I came tonight with a group of 15. There were a few other large groups there tonight. I had the fried shrimp with coleslaw, hush puppies, roasted corn medley, and a side salad. The salad was mixed field greens with tomato and cucumber. It was a nice size and served in a bowl. The balsamic dressing was nothing special, but it was good. The fried shrimp were very good. I could not finish them, but they were very good. The coleslaw was very good. It did not have sugar in it. The roasted corn medley was also very nice. The hush puppies were hot and fresh. I did not taste the cake or any of the food in the pictures, but the others in my party were very complementary of their dishes. We ate on the open air deck part of the restaurant. The weather was perfect and the ambiance was lovely. The service was friendly and attentive. The only downside to the service was not the server's fault. She was asked by a few in our party how spicy a dish was or other details about various menu items. She was honest in her reply that she had never eaten the dishes. She was obviously new, but she should have been more familiar with the menu items. Again this was not her fault. Management trains or doesn't train their servers. All and all, I would visit this venue again. read more

We have been to Captains twice since they opened and the food and service were top notch. The atmosphere on the deck is the best I have experienced in the 25+ years I have been around Highland Marina. The Cajun Pasta and the Chicken Joilee were fantastic. Try the collard greens as a side, they have some black skillet type action going on, we will order these every time. read more

Service was very good. Friendly even when they were very busy. We just stopped for drinks but looking at the crowd, the food must be tasty. The place was nice but so many people made it extremely hot. The live music while nice was sorta old school. read more

This place was so nice! Perfect for either a date night or a family outing. It's on the water and such a nice classy atmosphere. They have put a lot of hard work into this place. I had blacked catfish and it was a lot of fish for the price. The collard greens are not traditional but they have a nice flavor to them. They reminded me of Asian flavors mixed with bbq flavors. Greg had the Cajun pasta and it was amazing Alfredo sauce with a very well seasoned chicken breast. I'm not a hush puppy gal but those were the best I've ever had. We will be back!!!! read more

My wife had shrimp tacos and the presentation was great and the flavor as well. We come here often! When I tell you, it is the best restaurant in Troup County, I'm not exaggerating. The steaks are cooked to perfection, the Cajun pasta is delicious, the fries are superb. I also discovered a hidden gem this evening, the roasted corn medley, absolutely sublime. It is the perfect blend of flavors to spark your tastebuds. Very slow service. Cold food. Typical fried food reheated against a so-so view of a trash cluttered portion of West Point lake.

I don't know where to begin. We were looking forward to eating at this restaurant so much, however that didn't happen. We had friends playing music there and we arrived and could not get a table. Now don't get me wrong, there were plenty of available tables but we were told they were reserved. We asked if we could sit at a table until the people arrived, we did that and funny thing is they never did arrive until we were leaving. After 45 minutes they said we could sit inside, we had asked to sit outside. We noticed that people that came before us had not even received their food. The young girl who assigned tables and received reservations had no clue what she was doing. It was a complete disaster!!!!! If they are going to do reservations and hold all the tables for them then they should have a reservation only policy. If they are going to allow walk-in customers then they need to save some tables for them. Like I said before, it was a complete disaster! We will not be back until they get it together. Oh, they had nowhere for people to sit while waiting on tables. None of the tables had reserved signs on them so how would you know they are reserved. Horrible service. Waited 27 minutes to order..30 minutes for food to be served (raw oyster and wings), wings came 1st, then oysters. My party sat at Bar it took 8 minutes and 13 minutes to get a drink. This restaurant started out well, but it is going downhill quickly. This was the worst service we ever had. I don't mean from our server, I mean MANAGEMENT!! Wow! Our server was GREAT!! However management needs a little help! We will not be back until they get them under control. We will not even be back at coaches. The management needs to learn how to speak to customers. We love the food and the waiter staff but the "owners" need to take customer service classes if they think they are ever going to make it. I'm soooo disappointed. I love the food but.....management makes an AWESOME place and they definitely need some work on that part. read more

This was an excellent choice for dinner. The food and service was outstanding, the view of the lake as the sun was setting really added to the charm.
