They now have a bigger facility, nice customer lounge with TV and free cold beverages. They recently got a new logo, and business is booming. All their mechanics are ASE certified, and they know what they are doing. I have three vehicles that I have serviced here regularly for brakes, tune ups, air conditioning, suspension and occasionally oil changes. In one of my vehicles I needed a new engine and they gave me three options depending on your budget: Junk yard used engine with 30 day warranty, reconditioned engine with one year warranty or new engine with three year warranty. I opted for the new engine. My vehicle now runs very good and have had no other issues with the engine since the engine was replaced. Their prices are very very reasonable compared to other mechanics. I always shop around and they almost always come in below what other shops charge. I trust them and I won't go anywhere else. They told me the diagnosis would cost $110.00, it would take an hour or so to check the suspension and the charge would be credited towards repairs that would be scheduled at a later date. When I arrived a few minutes early for my scheduled appointment time they asked if I could leave my vehicle for the weekend as they didn't have time for my scheduled appointment. They tried to explain that they had a technician leave a week before they made my appointment. No phone call before I got there to advise me of their problems. It's apparent that customer service is not one of their top priorities. I'm going to steer clear of this place and definitely would not recommend them to anyone!

We were not driving the van as we were having huge snowstorms and the van was covered with 10" of snow. My husband and I are retired and did not have to go anywhere in the van. We also have 3 other vehicles that have 4 wheel drive. I finally took the van back on Feb 4th, and found it had a faulty valve stem which Boyd fixed. At that time they told me I needed the right lower ball joint replaced for $822. They did not mention that when I bought the tires. I went to buy the ball joint and was told that Boyd could not have done a front end alignment with a bad ball joint. I asked Boyd about it and they said that was correct, but acted like I ruined it after I got the alignment. That's when I went to check the mileage on the van. We usually put about 2500-3000 miles per year on our van. The speedometer said that we had put almost 600 miles on the van in less than 3 weeks while we had not been driving the van. They had listed the mileage as more than 500 miles less than we had started with. They said that was a typo, but was it? If they take 500 miles off of every customer's mileage, then if you have a problem with your tires, they will say that you have put 500 miles more on the tires than you actually did. They agreed to refund my money for the front end alignment, but it has been over 2 months and every time I call them it's the same story. The check will be coming from the main office. It should have been here in a week. It's been 8 weeks and no check. Make sure you che k your mileage before you buy tires and do not ask them for a front end alignment.

(Note: there is NTB, Firestone, Discount Tire, and 2 more major chain locations in our town.). We left the vehicle for the day an picked it up with new tires. The price seemed competitive (approximately $800 for set). The initial sale was reasonable & came with "free rotation". After the first 10k miles, I called for my free rotation and they could conveniently schedule it 2 weeks out & leave it (obviously "convenient" is used sarcastically). Clearly they didn't want you to use this service. So we opted to get the tires rotated during oil changes in lieu of the inconvenient option earlier noted. After 45,000 miles of the 80,000 mile tire (tread life limited warranty), we take it in to review the difference in wear & they don't want to warranty anything because we didn't rotate the tires. When we stated we rotated elsewhere & can produce the records, they replied "you can bring in the records, but it doesn't mean they rotated them". Really?! Side note: we got a hole in one that needed repaired shortly after purchase & took it in for repair. Their response to that was "we will fix the first one, but after that you have to pay for it." $800 and you can't swing $0.49 for a patch that takes 5 minutes to fix. With 5+ competitors in town, I would think they would embody the hometown vibe and give top notch quality service to sustain, but that's just me. Need tires? Then pick one of the other 5 that may support their product.

I dropped off my car here for a diagnostic concerning a fluid leak. The next morning I received a…read morecall back, assuring me the cause of the leak was a simple loose oil drain plug and oil filter, the issue was totally fixed, and it was no longer leaking. I picked my car up to find, after only 30 minutes of being home, that there was still a leak. I called and the man said it was "residual" and to run it through a car wash and it would be fine. I did as he instructed, but it continued leaking. I took it back to them that same day, and when they looked at it again they said it "looks like" the leak is coming from the oil filter, but likely wasn't the filter itself, rather it was the part the filter connects to on the engine. They were willing to replace that part for $500, and when I asked "but you don't know if that's actually going to fix the leak?" he said no. I spent $75 for the "diagnostic", $22 for a car wash, plus about $50 in Uber rides over the course of 24 hours and still never got an actual diagnosis for the leak. These guys are willing to load up the parts cannon (with your money, of course) and just start shooting. Biggest waste of time and money. Do not take your car here unless you are willing to spend entirely too much for them to only guess what might be wrong with your car, instead of simply cleaning the engine, adding some dye to the oil and looking to see where the leak is coming from - otherwise known as performing a proper diagnostic for an oil leak. To make matters worse, I also found a few things missing from my car after I left. It only cost me $50 to replace what was taken, but still, not a good look. It's also worth mentioning that when I took my car back to them for a second attempt at a proper diagnostic, I overheard a conversation between the man I dealt with through this process and another guy who was working there. They didn't realize I had come in yet, and the door between the lobby and the garage was left wide open so I overheard the one say he was going to "bring some of those pre rolls" and I'm assuming they were referring to pre rolled marijuana cigarettes, as I am not familiar with any other type of "pre rolls" that would make sense in the context of that particular conversation. I will never take my car to this or any AAMCO ever again. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a large, well known company I previously thought of as reputable, and it was also my worst experience with any mechanic, ever.

DO NOT GO TO THIS BUSINESS! They are shady, and unprofessional, and try to take advantage of you!…read more On April 10, 2020 my wife took her Chevy Tahoe to Dave's Automotive right next door because the vehicle was shaking from under the hood while driving. Dave's advised that it MAY be something with the transmission, and they don't do transmission work, but they recommended that she go to Aamco right next door (across the parking lot). She went next door, and Aamco charged $45 for a diagnostic. They drove the vehicle and came back and said that there were leaks in the transmission, some gears were slipping, and metal shards in the transfer case/gearbox. They gave a quote of $3300.00 for a rebuilt transmission. We brought the truck home and put it in the garage while we were trying to figure out where to come up with $3300.00 and contemplating just getting another vehicle. I then remembered, one of my fraternal brothers owns a transmission shop (since 1987). I reached out to him to have him take a look at it. I took it to him on April 17,2020 and after driving it on I-71 for 4 exits at 80 MPH, he immediately diagnosed that the shaking wasnt from the transmission. He drove it back to his shop and looked up underneath at the transmission and said the transmission was fine and looked great (no leaks). He then diagnosed that the shaking was likely from a misfire. He recommended changing the spark plugs & wires. He personally couldn't replace the spark plugs and wires because he strictly does transmissions. Today April 20th, I had a mechanic family member replace the spark plugs and wires. I bought the OEM plugs & wires, plus I paid the mechanic. Total spent: $140.00! Problem solved. Truck is now riding like new! Also today, my wife and I went back to Aamco to lodge a complaint. The young fella at the desk said he was the manager (I forgot his name). We proceeded to tell him what happened. He kept saying, the transmission is gonna go out unless we do something about the leaks and metal shards. I told him that I took it elsewhere and it was diagnosed by a transmission specialist with over 30 years experience who said that nothing is wrong with the transmission. He kept saying it was. I advised him that he knows good and damn well that the NEVER diagnosed it, and just saw my wife come in alone, and saw dollar signs! This is absolutely pathetic and unprofessional! Another woman in the lobby while we were there said she brought her car in 2 months ago because it was shaking and $600.00 later, she's having the same exact problem. She said it was still shaking the same day she picked it up. At that time they said she needed a different part and would fix it when the part came in. That was 2 months ago and her car still isn't fixed! There's not an auto parts store in America where you wait 60 days + for a part, unless it's a classic car. Her car couldn't have been no more than 6-7 yrs old! This place is shady! THE WORST BUSINESS PRACTICES IN ALL OF CENTRAL OHIO! Not one time did this "manager" apologize or offer the $45.00 back for the OBVIOUS misdiagnosis! He just kept "defending the diagnosis that was given"! But don't worry, I got a really big and loud mouth! I will be placing reviews here on Google and Yelp. I will be sharing this horrible customer experience via all social media platforms and my over 5,000 followers. I will also lodge a formal complaint with the BBB, the Reynoldsburg City Attorney, and Reynoldsburg City Council, as I have a personal friend who currently sits on the City Council. But with an aging car that is starting to get leaks and other wear and tear, I knew it was high time to finally get an inspection. Fortunately, Yelp recommended Tom & Jerry's, and after taking it in and getting some substantial service done, I couldn't be happier with my experience. One of the great things about T&J's is that they text you a link to your inspection report, which lists urgent, not-so-urgent, and recommended items to address...and pictures of all of the problem areas. I was actually quite relieved that my car's main leak was from cracked transmission lines and not an actual failing transmission. Even if I didn't have some basic mechanical knowledge, it would have been obvious from the pictures that the lines needed to be replaced. Likewise, images of battery life, ride quality, and other factors all helped me opt to fix the more urgent service items. When talking to the technician over the phone, he never tried to sell me on the less urgent items (such as a loose sway bar), and the prices quoted were very reasonable. Ultimately, I spent $1200 on four tires, a new battery, a replaced passenger mirror (labor only -- I'd brought in the part), an oil change, the inspection itself, and the replacement transmission lines. It would be an exaggeration to say my car feels new, but there's something to be said for the peace of mind that it's been thoroughly inspected, and the key issues have been addressed. Given that I was dreading having to potentially shop for a new car, I'm especially glad for T&J's service. One minor negative that is nonetheless worth mentioning is that they don't have much of a waiting area, and there aren't any decent places to sit for awhile nearby (the Starbucks, five blocks away, is drive-thru only!). After wandering around the area for awhile, I wound up just getting a Lyft home. Not a big deal at all, but just be prepared to drop off your car and have a pick-up option ready.
