    They mostly do repairs electrical repairs not as much audio friendly and gave me a referral to a couple places

    Great customer service and knowledgable but they are very pricey. you can get the same quality and lower prices and other places.

I was quoted $140 for the installation, but when I arrived, I was told there would be an additional $50 charge for parts. I wish this had been communicated upfront to avoid any surprises. They told me my car would be ready by 1:30 PM, but when I hadn't heard anything by 3:30 PM, I called to check in. They said they'd been trying to reach me, but I confirmed that my number was written correctly on the paperwork--it just hadn't been read properly. When I picked up my car, I noticed a few issues: * The satellite antenna was placed on top of my dash with visible wires, which didn't look very clean or professional. * A hole had been drilled near the dash for a charging wire that I didn't request, even though my car already has multiple outlets. * The biggest issue was that several features like my rear camera and steering wheel controls weren't hooked up, despite my car having the capability for them. When I called to ask about the missing features, I was told I'd need to purchase additional parts. I understand that some systems require extra components, but I would've appreciated more clear communication before the install, so I could make an informed decision. In the end, I decided to dispute the charge and will be taking my car to another installer to have the job completed properly. I'm glad the Bluetooth works, which was my main reason for upgrading, but I was hoping for a more professional and transparent experience overall.

After shopping around at a couple of other places, she decided to go with Car Stereo City. Emad is the man... he laid everything out. He presented several options, explaining the advantages and disadvantages of the brands, the features, and so forth. It came down to a choice between Pioneer and Kenwood. She ended up going with the Kenwood. Emad explained what they would do and gave her a nice deal. He provided an estimate of how long the work would take, and it was actually completed a little earlier than expected. They kept the car clean, no trash or debris anywhere in sight, and nothing on the floor mats. The installation was nice and clean (see photo). Emad took the time to show her how everything worked and answered any/all questions she had. The shop itself is very easy to find (on Claremont Mesa Boulevard near the 163 freeway) and the show room is super clean. They have a lot of products laid out and you can ask for a demo. Overall, we had an excellent experience here. Service was exceptional and this shop is super clean with a huge selection of products. Whatever you need for your vehicle, they can do... security, audio, cameras (dash and backup), navigation, tinting, and more. They have a nice website with photo galleries and other information... CarStereoCitySanDiego.com. This will be our family's go to place for car audio and other services. I plan to return in the near future to upgrade speakers and take care of other things. Both owners are lame and shady…read more Wanted to love my experience and support this business (both locations) but the lack of professionalism with things as basic as scheduling makes me wish I could go back in time and just find someone else to do it. This review is for both locations (City Heights and National City, ran by Hector and Jose respectively). Initial appointment was for NC location for their summer special of full tint + sun strip + car detail. The process took NC team 4 hours only for them to not put the sun strip nor actually detail the car. Jose scheduled me to go to the CH location for both the following week to make it more convenient for me AND I even confirmed with their detailing guy to make sure everyone knew what day/time to be there (9am on a Saturday). A week later, I get there only to see that the shop isn't even open and no one is there.... I call Hector and he says we're on our way, gets there and opens shop, only to tell me it'll take a few hours and we can't guarantee the detail will be done today. I wait there another 3 hours for them to put in JUST the sun strip and last minute someone is able to detail my car. For the many inconveniences Hector says he'll grant me two free details to use whenever in the future, chill, or so I thought. Month goes by and I try to use one of the free details. Over the span of three weeks trying to call or text Hector with sparse answers but promises to get a detail to me, Hector stops responding. I call the shop and get told he's away on a family emergency. I call the NC location to see if they can help and after 3 days of calling them, Jose finally answers and sets me up with an appointment the following weekend to get a detail. Get there right on the scheduled time only to find that the shop is closed again and NC shop isn't answering my calls. Funny enough, I call them from a private number and it's answered immediately. Jose says "oh yeah they'll be there in 10 minutes". Detail guy shows up only to service another car and has to call ANOTHER detail person to come detail my car. I have now wasted a total of 10+ hours in time, gas, and money on my weekends over the span of 2 months for what was supposed to be a tint and a detail service. Lack of the ability to do a basic service, yanking the chain for time and scheduling, multiple no shows, lies to my face about promises, and even resorting to ghosting my calls is laughable, a display of incredibly piss-poor professionalism, and a blatant attempt to stiff a customer for no reason. I, anyone who asks, will never give these guys any further business. I want a refund lol.
