After not ever speaking to a salesman I was a little worried that I was being stung along but was assured the car was avalible, encouraged to provide credit info, and even sent a CARFAX on the car. After showing up from out of state I told "the car must have been sold in the last 18 hours". While I can't know for sure, this felt very much like a bait and switch where they tried to sell me a lesser car. Scammers and liars! Flew to NY from out of state to buy a BMW X3 these guys advertised on Autotrader. The car was not ready when I arrived and was not even safe to drive... needed all new brakes. They made me wait 8 hours all day long while their mechanic replaced the brakes. Should have been smart and left right then made mistake of following through with the purchase. Couple months later turned out this car was a lemon... all kinds of shit wrong with it electrical failures, module failures, but most significantly needed a new steering rack for over $3000!!! My fiancé was researching vehicles at European Masters and was approved for a 2013 Mercedes, Darryl was the representative that assisted in the sale. When my fiancé was ready to get the car, Darryl showed a different vehicle other than what my fiancé was approved/promised. He then went on to say that vehicle is no longer in the garage after we traveled all the way from Brooklyn and he'd have to upgrade us for a 2014 which'll be more money and would require a co-signer despite my fiancé's good credit being ran down. In hindsight that was an immediate . I then decided to co-sign for the upgraded 2014 Mercedes with Darryl's promise that my fiancés name would've been on the financed agreement and then later receiving the TITLE with ONLY my name on it. I STRESSED I DO NOT WANT A CAR and I won't be held liable or responsible for anything having to do with this vehicle. Again, come to find out, my name was the only one on the loan with financing bank and car title. This place is a scam they'll run your credit several times, without your consent after consenting for it to be ran not more than once. DO NOT GO HERE. My Credit was in the mid 700's until I got here. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. When I reviewed my credit report it was lowered drastically. Short story - Make sure the sales person not only verbally commits but also writes down and signs a "final price" agreement before you sit down with the finance person. What a waste of time. Long story - After visiting multiple dealers, my family decided to purchase a vehicle from this company. The main reason why we chose this dealership was because the sales rep appeared to be genuine and was professional throughout the negotiation process. We ended at a price and he said he would check with management. Since it was Sunday, people had left (mind you, he was busy with another client so we waited over an hour to speak to him but that was ok because we liked the guy) and we understood there were holidays coming up, we said we would gladly wait until Wednesday for the final answer and pick up the car on Friday. Tuesday I received a call from the rep. He said the car would be ready by Friday. I asked "Oh, we are confirmed at the final price?" The rep confirmed yes. I also asked if the small dent on the body and the minor liquid accumulation issues were resolved. He again said yes. Everything would be done for us by Friday and since he would not be there, he wanted to make sure everything would run as smoothly as possible. Wednesday - My dad goes back to the dealership, sits down with the rep to reconfirm everything. The rep yeses him again but unfortunantely did not initial anything in writing. Friday - We get there as early as possible to sign the papers and pay for the car. The finance person said the figure we thought we were going to pay was not quoted in the paperwork our rep had provided. We spent over an hour trying to figure out why there was such a miscommunication between us, the sales rep and the dealership. We asked to see the car. The dent is still there and the "mystery liquid", we were reassured it was not oil but condensation from the a.c., was still there. We were told the dent would be fixed after the car was purchased while the rep said it was going to be fixed before Friday. Waste of our time and waste of the dealership's time. I purchased a car here with the promised that I was gonna be able to upgrade it in six months, eight months later I go back after $6k down and a total payments on this car of nearly $4k and barley using the car to not put milage on it for the trade in purpose, to find out that the car that they sold me eight months later the car depreciated $14k meaning I'm outside down and loss $14000.00. My overall experience with European Masters was great. The treatment that I received was good and people I dealt with were courteous. My buying experience was very thorough and there was no pressure to buy. Darryl (sales personnel) was very helpful. He called and checked up on me every chance while my C300 I was waiting for my insurance!. So yea overall the sales part was good. The bad part they said I would get my navigation chip through my mail and it's been a month and I still have no update on it. The person who I had to coordinate with (Nicole) apparently the service manager does not answer my calls nor does she reply back to her emails or voicemails , I've been trying to reach her manager Norman and the standard reply I get is he's not at his desk. Make sure you get all what the car comes with before or during the delivery of the car once you drive your car outside off the store you are not going to get what you are promised...!!! I went into the showroom yesterday (8/19/16) and spoke to a Daryl (salesperson) told him i was interested and trading in my 2014 VW Passat SE (that i'm leasing from Volkswagen Financial) and trade up to a 2014 Mercedes GL 450. I came with all my paperwork, Payoff amount, etc. I was straight forward with him and emidiately he started thinking of ways of getting me more money for my car to "offset" and "finance" me into the GL. While i was in the waiting area, another customer was complaining that after taking their loan, her 5 series BMW's engine keeps shutting off while driving!!! she's had the car for less than 60days. They continued to give her the runaround and isn't helping her (RED-FLAG #1) RED FLAG #2 - When Daryl returned from "getting the keys" he told me that the vehicle is out on a test drive with another potential buyer. I then told hem that the other guy can have it and left. Thank God I didn't go through with purchasing a car with these Cons!!! My advice, go to a real dealership. Like Koppel, Star or Certified Automotive Dealer that has the manufactures name in the title. & Lease if you can.... besides, every car depreciates as soon as you drive off the lot. read more

I have contacted over seven other people who have gotten into a fraudulent transaction, in the past year and we are teaming up for a major lawsuit. We know there are others. Our car faxes were fixed, the miles were rolled back and our cars we beyond lemons. All had been in accidents of some kinds and we have repair shops from BMW and Mercedes dealerships to prove it. Darryl and Norman held onto my credit card, personally for over 3 months after I left. Wouldn't even let us leave without buying the car. We were there for 8.5 hours. I wasn't pressured. I was forced. 9 months later they ended up doing a rewind on the loan and admitted to fraud. I am owed a refund around $15,000 and Norman is keeping it because Masters already spent the money and can't pay me back. the car they took back was a White-4-door, Mercedes E350 with last 4 vin digest being 1414. The 5 star reviews here have been done by their own sales people and their families. And from people they helped get out of past fraudulent loans. I came across European Masters in great neck Ny when i was searching for an E class 63 AMG. I called them for some information and they put me on the phone with Darryl. Asked for some furthur information, condition and availability and they said the car was in great condition, was available . I immediately placed a deposit and asked to hold the car for me as i am based in Los Angles, CA and had to take a flight to see the car. The following morning i have submitted a finance request and they called me back saying i was approved with an OK APR and they they will send me over night the documents to sign. In the meantime i went ahead and booked the flight and hotel tickets. Called the following morning since the documents haven't arrived, but nothing..no one is answering as if they were avoiding me. Called the manager Norman and he said the car was at the body shop getting fixed (already a problem). Called the front desk and they said the car is available for sale (another problem), managed to call Darryl from a different number and he answered miraculously admitting the car has been sold to someone else.. So much lies, deception, miscommunication between the staff. Why do European Masters NY deceive people and take their deposits, run their credits, make you book tickets and fly 3000 miles for nothing... I confirmed verbally with sales department that the car was available. In fact, they told me that the car would be gassed up and parked out front waiting for me. So I made the 4 hour round trip commitment, only to be told after 30 minutes of waiting in their lobby (and refusing to see any other car), that the car had been sold. They pretended that it had sold the day before, but two weeks later I still see it on their website Bait-and-switch is their business model. They advertise low mileage, then when you arrive they only have higher mileage, higher cost vehicles available. You will regret it if you drive more than 15 minutes to get there. read more

Was told for two weeks prior a total car note (not the principle) would be one price, they had all the credit info for weeks before I came in, they knew what loan they were going to offer with an exorbitant interest rate of 19%. After being there for 5 hours for simple paper work (as everything was previously agreed upon) I was told in the last 10 mins. That my car payment would be DOUBLE what I was told. This was after getting an insurance quote, paying registration and DMV fees plus a down payment The finance guy acted like he doesn't know what the sales people do. The sales guy Henry acted as if he doesn't know what the finance department does, although he admitted he knew about the interest rate , he never mentioned it to my boyfriend and they had been speaking regularly for AT LEAST two weeks. My boyfriend was so appalled he walked out so he wouldn't do anything stupid due to anger. The manager or whoever came in to apologize and I see he's on a lot of these posts offering apologies, but what good is an apology when it doesn't explain why his business is ran this way with malicious intent? My brother is a business owner and I've worked in many branches of costumer service before. My experience was unlike anything I've seen. Like a few others have seen, with no explanation from the General Managers, this is classic "BAIT & SWITCH". Now, I would never go so far as so write a defaming review of a business or help ruin a company's reputation if I didn't think what they were doing was mean spirited and in poor business taste. If you want to waste your time, call European Masters. Called in on Sunday morning (they are open Sundays, vs Saturdays) and talked to a young lady who told me I would be called back by Alejandro, the sales person assigned to me. That call back happened on Monday after I briefly used the chat function on their website asking again for any Sales rep to be available. And so the typical car salesman tactic start. The advertised price only applies when, ... the dealerfee's (over $1000.00) are non negotiable, but maybe I can do something about it... I can get you a better finance rate than what you have... Alejandro was aware that I am an out of state buyer and that I would put down a security deposit ones we have come to terms with the drive-away price. So I was convinced to possibly finance with European Masters (BMW Bank), so a hard credit inquiry was done (which will reflect negatively on my credit score). The rate was not competitive. I told Alejandro what parameters would work, yet again, I was told to hear back the next day. Overall, it was like pulling teeth to get in touch with Alejandro. So the next day arrives, at 11am I send a text to ask for an update and we actually come to terms. I am ready to place the deposit for a weekend pickup. 10 minutes later I was told the car already sold the day prior. The usual excuses, when there is no security deposit, blah blah blah... we are high volume, yada yada yada. It is clear there is a lack of communication between the sales agents and I question why I had a credit check done in the first place. Maybe, and I am going out on a limp here, if you would advertise with the real price and visibility of add on fee's, ones time wouldn't be wasted! read more

I am currently on the market for a new vehicle and began an extensive search through my company's auto purchase program. I came down to 5 solid vehicles which included a 2013 X6 located at European Masters. Since I've only dealt with BMW and Mercedes dealerships, and never dealt with a third party dealership, I am used to world class service and was uneasy about dealing with independent dealerships. I read the reviews and noticed common cons with European Masters, but did not consider them dealbreakers. I decided to on 5 vehicles an scheduled an appointment to came into the Euoprean Masters to meet my potential new vehicle. A couple of buddies of mine are also on the market so I drove from NJ to Staten Island to pick up a buddy to look at vehicles. We entered European Masters' showroom Sunday 4/2 and was assigned to Alejandro, who initially seemed helpful. He showed me my desired vehicle and spoke to my buddy about his vehicle of interest. We sat down, I filled out the credit application and expressed this is a first of few stops on my search for my next vehicle. I expressed an interest to test drive the vehicle and he said that he could not do that without an approval and a deposit. I expressed that i would have to test drive the vehicle to aide in my decision making process. He said that "all X6's drive the same", I responded with that's not true and that I came a long way and would like to test drive, he responded, "the car drives nice" they all drive the same. By this time I was through and wanted to go to the next location. He gave my buddy three different updates with the last being his vehicle of interest is at service. SMH.. We were both disappointed and just wanted to get out of there. Although I loved my vehicle of choice and would like to move forward, i cannot digest bad customer service especially when I'm paying my hard earned money. I hate to give a business place a 1 star. But this place deserves it. I would have gave them 0 star if there is any. I bought a Mercedes here 3 weeks ago. When I was picking up the car, all the problems were remain unfixed. The sales told me in order to get the "Check Coolant Level" message off, I need to drive about 20 the 30 miles to let the liquid go through, then the message will no longer be showing which is completely bull shit. He doesn't even know what he was talking about. Unprofessional. After getting the car, I made several calls to make sure their repair shop has the parts to get my car fixed. 1. Stepping portion of the car. 2. Plate bracket, (there used to be one on the car, they decided to take it off, and screw the license plate on my bumper, which damaged my bumper) 3. Coolant Level 4. The second set of the key for my car. ( Yea, believe it or not, I still didn't get the second set of key until today. Just called, they picked up the phone at the first time, then refused to pick up the phone again.) Now going to the body shop parts, it turned out that they have never told the people in the body shop about this car at all. I had to go to body shop and flamed at them to get my car fixed. The second set of the key is the best part of the story. They promised to look for the key on my first visit at the shop. I trusted them, so I placed my order on the car, however, the electricity went out, so I had to come back the next day. They still didn't find the car the next day. So I waited, after a week, I went back to the store, they randomly took out two keys and tried on the car, then apologized that they were not the right one for my car, and promised to check their inventory. The funny part is, I have the car with me, and if they had to test every key they found, there is no way for them to find the right one. They used XEROX PRINTER to copy the key down, and promised to find it, or order another one from Mercedes. 2 weeks passed, no updated information from them. They are not replying the message, nor picking up the phone. I suggest you to avoid this place. A bunch of liars. read more

I bought a 2015 mb e350 from this guy Darryl and was cheated of a spare key for this car. before I signed the papers i asked this guy if I was going to get a second key and he said yes. when I got home, he had given me a remote that did not work and had no key in it. I spent 3 weeks trying to talk to this guy Darryl and his managers and was never able to get one of them on the phone. very bad experience with this guys.
