I normally come to this place of business to get my CT Emissions Test. They are very professional and take care of you right away. I've probably been here at least 5 or 6 times and the longest I have had to wait is probably 30-40 minutes. They also offer other services as well like tires and any other automotive services. The shop is clean and friendly. Their waiting room is always very clean and offer a tv to keep you entertained as you wait. As long as I have to do my Emissions Test this will be my go to spot. read more

Drove my truck to Firestone Complete Autocare in Bridgeport, CT (300 John St, Bridgeport, CT 06604) after I had an issue with the front right brakes and didn't want to drive too far. After leaving it with the shop for 48 hours was called by Julio (Service Manager) and told all 4 calipers were "seized" - no idea how i managed to drive it there if all 4 calipers were seized.. LIES, Not the case there was metal on metal from the front right ONLY - pads and rotors would have sufficed. Some background one caliper was new inside the last 6 months still under guarantee with the core currently on my work bench at home. They advised I needed x4 calipers, x4 rotors, and all new pads and fluids all around to the tune of over $2k. When I show up to pick the vehicle up and asked for the old calipers to be returned, with me happy to pay the additional core cost there and given one was under still warranty I was told NO and that they had conveniently been sent out and were no longer on site?! Nothing they could do... LIED TO MY FACE. If I had been given the old calipers I'm sure me compressing the piston would have proved in-fact they were not at all seized and replacing all 4 was completely unnecessarily. I had an appointment with Firestone and got there early to be told I did not have an appointment. I was told this by the same person I made the appointment with over ther phone. After years of being a loyal customer of this Firestone location, I will Not be returning. My normal customer experiences include, scheduling appointments and having that work done with recommendations for additional maintenance or recommending other items to be addressed. Today, I was given the "treatment" by Bill who handled my simple tire appointment and turned into a laundry list of dire other items that needed to be taken care of or I would not be safe driving. He was condescending and his approach was way over the top. Interestingly, I watched the other gentleman at the other counter tell his customer he and others would not be safe on the road driving his car without having his break line replaced. Possibly the corporate office has recommended this strategy to capture work and additional money. I personally prefer to keep a maintenance schedule of needed work so my car will stay running smoothly, but lying out-right to your loyal customer base is not the way. Today Ramone who normally handles my appointments and recommends work left for the day, so I was unfortunately checked out by this overbearing, untrustworthy guy who was determined that I wouldn't be leaving there without spending additional money. I agreed to make a future appointment the following week for breaks, rotors and calipers. Incidentally this same work has been recommended before and done. If I can put -1000 stars I would. I went in to be serviced for a wheel alignment last week and after making an appointment I came back ON TIME and they still supposedly couldn't see me. The website allows you to book for services up till 5pm.. the workers are stating that they cannot service my car at that time. This is the second time I try to keep service at this Firestone. I never heard of a wheel alignment taking up 2-3 hours... I don't know what kind of lies these people feed you but a wheel alignment ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT take 2-3 hours. A service I know takes up to 15-20 mins max a hour if your car is really fucked up so plzz. Save the bs for some else do not go here.... read more

This firestone deserves ZERO stars. Such a rip off. I needed to plug my tire and I called in advance just to feel out the price. They said $22. That was truly pushing it when in Norwalk at Curry's it costs less than 10 bucks. I'm at work and wanted to take care of this issue during work hours. So I take my car over to Firestone and just to confirm I ask for a price and they said 31 dollars. I told them that is RIDICULOUS! Reason being, my tires are low profile. WTF! If this is indeed how they work perhaps informing a potential customer over the phone saying it depends on your tires and it can range from 20 to 40 dollars. They are thieves and I feel as though they prey on woman. This my second experience and I will not return for a third whatsoever. The first time I went for an oil change and they said I needed an alignment. I had just bought the car and it wasn't pulling to the left. Brought my 2019 car to the Stratford, CT Firestone shop for a routine oil change. Upon the conclusion of the oil change I was informed that everyting was in good working order and that I was all set. A few weeks later my check engine light went on. Checked underneath the car and saw some oil residue. Not knowing what was going on, I called AAA to tow the car to the dealer. AAA repairman popped the hood and said that the oil cap wasn't replaced properly and that there was oil all over the engine. The dealer service shop checked the engine and informed me that there was less than one quart of oil remaining in the engine. It was the opinion of both the AAA repairman and the dealership service shop that clearly the mistake was made by the technician performing my recent oil change - Firestone. Not properly securing the oil cap following my oil change had caused this massive damage. I was informed that if I had attempted to drive the car the engine would have seized. After spending over $900 to repair the damage, I brought the receipts to the Firestone repair shop expecting to be compensated in some way for their mistake. The manager, James, informed me that he would see what he could do. After waiting more than 6 weeks I was just informed that Firestone has decided that I wasn't entitled to any sort of reimbursement because I didn't bring my vehicle back to them. I ask you, if a doctor had misdiagnosed a routine injury on your child would you bring your child back to this same doctor? The answer is clearly no. I would avoid the Stratford Firestone shop at all costs. If they can't be trusted to properly replace your oil cap, can they be trusted to perform any other more complicated repairs. Plus if they make a mistake, their policy is that only they will decide if it's true. Good luck having them determine that. Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!! read more

This place should be avoided at all costs. Had noises coming from my brakes and they hand me a quote saying I need new rotors/calipers/pads because my "rear wheels are seized, meaning they are barely turning and it's due to bad calipers" Took it back to where I purchased it and it did need new pads and rotors but not calipers. Went from 1200 to 500 and everything is working fine. They will find things that aren't broken and tell you to replace them. Seems to be the norm with most auto repair shops in Bridgeport from my point of view. read more

They took my van for wheel alignment and one tire replacement. The tire was replaced but wheel alignment was not done because the van was too long and didn't fit on their machine. I was supposed be told this before they took my car in and not after they replaced the tire. I would not let them do any work at all under these circumstances. Nobody even called me about this issue . When i picked the car up after 3 hours it was in the parking lot on the side unlocked. I was upset as i have a van full of tool and also i had my gps inside and other stuff. They just said, nothing ever gets stolen ,we always do it like this.Very unprofessional . The customer service people were always friendly and the quality of service are as good as it gets.
