I'm so glad I went in there that Monday. I wasn't expecting to pay for 2 new tires but at least I'm more safer on the road. I highly recommend them. This will be the only place I will ever go now.

Other vehicles were driven into bays and work begun. 9:00am still waiting. Requested refund at 9:15am. Was refunded without argument. Asked to have tires inflated as some were quite low. Assistant manager and manager couldn't find proper parts to operate the air compressor. An absolutely awful customer experience that no business should want spoken about or repeated..or to happen in the first place. I could see the issue right away, having owned a business myself. I hope the manager gets a crew that want to work for all people and their vehicles not a select few. My friend was in line for new tires, about $800 or more, he is now going elsewhere. Discount Tire had performed above and beyond for us every time we went to them in the last couple of years. I hope they will again. Right now though, changes need to be made.

I carried my car, a 2005 CDillac , into this company to have brake pads. The man was very nice and…read moreI was told needed whole brake job, the car never had a problem just needed pads. $755 worth. Then man came out and said my brake line was ruined and needed to be replaced, really? Okay, another $650 . Drove so-so going home, drove to church the next day , as I was leaving to back out of space, I had no brakes, at all. It shot backwards across lot, I threw it in park and shut it down. If someone had been behind me I would have killed them and also had bad collision. Called them next day, they kept for a couple of weeks , did some things to it and I retrieved car. The next time I was out it began vibrating and shaking so I couldn't hold in road. Returned it, again . This time they kept couple of weeks, guess what , same thing. This time they told me they had no idea and to take it somewhere else to be fixed. There was nothing wrong with it , before, it never shook or vibrated. Now it's parked I'm afraid to drive it and after paying them I can't afford to take it to someone else. Anyone else with similar issues?

After waiting for those three and a half hours, I get on the road to discover they really had not done a thing to my truck except rotate my tires. No oil change, and many of the fluids they supposedly topped off were extremely low or totally dry. I went back to demand my money and they refused to refund me. They offered to look at my truck again and have me wait another time, but I did not trust them enough to do so. I ended up having to pay for a second oil change at a different service center. AVOID THIS BUSINESS.

The website said if you did that online they would cost $190.49. Installation was fine, but after looking at the paperwork at home, I noticed that I was charged $202.99. I know it is a small amount, but it is dishonest to do that. Not sure I will buy from them again. If I had access to tire equipment, I would buy my tires wholesale and mount them on the rim myself. Did it before when I worked for the Highway Patrol years ago. I just used the squad car shop.

Called the next morning and told them why it was there and I needed a quote to repair it. They called back and quoted over $1,200 dollars to replace both hose assemblies. I called the Ford dealer in Rome and their quote was $650 to replace both hoses. Called Mavis and told them NOT to work on it and I would get it towed to the Ford dealer. Found a towing company, and set up for it to be towed. So I called Mavis back and let them know someone would be picking it up at which time I was told that the tech already had one assembly removed and was putting in the new one, and that the charge would be $580 to replace one assembly. Told the person I had instructed them not to do the repair, but had to go ahead since it was almost done. Be careful with this location, because they will try to RIP you off. Mine would have been less than $45o to replace one assembly at Ford.

I came in every day. I showed up on time. I never complained about anything except being hot. Everybody says it's hot. Yall let y'all's tire manager just yell at people and snap at them and talk to employees any type of way. People make mistakes and yall want perfection. That's not how you keep workers around. Yall had no issue drinking up my money bc yall can't keep drinks in the fridge. Yall had no issue with any of the other tire techs making the same mistakes. Apparently yall got no issue putting my family on the street either. Family don't do that. If this is how yall do business no wonder you can't keep good help. Owner didn't even have the balls to fire me himself. He had one of his little managers do it. I worked my ass off for you and got stabbed in the back. That's pretty dirty.

We…read morehad an appointment at 10 am to be seen, arrived prior to the appointment time and sat and waited, an hour past and I ask about the time and there was a guy said that they were behind, I told him that I would be back, I left the truck and went on with my day. Around 2:30-3pm I called and they said that they just got it back to look at it and they told me what needed to be done to fix the problem that the truck was having, I gave consent to move forward with the repairs. Time went on it was after 5pm and I had not heard from them, I called and they said they were putting everting back together it would be ready shortly. But while telling me that he said that one of the brake lines wasn't working properly. So instead of saying "hey let me keep it overnight and get the break line fixed" they put everything back together and let us pay and drive off. Got down the road and the truck was doing the same thing it was doing before. So the following morning we called back down there and they said bring it back and they would make it right. Took it back down there and left it and later that day they called and told me that it was ready and it would be $180ish dollars, I said excuse me? He told me the cost again, I said sir I just paid you almost $900 yesterday and you think I'm going to pay additional money today because you or your techs didn't fix the truck correctly? You have me mistaken, I'm not paying any additional. Keep in mind the tech told me the day before that they were "throwing" it back together, while also telling me there was an issue with the brake line. So they knew it was going to be an issue and just wanted to get paid and send me on my way, which put my LIFE in jeopardy. What if the brakes completely failed & I had an accident and got killed or killed someone else? Jim's tire doesn't care about you as a person/customer. They are only looking for the money. The "manager" called me and told me that he would take the labor off the bill but I still needed to pay for the parts that they used. Then he said he was going to erase the whole invoice and I could go pick up the truck. He knew what they had done and he knew it wasn't right, he didn't want any issue. I told him I was going to let everyone I knew know how they done us and that we would never use them for service again. I would suggest that you do the same, avoid them at all cost.
