The food is tastes good, and fresh. No line to be seated. Love to eat does fried free tomatoes.

I am a fan of buffets and this was one of my first places I visited when I moved to Newnan and whenever I have visitors this is where I go. My favorites are the pulled pork, hushpuppies, chicken and dumplings, and the grilled chicken. There are more but these are the top favorites. It is busy and lively, always someone who wants to talk or a octogenarian couple who won't stop staring at you. I try to go early around 1600 and there is not usually a wait but it is a toss up if there will be crowds at 1600 and none at 1800 or vice versa. The price is exceptional and there is great service. It is so worth a visit when you are in Newnan, it is right by the highway too. read more

Great food for a great price! Greens, Fried green tomatoes, fried chicken, pulled pork, fruit's and veggies, mashed potatoes, Banana pudding, buttermilk pie, peach cobbler and that's just a few of the things that found there way to my plate. We stopped here based on the review on Yelp and I don't think that review said enough nice things. This is one of the best places for fresh home-cooked vegetables and meat. I realize some of them don't speak English but the ones who do either totally ignore that you have asked them a question and if they do answer a question it's a very rude answer and they act discussed that you even asked them a question! Inexpensive buffet in Newnan. They specialize in Southern style food. Yummy. The fried chicken seems to be everyone's favorite, but I like the oven roasted chicken. Tons of sides - mashed potatoes, greens, corn, collards, etc. The restaurant can be quite chaotic during busy times and long waits, you can see why once you smell the food! Lots of parking. Restrooms are clean and decent (especially for a busy family establishment). 4/12/2024 tried the Newnan location. Upon arrival 1st thought "Ooooh, the old Macaroni Grill location." Parking lot is fairly small...especially for a Friday early lunch crowd. I think it was around noon ish (11:50). had to circle building once to find a spot. walk in. Pay. Find your own seat. it's like looking for a needle in a haystack. or if you prefer musical chairs? well I wasn't too enthused with the layout. too many people trying to find their way through a square maze. traffic jams. . seems like the vegetable selection is definitely smaller than McDonough location.. And there is no way the vegetables listed on the daily menu was on that bar today. Anyway, it's Friday and obviously everyone was there for the Fish, Shrimp and Hushpuppies. I was too. But the disappointment came real fast! Fish. 1st pick looked like it had been in a battle somewhere between sea and the buffet. the flesh was pink and brown (barf). I picked another filet with hesitancy. I was going to tough it out. my stomach was turned and my brain was not convincing. The fish was from Asian catfish called Pangasius. It's nope!! well anyway the only thing I really liked was the hush puppies. they were light, corn kernel and onion. the slaw probably was good when it was fresh. Been going for years went 3 weeks ago it seems to have changed veggies don't seem to be seasoned the same bbq was greasy normally great decided to give another try yesterday (fish day) I was disappointed again fish was good shrimp fried hard hush puppies under undercooked and again veggies not seasoned. I'm not a fan of buffet's at all, but the buzz around town for good southern cooked food and desserts kept calling my name. Upon arriving, the feeling of buffet vibes had me skeptical...however after sinking my teeth into some of little bit of everything; fried chicken, fried green tomatoes, green beans, cabbage, yams, mac & cheese, and more. Your RIGHT...I over did it! I had no room for the fresh hot peach cobbler (which is what I came for) . The food tasted like big mama's cooking, good ole down south food. So yes, I'm going back when I don't feel like cooking my own southern meal. By far, service was excellent! The waitress served up our drinks quick and was on top of our refills, without us even asking. Establishment was clean, with a family quiet vibe. FYI, take out meals available. The Buffett has so many choices it's a good bet the entire family could find something to enjoy. The food was seasoned well, and the restaurant was clean. We went after a la crosse tournament. Wow! We're so glad we tried this place. We were pleasantly surprised with how good the food was. Everything from the BBQ chicken, to the mac and cheese, to the fried green tomatoes are delicious! You know how the quality of the food sometimes suffers at buffets? Well that's not the case here. Somebody is in the kitchen putting some love into this food. We had the pleasure of stopping at this gem while filling up our gas and was tired of fast food. I'm glad we did, because despite mixed reviews the place was great and reminded us of grandmas cooking. The service was great and very friendly. The chili was actually pretty good and the chicken was cooked perfectly. My wife and kiddos enjoyed the pies and macaroni. Buffet was about $10 for lunch and they have probably the best fried green tomatoes I've ever had. They have a pretty complete salad bar, dessert bar, vegetable bar and protein bar. Food is your typical southern country cooking. They provide disposable gloves so you can serve yourself. The server was very friendly and attentive. There's buffet and then there is this place which is a buffet but the food doesn't taste like buffet.
