After looking at the car they let me know that I really didn't need to replace my brakes yet but they would do an oil change and drive the car just to make sure there's nothing wrong. I greatly appreciate their honesty and highly recommend this shop. Side note - I brought my dog along with me and they even offered to give him a bowl of water while we waited.

Then, I discovered that I was charged $600 for a repair that my high-schooler fixed in 15 minutes (clogged condensation line). So, I switched to another shop on Black Rock Turnpike. Multiple bad diagnoses, but the repairs were done right. Yet, they kept charging me $100-200 more than they quoted me... Finally, I found Elvis (the owner) through my church here at EZ Automotive. What a difference! You can tell very quickly that he is knowledgeable and he is a fantastic communicator (teacher-like). He had me hold off on one of the repairs that the Fairfield garage told me to do (which would have been $1,000). Through friends, I know he is amazingly honest and this is reinforced by our discussions about my vehicles. His location in Bridgeport can feel a little off the beaten path for the Fairfield crowd, but if you can see past this, you will not want to go to anyone else. An honest mechanic running a shop that clearly loves fixing vehicles and doesn't mind explaining exactly what he's doing.
