I assumed the problem was fixed. I bought the car and drove it home, again no check engine light. Well, later that day it appeared again. Took the car to be diagnosed and learned that at least one of the two catalytic converters was bad and needed replacing. MWA informed me that they would not repair it, so now I'm looking at least a $1500 repair.

Very quickly and emphatically, I was told it would be "fixed at no charge, piece of cake, even if it cost $4000 because that's how you get repeat customers." They would order the part, and call me. Had I not been promised this, I might have looked for another car, or negotiated for a lower price. But they were quite convincing. Never did get that call. I called numerous times over several weeks, and got the runaround. I was finally appeased because I wasn't going away. They took the door apart, then said they couldn't fix it because they'd have to take out the window, and they weren't skilled at that. They "greased the handle up real good," and said it was better, but it was not. When I asked for the part, turns out they didn't even have it, so clearly, they never had any intention of fixing it. Also, I have yet to receive the title for the car, which they assured me was a clean title, but I now have my doubts about that too. To top it off, the car had a headlight out which we didn't realize until that evening, and I got no response when inquiring about that as well, and that would have been a simple, cheap fix that may have lessened my disappointment in the whole experience. Also, the name of the business is misleading--they only deal in cash sales.

I am very appreciative of the efforts the garage made in two problems that I struggled with and had tried to get assistance from other garages: I could not open the hatch because the handle was broken. They found a replacement and I again had a truck to store items. The broken door on the driver side drained the battery and I needed to get the car jumped frequently. I had to drive the car every day or the battery would be dead. Once Ambrosia's fixed these problems my life became easier.
