I have tried to be patient with this business but this has quite literally dragged on for two weeks now. It's a simple process that most dealerships can accomplish within an hour or two. I have bought several vehicles at this point in my life and never have I been so ignored or treated like the dealership could not care less at all. All I've gotten from you is excuses. My ex husband sold cars for Cadillac! So I am very, very well aware of the process and there is absolutely no good reason or excuse in the world for it to take two weeks and still not have gotten anywhere. The only possible reason is because you just don't care and my business is very clearly not important to you at all! This entire experience has been the worst, I literally can't even believe how lackadaisical you are as a sales person when this is apparently your business, that you own. You'd really think you would care more about how you treat customers and the reputation that you are creating and the fact that you clearly don't care at all about how outrageously long it has taken for every pathetic little step of the way of moving forward to actually purchase one of your vehicles. I've never tried so hard to buy a car and felt and been treated like the dealership couldn't care less or even be bothered to return phone calls. Do you know how many times I called after putting in the credit app? Quite literally dozens of times. Not even an exaggeration. And how many voicemails I left? Too many to count. And it took FIVE DAYS FOR YOU TO BOTHER RETURNING THAT PHONE CALL after you told me to fill out a credit application and I did. And now it's the same thing all over again with this next simple and small step in the process. I sent out the paperwork you requested the next day. You say you didn't receive it but you received every other email I sent so again it's just excuses and I don't buy it. That paperwork was emailed to you on Thursday by Monday still nothing. It's amazing you have a business at all! If it wasn't so infuriating it would be comical with how ridiculous it is! But one could wonder why you even bother to ask me to put a credit application in if you apparently don't have the time to actually deal with selling a car? So that my credit takes a hit when I am trying to purchase a car? But what do you care? There were other cars I could have pursued but I wasted my time on you and your dealership. There are many positive things to say about our experience with KP Auto. This was our first car purchase after many years in the lease cycle. Mike was informative and patient. He helped us with the end of our existing lease and financing. My complaint is that we were supposed to get two key fobs but were only given one and an unprogrammed replacement fob with an uncut key. Because we picked the car up on Saturday, Mike told us his service guy wasn't there to program the key, but that I could bring it back to him. Except that he stopped answering my calls and texts. So I would say that Kings Point Auto can be a good option so long as you don't need anything after closing on the car. read more

Although I did not end up buying a car, I did have a very pleasant experience. I worked with Ryan and Mike, and both of them were very helpful. Ryan knows a lot about the cars they have in their inventory, which is nice because most used car dealers have no idea what their own vehicles specs are. There were some prior known issues which they took care of even before me telling them that I wanted the car. I was very close to buying the car so I even got to see how they do the pre-delivery cleaning and detailing, and the car looked great. All in all, a good experience.Understand that it is a used car dealership and a lot of their business comes through the service center. Keep that in mind and don't get turned off by the initial looks of the cars in their lot. They will clean it all up nicely for you. read more

UPDATE (May 2018): King's Point Auto has fulfilled their warranty promise. The payment was sent in full and they were very apologetic for the delay. As it turns out this is a very busy time of year for them. ------------------------------------------------ I purchased a car from King's Point Auto in March 2018. The factory warranty had expired, but luckily, Kings Point Auto offers a 3k mile / 3 month warranty with all sales. This helped put me at ease with the purchase knowing they stood behind the sale and warranty. After I took the car to get inspected in my home state, there was an item which needed repair. I addressed this with King's Point Auto and was assured they would reimburse me the amount for the repair (since this was an out of state sale). I have provided all receipts and photo documentation of the repair and trusted that King's Point Auto would stand behind their word and provide reimbursement. To date, I have not received any reimbursement. In fact, I have not received any communication. I have send multiple emails and left multiple phone messages with the office staff at this point with no follow-up. Radio silence. I am posting this as a cautionary word to those who are considering the King's Point Auto warranty as a viable means to comfort in purchasing a car from them. Best car buying experience ever! I was looking for a slightly used S4 and they had one that fit me perfectly. On my search I went to various dealerships and was not even greeted at the door. Purchased a 2007 Acura RDX with 83k on it. In less than 24 hours of taking ownership it already needed a new radio CD player, battery and wiper blades. Because they didn't bother to check the care before it was picked up. Cause Mike was in Mexico rather than actually take care of his customer. I drove back and forth from Greenwich, CT to Great Neck NY 4 times driving back and mind you ALL HIGHWAY mileage, you see Mike you don't use the brake when you are on the highway. Here is how all went down. I call Mike to tell him about the CD player it was "Oh take it to Acura your warranty will cover it" NO it's coming back to you! Then the battery failed less than a week of owing the car. Mike says take it to Acura, no it's coming back to you! Mind you the "warranty" is for pepboys.. Scam warranty! Acura of Greenwich won't even look at the warranty I have added 4700 miles to the clock and the car needs new sway bars, rotors and pads, had to replace all the filters and the windshield wipers again things that should have been caught with your 126 point inspection.Check the car out 100% before buying from them and I mean take it to YOUR mechanic and have YOUR trustworthy mechanic check the car before buying. And stay away from the PWC warranty. Oh and don't count on receiving any of your "deal" paperwork! You see BY LAW you should receive the following Per the NY DMV which I did NOT Indicate, in writing, on the bill of sale whether a vehicle sold to a retail buyer is new, used, reconstructed, rebuilt salvage, or originally not manufactured to U.S. standards (see Title Branding).Provide the buyer completed odometer and damage disclosure statements which a normal dealership would give you But NOT King's Point Auto. This is where Mike messes up is that by the NY Law If the used motor vehicle has eighty thousand miles or more but no more than one hundred thousand miles, the warranty shall be at a minimum thirty days or one thousand miles, whichever comes first. You should really do some research before becoming a "used car salesmen" So yes you were required BY LAW to replace the broken CD player and battery, which your "126 point inspection failed to point out. If you are a women!! Stay away they have no respect for you if you speak up that there is something wrong with the car, you have a rotten attitude. But it's OK for his mechanics to come out and call one of his office workers a fat bitch right in front of the customer. Here's the bottom line, when you purchase a used car you don't expect to have to drive back and forth to have a CD player replaced, and a battery replaced because they failed to check it! Just like they failed to check the brakes, CD player Battery and the sway bars they didn't even bother to check the wipers. Make sure the car is the way you need it to be before you drive it off the lot! THEY FAILED ME!! THEY REPLACED NOTHING!!! UNTIL I OPENED MY MOUTH AND SAID SOMETHING!!BUT I HAVE A ROTTEN ATTITUDE. CT does not have a state inspection, it passed emissions! Purchased a GMC Yukon in April. Check engine came on driving home, not a good start. Mike made good on it. Couple months later tire pressure light comes on. Fill with air a few times then take it to tire shop. Technician finds TWO holes that were covered up with a glue type product. Tires were advertised as LIKE NEW! When I called to mention it I was spoken over and given a bad attitude. Car was also advertised as 4 wheel drive and is not. Dealer didn't even know the difference between the two. Well if I could give 0 stars I would but that's not an options .. mike is deff the sweet talker this man is literally the biggest scam artist I've met .. 3 years ago I bought a car from him, young foolish me was so excited to get my first car on my own without mommy and daddy's money . I paid for it on my own ... this man had no problem scamming and taking a 20 year old girls money .. sold me a car he knew had a number of issues and tried to pass it off as okay and great condition.. not only did I try to take it to him numerous times to see what was wrong with it , acting like he has no idea what the problem was . I needed to take it somewhere else even tho I had spent 2,500 on a extended warranty with him. Flash forward a year later I'm stuck driving a car that was destroyed with problems I couldn't afford to fix cause it was worth more then I bought the car for . A man had hit me and totaled my car. The insurance company covered almost all of it leaving me with 2000$ I had to pay out of pocket even tho the accident was not my fault AT ALL. I told him about it and he was telling me about how the "insurance company" had to pay the gap insurance off when ...... Here comes scamming mike to hide the fact the he in fact (the dealership) has to pay off the rest of the gap insurance after a quick phone call to my insurance company .. if that's not more then enough reason to NOT buy a car from him ... all I can say is good luck with all his broken cars he's buys off Craigslist jacking the price up and trying to get off his lot. I've never written a review before about a car buying experience. I've bought new and certified cars from Audi, Acura, Honda, VW, etc. dealers in the past. I was very leery about buying a car from a "used car dealer". I think they're all thieves. BUT...my experience with Mike at King's Point Auto was FANTASTIC. Background: I was in the market for a 2011+ Cadillac Escalade EXT and there were only 9 available within 50 miles. Fortunately, one was at Kings Point Auto. Here's how the process went: - When I called to ask about the truck, Mike spent about 20 min telling me the background on the truck (where he got it, where it was before he got it, and all of the servicing he had done with it) - When I got there to look at the car, he had it ready in the front of the lot. He handed me the keys and suggested I take as long as I'd like on the test drive. - The car drove great, but I've been burned in the past. So I asked Mike if I could have my mechanic (in Westchester) look at the truck. Not only did he say YES, he offered to have one of his guys drive it to the mechanic for me. - When my mechanic did the inspection, he called out all of the new parts (the one's that Mike had mentioned he'd replaced as well as parts Mike didn't even mention) and gave me the green light to buy the truck. - It gets even better. Mike then HUNTED for the best interest rate he could find for me by calling all of the banks he has a relationship with. The first rate he got me was 6.9% (yuck), but then he found me a 3.3% rate from a credit union that I wasn't even affiliated with (and convinced them to take my loan)---UNBELIEVABLE! I don't generally write reviews online but felt the need to here, given the EXCEPTIONAL experience I had at Kings Point Auto and working with the owner Mike G (his colleagues Ryan and Sam were also helpful). I was in the market for a BMW 5 Series and had checked out several dealerships prior to coming to Kings Point Auto. Many of those other dealers employed the sales tactics and tricks that I feel give used car salesmen a bad reputation. My experience with Kings Point however, was exceptional. My first impression walking into their showroom and lot was that it was filled with beautiful cars (many BMW's and Mercedes) and they were very fairly priced. I could tell Mike has a good eye for cars and picks his inventory as if he was buying these cars for himself. What really impressed me was that there wasn't any high-pressure sales pitch. Instead he was very informative, easygoing, helpful and patient throughout the process. I ended up purchasing a gorgeous BMW 550 from him. He also was able to get me an excellent finance rate through his lending relationships. He is dedicated to the business and 'gets it'. While others are looking at you as a one time transaction and a quick buck, Mike looks to do the right thing and build relationships, as he knows a happy customer is a repeat customer and this is probably not the last car you will buy. I imagine any negative reviews may be from those with unrealistic expectations. I found Mike added value every step of the way and as a result I wouldn't hesitate to refer friends and family to him. I had my oil changed here because I work down the street. When I took my car to be inspected the next day they told me the rubber gasket in the oil pan was crimped and showed me that oil was leaking out. I took the car back to King's point and said I'd go to lunch while they redid the oil change. I came back in 45 minutes and they told me they needed to order the gasket. (I wish they would have called me, it would have been more convenient than walking back to their shop). Okay, no big deal thus far; mistakes happen. But...when I came back at the end of my work day, the car was sitting in the street with the key inside of it and the doors unlocked, which I don't think is okay. I also had a guitar and amp in the back seat; it would have been super easy for someone to just open the door and grab it. I was annoyed and said something like "it's one thing to screw up an oil change, but you shouldn't leave my car in the street unlocked." The manager started to make some excuse about the oil change (I've changed my own oil before and there's no excuse for bunching up the gasket underneath the oil filter) and then to tell me that they had very expensive cars in their lot and no one stole them. Well, my guitar is a nice, costly guitar, and even if it costs $10 I would still not want it stolen. I'll take my modest little Prius and my business elsewhere next time and probably not pay $40 for an oil change, either. Update: I see that the owner has responded saying I was "lashing out" at the workers. I don't believe I did. I said exactly what I quoted above. It seems from other reviews here that if their work is sub-par or they make a mistake, instead of apologizing, they will respond by implying there is a problem with you for complaining. Most people, including me, respond well to an apology and are willing to move on. read more

I bought my car three years ago from this place. It was a BMW 330xi. I had Mike as my sales guy. He gave me the whole "we are a family run business and we take care of our customers". I didn't mind the bragging, that was fine. But what brought me to write the review is my most recent experience. I remember Mike telling me I needed to get gap insurance since I'm financing it and cars lose value over a period of time. Anyhow, the details and understanding of the conversation was that I would get it through my finance company and it was in my payment. Well the car got totalled and I found out I didn't have gap. So I called Kings Auto, only to be disrespected by some moron called Susan. Now, if it's illegal to sell gap insurance in NY state and that I may have misinterpreted the information is one thing. But tell me nicely and explain why. The first thing this idiot did was to say "he didn't tell you that!" And she did it with nastiest attitude. Long story short, we had a blow out over the phone and she hung up on me. At the time I didn't know her name, so when I called back I spoke to Mike who told me what may have been said during the conversation we had three years ago. Whether he did or not sell me is water under the bridge, but to be spoken to in such a disrespectful manner and then have the phone hung up on you, pissed me me off. I AM THE ONE THAT SPENT MY MONEY!
