If you're anything like me then Caputis is definitely a good bar for you. Of you want somewhere comfortable, divey, friendly people and good drinks. This is the place. They also have pretty decent food here! These are 3 things I like about this place: 1) it's a great atmosphere. You feel comfortable right away and you're not crowded against tons of other people. It's very spacious and because it's so chill it's rarely super packed or crowded. 2) the food is pretty good. It's quick service and real relaxed. Not super expensive at all. Typical bar food but it's good! 3) drinks are great! On Tuesday's they have amazing specials and drinks are super super cheap. You can't go wrong with that! A++++ Fish Fry. Fish lightly battered so as not to be grease soaked. Fries fresh cut and cooked crispy. Potato salad is superb with hint of fresh dill flavor. Cole slaw fresh made and perfect. Heard great things but the excuse of being short staffed is getting old. Went for dinner and not the bar so maybe I expected more. Waited 15 mins (and had to go to the bar to see if there was a waitress) before getting drink orders. App and dinner was a 25 min wait and everything came out together...except the fries which were another 10 mins. Food was good but definitely not worth the frustration of very slow service. during this crazy time, they really made it nice and cozy inside. there's plenty of TVs to watch and sectioned off seating. the staff was great! our waitress didn't seem to mind the kitchen staff allergy questions I had and she did it all with a smile on her face. they were pretty busy, but you couldn't tell because she was hustling! the food was AMAZING! Hubby got their chicken sandwich and wings and I got loaded fries and the spinach and artichoke dip. their homemade tortilla chips are delicious and so was the dip. the fruits were fresh and crispy. my hubby devoured the sandwich with little to say besides "mmmmmm......this is delicious" and "another order please". he was pretty full from the sandwich, but made sure to try some of the cajun wings, which he thoroughly enjoyed. we've only eaten there once before and we only got the loaded fries. they must have hired a new chef because the menu and the photos online make everything look delicious. we're just glad it tastes that way too! can't wait to go back and try their brick oven pizza! read more

I went out for ladies night with two of my girls, which is $8 for 5 drinks. We ordered Loaded Fries and Spinach and Artichoke Dip. Disappointed by both. The Fries were soggy and covered in something, we think was ranch dressing. (EWW!) I've never stood at a bar so long waiting to be served on IN MY LIFE... even downtown where the bar gets 5 people deep! Caputi's is your typical Buffalo dive bar. Nice open setting, dim lighting, and daily specials that always drag you in. Wednesdays is free billiards when you bring in a record, Thursday's 75 cent wings, etc. My boyfriend and I enjoy the hang out for playing darts and the cheap beer. They have daily/weekly rotating craft selections and their prices are pretty good. Have never eaten the food, but wing night always looks tempting! Plenty of seating indoor and there's the sidewalk out front if you smoke- not the greatest, but for the location what can ya do. TVs are scattered throughout the bar and always have the games on. Service is pretty decent. Always accommodating letting us samples new beer, but sometimes it's a wait when it's not busy. Overall if you live in Tonawanda and want a relaxing night at the bar, Caputi's a great option. read more

I usually come here after work for a drink or two because it's a lot more toned down than the bar next door. Not that there's less people. But it's better lit, a little bit more personable, and gives customers a little bit more room to breathe. Oh, and the wings are some of the best wings you'll get in the area with plenty of different options beyond your usual mild, medium, and hot. I highly recommend this place at any time. read more

I ordered a BLT. The food took quite some time to come out, and when it did finally come, my bacon was burnt to a crisp and inedible, and my french fries were ice cold. I mentioned it to the server who claimed the food was served to me as soon as it was ready, and there's no way it was cold (I guess I'm a liar?). She then told me I had to go back and confront the cook myself if I had a problem with my meal. I usually never complain, but in the rare maybe 3 occasions that I have, I have NEVER been told I had to go talk to the cook myself. I felt that was an unprofessional way to go about the situation, and I was still charged for half of the bill, on a meal that I did not eat. read more

We had a terrible experience, tonight. We arrived at 5:45, and had to wait to be seated. We waited for five minutes, and the bartender seated us. He informed us that the waitress and bartender were late. He gave us menus and told us that he would be back. We waited for 20 minutes, and saw the new bartender arrive and the original bartender leave. We did not see a waitress arrive, and the new bartender must not have been told we were waiting, so we left. More than 3 stars would be far too generous for this place. It is a good choice if you're looking to catch a game or go somewhere that has pool and darts but that's it. I'm sorry but this bar is disgusting and needs a serious cleaning. I'm all for the local dive but c'mon - it doesn't take much to pick up a mop or wipe a few tables off. They own most of the space in this plaza and the bar actually has 2 bars (the one in the rear opens late for larger crowds). The crowd is usually younger and you'll find many "regulars" in association with friends/owners or sponsored recreational groups. It's a shame because if they kept the place clean it wouldn't be all that bad. The staff is generally friendly and the drink specials certainly rally a good crowd on any given night. read more

Sunday's during the football games they offer $25 all you can consume at the bar plus one menu item. Still in disbelief on this offer however it stands, since I tested it Sunday. It was great. Oh yeah, Sam Adams, blue moon, and guiness are no longer considered craft beers. Stop charging for them. This is a dirty place, bartenders are typical for a run down establishment. As many other reviews have stated, Caputi's is a dive. If you come in here expecting a great wine list and fresh, local ingredients, you've picked the wrong spot. However, if you want to have a few simple drinks and some fried food in a VERY casual environment, then you might enjoy yourself at Caputi's. After just moving into the neighborhood, my husband and I randomly ended up here last Sunday. We arrived just before the Bills game began. Neither of us are really football fans, but we decided to stay to watch the game because Caputi's offers a ridiculously affordable football Sunday special: All you can drink + one menu item for $25/ person. I had a handful of Jack and diets along with a Sriracha chicken sandwich and fries. The drinks were not watered down at all and the sandwich was actually pretty delicious (or was it just all the Jack Daniels...?). Anyway, it ended up being a really fun afternoon. We met some regulars and the bartenders were friendly to us. It made us happy to find a fun bar in walking distance from our house! If you appreciate Caputi's for what it is-- a divey bar with a very lax dress code (on a bad day, I'd wear yoga pants here), good curly fries and cheap cocktails-- then you'll have a good time! read more

I have gone here for dinner a few times and found that the service was pretty good. I've never had to wait more than a few minutes for service. And the staff have all been friendly. The food is good "bar food", and the drink prices are enough to bring you in for Happy Hour. This is NOT a big, fancy eating establishment. It's your common, neighborhood pub with a comfortable, laid back feeling to it. A great place to just come in to relax and have a few cocktails with a couple of friends.. The food here is your standard pub fare, but blander. Cocktail wise they are very limited. They can't make many mixed drinks which was bad for my date since she does not care for beer. I went recently on a Saturday night and there were two female bartenders just staring at the cash register. Waited 10 minutes to get a beer and something for my date and they did not even look in our direction. It was not even busy, there were only a few patrons in their 50's at the bar. We left and went to the Deuce next door for a much more attentive bartender and a much more lively crowd. Caputi's is a local dive bar that could use some serious cleaning up. I was afraid to set my drink or purse down anywhere for fear of catching whatever disease might be lingering in the unwashed tables and chairs. I heard they serve food, but definitely would never order any. After seeing how they keep the bar area where everyone can see, I can only imagine what the kitchen must look like...ewe. I was in town visiting for Thanksgiving, and I went here with a bunch of college friends, on one of the girl's suggestions. Tuesday is ladies night, so drinks are really cheap. The front part of the restaurant more of a sports bar, with pool tables and TV's. There are a lot of tables around the bar where you can sit and hang out with friends. There is a back room that turns into a "club" at night complete with a DJ and club lighting. It was a Tuesday night, so it was really interesting to me that they were trying to pull the whole "club" scene off. We walked back there to check it out, there were about ten people standing back there, hanging around the bar. I left around 11:30, so who knows maybe the place actually picks up later in the night. I would imagine that people would have to get up for work the next day, but the crowd did seem younger, so maybe there were college students out and about. The DJ was good, playing a mix of top 40s and 90s club bangers. Basically, this place can be summed up as a dirty dive bar with cheap drinks and good music. Looks like a popular local watering hole, I'm sure about half the people in there were regulars. read more

Fairly similar to the deuce which is right next door. The crowd is a tad older than you'd find at the deuce though. It was also a little more expensive which I expected. Multiple dart boards and pool tables which was great. I didn't think it was too crowded the few times I stopped in but it took a while to get a drink anyway which I didn't love but it happens.
