We purchased our 2019 BMW 330i xDrive three years ago, and unfortunately it has become an expensive and disappointing ownership experience. We have dealt with multiple issues, including the xDrive sensor, gas-cap release, and now the air-conditioning system. For a vehicle of this age and what we expected from BMW, the number of problems has been frustrating. After experiencing these issues, we started researching the vehicle and its BMW B48 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine more closely. What concerned us even more was firsthand advice we received from a BMW mechanic. He specifically told us he would never recommend buying another vehicle with the B48 engine because of the number of problems he personally sees with them, and that vehicles with this engine make up a significant portion of the BMW service work he deals with. Hearing that directly from someone who works on these vehicles certainly did not give us confidence in keeping the car long-term. What really upset me, though, was the response when I explained all of these concerns to the salesman. He didn't seem particularly concerned about everything we had already gone through with the vehicle. His main response was, "What can I do to get you in a new car?" I wasn't looking for another sales pitch. I was looking for BMW and Circle BMW to stand behind the vehicle and acknowledge the experience we've had. If Circle BMW genuinely wants to keep us as customers, there is a way to make this right. Buy back our current BMW at a fair value that takes these issues into consideration and give us a truly exceptional deal on a new vehicle. We would consider staying with BMW if Circle BMW showed us that it stands behind its customers and is willing to earn our confidence and business back. Until then, based on our experience, I cannot recommend this vehicle or dealership. read more

Years back BMW had a recall for a small piece on the radiator. I drove back and forth every weekend from Westchester, NY to Belmar, NJ. Called to make sure the could do it that day. Still remember it was 100*. Dropped it off. Picked up by a friend to take me to Belmar. I get home, a message saying they couldn't do the recall unless I put in a new radiator. Told them I'd come the next day. Knowing they were full of shit. I went right back to see the supposed leak. There was no leak after a 1 hr. drive in 100* heat. And they took a gallon of Prestone antifreeze I kept in the trunk. Dad taught me young, duck tape, extra belts, tooL box etc. in a box in my trunk. Grew up a "backyard mechanic" so I was taught young. They parked way in the back not expecting me 'till the next day. He tried to not have me walk to my own car, I told him I want to see the leak. No leak and they put the gallon of antifreeze in the back seat as if I had a prior problem. I've lived a long time, that was one of the slimiest things I'd ever heard concerning mechanics. I know a lot of people down here in Jersey that know Circle are slime balls. Nice to see they're still screwing people. Only posting this as a great friend just had an issue with a different slimy mechanic and posted that for her. They will always try to screw females. I'm not a big poster but this type of behavior goes on so much it's a shame there are always going to be grifters. A good mechanic is like a doctor. Gold! read more

I am sharing my experience with having my 2017 X5 serviced at Circle BMW in Eatontown, NJ, so readers can make a more informed decision before engaging with this business. I brought my X5 in to have: * Sunroof air deflector replaced. * Sunroof drain cleaned (the car was leaking through the sunroof during heavy rain showers). I sat down with a "service advisor" at Circle BMW, whose role appears to be focused on selling additional services at the dealership. My car was taken in to cost out the service. An estimate of $750 was sent back to me later that morning, which I approved. Later that afternoon, I received a text stating that after the service technician did a vehicle inspection, he found the following recommended services: * Replace the rear brakes: $672. * Replace the valve cover: $2,099 (due to hairline cracks causing an oil leak). Cost Breakdown * Original Repair: $750 (agreed upon). * Additional Services Recommended: $2,771. * Total Cost: $3,547. Despite the high cost of labor and the overselling of services, I initially had no major complaints, as this is somewhat expected when dealing with a dealership's service department. The real issue arose when I picked up my car. The tire pressure monitor (TPM) was malfunctioning, giving me a beeping alert and posting a warning message: "TPM Malfunction." This problem clearly occurred while the car was at Circle BMW service. When I texted the service advisor to arrange for a fix, I was informed that it would cost $199.95 for a full diagnostic on the TPM. This was disappointing as I expected them to resolve this new issue without additional charges, showing that selling services took priority over customer satisfaction. One positive takeaway: I can scratch BMW off my list of EVs to buy this year. If returning to a dealership for service is part of the package when choosing an EV maker, I'll pass on BMW. read more

Top of the line experience at Circle BMW today 7/18/23. Was greeted promptly, even tho I was 45 min late to my appointment. The checkin was smooth and Jesse the service advisor that checked me in was super helpful, suggested some great incentives to take care of my 2015 JCW roadster, offered to wash it . Described what services would be preformed and total cost. I waited for my oil and spark plugs to be changed it took about an hour and a half. The dealerships customer lounge is very clean and welcoming, including the receptionist greeting me and my pup Cinnamon offering a complimentary waste container with bags. I had a great double espresso and some snacks. Checked out some awesome new vehicles and by the time I was done looking around my car service was complete. payment was easy, I forgot my wallet and they take Apple Pay. followed by a inspection video of the undercarriage, hoses, suspension, breaks and fluid levels. Walked in there with my brother to look for a new M4 to lease as my current lease was being returned shortly. Me and my family are loyal BMW customers and were referred by a friend to try out this dealership, which proved to be a waste of time. After walking around for 30 minutes and still not approached by a salesperson, we decided to ask a salesperson about the car we were interested in. We then asked for prices and if a test drive is possible, and were answered back very rudely saying "no! Nice try". When we then told her that we were looking to purchase the car within the next week, her attitude made a complete 360 and was gladly looking up pricing. I get that we are young and might have had previous bad experiences with young people trying to test drive cars for fun and fool around, but that is no way to treat a potential customer, especially after being very specific on the vehicle we wanted and that we wanted to purchase the vehicle as soon as possible. Completely unacceptable! After having this whole ordeal, we were then told a price much higher than usual, specifically mentioning we are BMW Loyalty members, and were then met with "oh, we don't have this car in stock and don't know when we are getting any more". We were taken back by the lies told to us and told her we are taking our business elsewhere and left the dealership. We went instead to BMW of Edison, where we were treated right away with respect and got the vehicle from them for an amazing price, far better than what Circle had to offer. I went to circle BMW in February 2022 to enquire abour ordering a 2023 X5 E45. was told that it's too early and that they would put me on a list for ordering when ordering opens with BMW and they would sell me that SUV at MSRP since the cars were on allocation. I would need to leave a deposit and they would honor the price. This was all written on their sales order form. They called me in June 2022 and said ordering was now open. Made an appointment with my salesman and went over the car to build to spec. He came back after speaking with his manager and said they want $15,000 over MSRP but they would now only want $5000.00 over MSRP. I would not buy a car from a dealership that would not honor their commitment. I went to another dealer and ordered the SUV for a little less than MSRP. read more

The service and attention to detail was impressive. He even found a pair of sunglasses in a compartment I'd forgotten existed on my old car and made sure I had them. These people really bent over backward to make me drive away happy in my new BMW. Am I picky? Yes I am. Do I ask 5000 questions? Yup.. and they answered every one with patience and sincerity.
