We skipped over Zaxby's at the exit to try a local place. The saucy nugs, wings, and chicken tenders were good. The fries were completely inedible. I watched every person in the restaurant throw away a heaping plate of fries. They tasted like grease and were translucent they were so greasy. The food came up super fast so I'm wondering if they were pre-fried and popped back in hot grease before serving. After paying $15 for tenders and fries I would at least like to be able to eat the fries. Everyone working was friendly and the restaurant was clean. Came here after a soccer tournament and it was great! Laid back and relaxing atmosphere. We got wings, fingers and a burger. Everything was fresh and flavorful. Their sauce was YUMMY! The atmosphere was very diner but it was mostly clean inside which I can appreciate. The employees seemed like HS girls which is great seeing the local community employees and they did their job very well. The food, the wing sauce was good enough I got spicy and it is not too hot just very generic. My complaint was the size of the wings!!! I have never seen chicken this small before it had to of been game Hen ! I posted a picture but it really does not show you just how very small the chicken is. The fries were good, the bread was only slightly toasted on one side so not a fan of that... the prices are fair if only the wings were not tiny! My son said the chicken fingers were very good and a better size. My daughter really enjoyed their teriyaki sauce but again the chicken was just so darn small!! While the chicken fingers are great , have to stay away from the battered fried stuff so I get hot wings , for whatever reason yes wings have gotten expensive and that being the case it is not to much to consider a decent sized hot wing. I literally have gotten wings here small than a chicken nugget , drumsticks not even as large as your wife's thumb. They should really either discard these or not count them towards your meal count. If profits are that tight then figure your cost per lb. Place your needed margin on this and then just sell them per lb. It's a win win. read more

It is a very unassuming location across from the big cemetery in LaGrange. It has a drive through, but I parked my car and walked inside for a takeout order. I ordered the spinach salad, a fried chicken sandwich, a fried Chicken tender platter, and a fried shrimp platter to-go. The staff took my order at the counter. They were friendly. It was fairly busy at 1:00 on a weekday. It took about 10 minutes for me to get the food and walk out. I was pleased that I did not have to wait very long, considering how busy they were. The ambiance was casual fast food--nothing fancy or modern, but clean. I ate the fried shrimp, spinach salad, coleslaw, and a few fries. (My mother and I split the shrimp platter and the salad--I'm not a pig!! . The fried shrimp were wonderful, the spinach salad was wonderful, and the salad dressing was a good name brand in a packet. The slaw was crispy and tasty. The French fries were meh. They were crinkly cut fries that one can purchase frozen at the grocery store. Also the fries were not as hot as the other fried foods, so maybe they had been hanging out in the frier basket for a while in the kitchen. My friends had the fried chicken sandwich and the chicken tender platter. They both demolished their food. The only leftovers were the French fries, but no one wanted to save them. I was delighted with this establishment. I will eat there again, but I will probably not order the French fries. read more

I called the restaurant to ask if they delivered bc I was trying to have food delivered to my adult brother with autism. the person I spoke with at the restaurant gave me a list of 3 3rd party apps they deliver through. I picked one and placed my $42 order. my money was instantly taken but the food was never received. when I called back and asked why the restaurant said oh we only use the app you chose for pickup, not delivery. they refused to refund or remake the order even though I asked beforehand how to get it delivered. both the app and this restaurant refused to salvage the issue read more

5 stars all day for Jim Bob's. I've been her a few times and my experience is the same: Excellent. As soon as you walk in the daily specials are written on a chalkboard, giving you a nice hometown feel. The menu is pretty extensive but everything is detailed. I'm not a fan of cornbread but Jim Bob's is excellent. I've had wings and the catfish and you really can't go wrk g with either. Most importantly for the amount of food you get, it's affordable! Sigh.... I want to give them five stars, but that would not be truthful. Jim Bobs can be hit or miss, you just never know. One visit you may get hands down the best wings and freshest salad you've ever had, the next its dried-up wings and brown lettuce with slimy cucumbers on the salad. One visit you get the nicest helpful staff, and the next one is rude teenagers with serious attitude. Friends of ours have had scary allergy issues with their son there even after letting the staff know ahead of time, this has happened so many times they finally just stopped going, especially after the last time when they nicely but firmly let the young manager know of how dangerous food allergies are. After spending literally thousands of dollars there over the years (catering included) I wish I knew how we could predict what kind of day they are having ahead of time. Our last large take out order, the wings were so hard and overcooked that we ended up throwing most of them away, 100 wings! The owner is a super awesome guy, I really hope he reads the reviews and takes them to heart. read more

They forgot items and when I went back through the drive thru to get what I paid for, I had 4 people giving me dirty looks, no apology for forgetting my items, the lady tossed the bag at me and then slammed the drive thru window shut like I was an inconvenience for her and their crew. Absolutely loved everything. Staying at the Great wolf lodge we wanted something different. This place was perfect. My wife had the super salad, I had the chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich, and the kids had the chicken fingers and southwest wrap. Everyone said the fries were amazing, and the chicken was perfect, seasoned and fried to perfection. The staff was friendly and there is plenty of parking and seats.
