They take care of all my trucks and vans for my pool business. I have always been happy with the repairs that they've made to all my vehicles. They might not always got it all right the first time but they get it right in the end. In any repair industry you can't always expect that everything will be 100% the first go around. I have sent countless people to D & R Auto repair once I hear how much so and so quoted them for a car repair. Every single time Jimmy gave them a better quote and the car was fixed to their satisfaction. The only drawback to this joint is that they have limited car parking space. If word gets out and a lot of people start bringing their cars to D & R then Jimmy might have to get a bigger shop.

Mike and Helen run an honest business and are a pleasure to do business with. At one point I had a loud thunking noise coming from the front of my car when turning. Mike took a look and let me know that the boot was coming off of one of the CV joints. He said that "eventually the part would go bad, but I didn't need to worry about it now and could save my christmas money." That kind of honesty is really refreshing in a mechanic. The repairs are quick, the prices are reasonable, and there's always a smile and a free ride back to my house. Regardless of what brand of car we own in the future, I know that we'll continue to bring them to the car spa for repairs.

They themselves drive Japaneese manufactured automobiles, so owners of Hondas, Toyotas, Nissans, etc. should feel comfortable with the level of expertise provided by their mechanics. My repair included a part billed to me at reasonable purchase cost instead of the much higher retail cost. The labor was reasonable and adjusted down from "book" because I had already removed the old part. There was only one problem preventing me from giving this business 5 stars - included in the repair cost was a "Service charge" of over $11. There is a large sign in the shop indicating that the service charge is for miscellaneous parts including nuts and bolts, grease, shop towels, etc. My repair required no miscellaneous bolts or other parts (everything was included in the part or re-used from the old part). There may have been a number of minor costs for shop towels, etc. I expected the service change for me to be $2-3 generously. Instead of denying the charge, I asked Helen how the charge was calculated. She feigned ignorance, said something vague about a percentage of the total cost, then promptly removed the charge without my requesting it to be removed. When asked if I felt better about the removed charge, I told her honestly, "No. I was asking for clarification, only." I suggested a $2-3 shop charge was appropriate. She refused to even consider it. This was awkward, to say the least. A 5% fee will never be fair, as some parts cost much but require little labor and vice versa. The service charge should be flat or calculated based on the amount of labor and it should reflect a reasonable estimation of the costs associated with the repair. To do otherwise is frankly dishonest. I feel certain that Helen and Mike are just trying to cover their costs as effectively as they can, and that this charge is not intended to gouge their customers. I will definitely patronize The Car Spa again soon, and hope to find the service charge calculated more appropriately.

We recently bought a used car from someone that had issues shortly after. The previous owner…read moredirected us to this shop which is where they had their repairs done (we were told the issue was something hat had been fixed last summer.) Mike was nice enough to wave the labor charge but once her got into the engine it turns out it wasn't what we were told and the car needed a new engine. We'd just had a baby and waited two plus weeks to hear the diagnosis. We came up with the money for a new engine and waited. Called again after a couple of weeks. That engine had been dropped and cracked. So we waited for another to be ordered and delivered. Along with another part. A little over two months after our car was dropped off we finally got the call it was done and that everything was fine. It's not. My husband could tell driving it home something wasn't right. Even after asking Mike that everything was working he offered a simple fix. Flush the system since it sat for so long. Not the issue. After taking it to her another mechanic and getting a diagnosis it turns out some of the hoses are dry rotted and we now have an oil leak onto exhaust along with issues in the engine we just paid to have put in the car. We would have preferred to have everything fixed and I had hoped we could find a trustworthy mechanic to keep coming back to but that will not be this shop. I'm disappointed with our service and the time it took.

It died multiple times in traffic, what an embarrassing feeling.. I went to a commercial store and the estimate came to over $1,000. I mean, they did find three separate oil leaks, including my Vtec.. but I felt the price was out of hand. So I shopped around and decided to try this place out. Best Quality found the problems and calculated all the labor and replacement costs (I also replaced my timing belt, water pump, sensors, and a few other items because they were way overdue)... and it all came out to much less than I expected. The parts were authentic Honda ones as well. The job was done in less than two days so I was really appreciative of that, finding rides to and from work can be bothersome.
