Tom didn't actually wind up buying my car for me ... what he did do was get back to me quickly after researching the deal I found myself (new Kia). Although his reply was that I found myself a great deal and should grab it, he was generous with his time in answering a few questions I had ... no charge, just as stated on his website for this outcome. I hate car shopping. But with 4 kids I outgrew my car. Faced with buying a new car I promptly called Tom. Not only did I get the car I wanted at a great price I also got top value for my trade in; even with a bad carfax we weren't aware of. This review is long overdue. When you have "tell the world how awesome Tom from Car Concierge is" on your to do list, you know it is worth the time and effort. During an absolutely insane time of year, I found myself needing assistance for a family member in need. The family member was unable to accomplish the task of finding a car independently and needed honest and sincere guidance to assist with an unexpected accident and with limited funds. This situation could have easily led my family member to be taken advantage of, but we found Tom. There are no words for this man and his business. I did not think that integrity, kindness, intelligence and a solid moral compass existed all in one package, but Tom proved me wrong. Not only did he move into immediate action to find my family member a car, he took the time to carefully explain and guide him every step of the way. While he is a solid business man who is excellent at his craft, you can see even more so, he is a good human being. I would recommend anyone and everyone to use Tom. Tom has the full skillset needed to assist someone with a vehicle purchase. From having a breadth of knowledge on most makes and models to the savvy necessary to interface with dealerships on your behalf, he's a good resource for virtually anything. As someone who's car-savvy in the technical realm and does virtually all of his own maintenance, getting assistance for something automobile-related is unusual for me. But when my girlfriend's SUV was totaled (she was fine, thankfully) we needed to acquire a new vehicle sooner rather than later. Tom's patience and thoroughness through the whole process was quite welcome, as well as the ability to speak candidly with him. Aside from the usual perks he's known for (interfacing w/ dealerships so you don't have to, haggling on your behalf, searching for deals, etc.), it was also good to have him around as a quick reference to also know what was and wasn't a reasonable price for a feature/warranty/etc. It saved us a good bit of time vs. having to look up typical prices and comparing the details. That alone was worth it in my opinion, and it's ridiculous to think of the large amount of time he put in relative to his fee. Above all else, Tom's willingness to accommodate his customers is top-notch. He was still helping me out for the week he had to travel to Europe halfway through my "case", as it were. This was my second lease through Tom. Three years ago, I stumbled upon his services through a mutual friend. He was so pleasant and friendly and got me a SWEET deal on an Acura MDX. It would be an understatement to say that I do not know a lot about cars. And as a first-time car buyer, I was very intimidated by the thought of walking into a dealership to even test drive a vehicle, let alone negotiate pricing. My sister and father referred me to Tom Paolella after finding him through a Google search and being very satisfied with their experiences. From the moment I spoke with him on the phone, I felt like Tom was part of the family. He is extremely knowledgeable about the auto industry and never made me feel like I was wasting his time, even with my most mundane questions about safety features and interior fabrics. He really listened to my priorities and made excellent suggestions based on my budget. It's almost like he knew which cars I would like based on my personality. Seriously. His intuition is spot on. Tom also put my trepidations about local auto dealerships to rest. He arranged all of my test-drive appointments, researched inventory for the vehicles I was interested in, and negotiated all pricing. When my girlfriend and I started looking for a car, we did our research, but we still had a LOT of questions. Should we lease or buy used? Which dealerships were trustworthy? Should we hold out for a used car still under warranty? What about the CPO stamp? How could we tell a gamble from a safe bet? Tom is an incredible advocate and negotiator. He listened to us, gave some suggestions and came back with a list of available vehicles matching our needs. When we settled on a few, (we were firm on a certified pre-owned vehicle) he arranged dealer test drives and the dealer reps were happy to treat us as their own customers (a testament to Tom) and devoted the time needed. After we settled on a vehicle, Tom laid the ground work with the dealer and, when the dealer started acting like a typical dealer (changing the terms, refusing to clean up some dings, trying to sell us undercoating, etc...) Buying a car can be a major expense and a major pain. I'm a terrible negotiator and I hate the back and forth. Tom was able to handle all of the negotiation and got me in the car I wanted and the price I wanted. I talked to Tom on Tuesday, he was making calls by Wednesday and I had a new car in my Garage by 2:00 Friday. Total time at the dealer was 90 minutes and half of that was going through the tech options. Tom was friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable right from the gate. There were initial hiccups at the dealership that I test drove at that frustrated me a bit, but after test driving I was certain with the car I wanted. Tom provided me with a number I was comfortable with and I returned a few days later to the same dealership to sign the paperwork. After some initial confusion regarding the payment (and whether or not I was rolling remaining payments in), I was able to negotiate into an upgraded model for only $3 more a month than the base model I was quoted from Tom. I was happy! You are still sitting at the dealership for 2+ hours signing paperwork as well as negotiating any remaining payments etc so you're not saving much time if that's important to you. Getting some guidance and insight from Tom was extremely worthwhile, but I expected more in terms of negotiation and support in the final stages of the process in relation to what you are paying for the concierge service. read more

I was looking for a Lexus RX350 and was getting a bit frustrated that I couldn't find what I considered a good leasing deal. At every dealership, I was told that they wanted to move cars and I would get a great deal. Nonsense! After visiting 3 Lexus dealerships in the area and getting nowhere, my son-in-law, who had used Car Concierge Plus about a year ago to get a Honda Accord, suggested I speak with Tom.
