Through a truly difficult time and process after getting in my accident, Jacob and Carzone Collision were my saving grace. If you've ever been in an accident you know all the logistics and "politics" of dealing with an accident. Jacob and the team at Carzone collision were simple. They were honest, and completely transparent. ***DO NOT GET TOWED AFTER AND ACCIDENT*** These guys towed my car after an accident treated me really nice, my vehicle had very little body damage and I felt like they were in good hands. They used a hammer and added exterior damage to an entire side of my car. My Insuranxe Had to get Fraud Agents involved and they found the tools logo branded in the new dents and damage. I met Jacob when I went to check out the car and he was super nice and talked me through their services and the process of repairing the car. He kept me updated with the insurance adjuster process and when my parts were being repaired. He sent pictures and very detailed messages about what was taking place. Absolutely do not bring your car here. The owner is incredibly rude and will scam to keep your car longer. My girlfriend had her car towed here after she was in an accident. The owner refused to send paperwork to have the car released even though she had a fever from COVID. Not only that but when I called to ask to have the paperwork needed to be sent electronically he told me since my name was not on the car it was " none of my business" and proceeded to tell me to "quit giving him a headache" before he abruptly hung up. If you want to be treated like garbage then this is a good place for you. I wish I could give a 0 star because the way this man treats his customers. My husband wrecked his car pretty badly a while back and his car was towed here. They talked to him about keeping his car here to get fixed instead of having them tow it elsewhere. We checked reviews to make sure they weren't trying scam us and agreed. From the beginning I knew his car was in good hands, Jason and Jacob did great at communicating progress and staying in touch. Since he's received his car a few things have come back up and they've always welcomed him back free of charge to take care of it. We really can't say enough good things about this place. Jacob and the staff at car zone are sleazy and should not be allowed to tow for the city. My car was picked up by them after it flooded. They use extremely high pressure to force me to use their services. When I chose not to use the shop services they became very angry. They released my car only after I videotaped my lobby experience. They finally gave me a bill and released the car after the most intense resistance I ever encountered. read more

The company does not pay their vendors. I did a job on a machine for them. I did some troubleshooting, using my extensive research to assess the problem and when I came back for the check the next day they told me no. They denied me a check and didn't give any explanation only that they would not pay me and I needed to leave! Now imagine how they treat your car. If they aren't willing to pay a vendor for their services, will they really be giving you great service. These people are trash. I would not recommend them or ever bring my vehicle. Do not waste your time going here for an oil change. This is the second time I've come to ask for an oil change and they blew me off. The first time they told me they didn't have time for an oil change. The second time coming to ask for an oil change they didn't even welcome me and he asked what car I drove and told me it would be 2 hours until I could get an oil change. The people who work in the front office are a joke. Why not just tell me the wait is 2 hours for an oil change instead of wasting my time asking what car I drove first. I was trapped into using Car Zone's body shop after their towing service towed my car to their body shop after an accident. One of their selling points was that they use manufacturer parts (which was untrue) and they had a few other selling points that were rather questionable/lacking integrity. Because of these factors and not being familiar with the place and the amount of pressure they used to keep my car, my instinct told me to go with my dealership's body shop which I've used before and it's close to my home. When the request was made to release my vehicle, Car Zone wanted to charge my insurance company $2000 to release it which no insurance company would cover. Therefore, I was forced/trapped into using their body shop. They made an initial estimate of $2500 for my front bumper and hood to be replaced. Somehow they managed to charge my insurance company almost 10K in work on my 11 year old car that could've/should've been totaled at $6K. I'm not sure where all that money went but I know it wasn't for OEM parts. After waiting a month for my front bumper and hood to be replaced I was told by Car Zone that insurance only covers OEM parts if the car is less than 12K miles, however, they were all fully aware my car was almost 160K miles when they towed it to their body shop so why was that used as a sales pitch to me? At minimum, a phone call to inform me that they wouldn't be using OEM parts "because my insurance wouldn't cover it" would've been acceptable rather than not being honest. Jacob, who was initially my contact, was always clueless about the status of my car or when it'd be ready for pick up but he sure seemed confident when he stated my insurance company (Allstate) never sent them any payments even though there were numerous virtual assists that took place within that month as well as Allstate's payments. Not to mention they wouldn't accept a personal check from me for my deposit although their website clearly states they accept checks. After picking up my car from Car Zone the "CHECK AFS System" appeared which is related to the work Car Zone performed on my headlights. Although my lights seemed to be working after picking it up in daylight, at night I couldn't see anything more than 10 feet in front of me and there are distracting lines/glares/rainbows coming from the aftermarket headlights and/or lack of quality of work. I had to take my car back multiple times for headlight adjustments. This is exactly why I prefer OEM parts (even if used) and wanted the work to be done at an established, reputable, honest, and knowledgeable place near my home; a place where quality work is done right the first time and without force/entrapment read more

Being in an accident is inconvenient. I was involved in a wreck on the toll way one evening and was towed to a gas station where I was met by a young man with a tower. After some persuasive conversation he towed me to his shop. Car zone auto shop. It was a matter of minutes when the manager (Jacob) himself, came to open up and meet me after regular business hours and get my information. Having your vehicle out of commission puts you out of sorts. You're anxious, stressed and just want it all to be over. But ask yourself this... You want it done right? Or right now? Being new to the area after moving from the Northeast and getting into an accident, coming across Car Zone and doing business with them was one of the most pleasant experiences despite the unpleasant circumstances that brought us together. Having an accident on the weekend when no auto rental is open, without hesitation, I was given a loaner. The staff made arrangements for me to picked up that Monday by Enterprise to get my rental through my insurance company and the same when I had to return it. When the repairs took longer than expected and my rental ran out, they did not hesitate to arrange one of their loaners for me. On April 8th approx 10:43pm one of their wreckers entered Hwy 290 traveling west at a high rate of speed. Cut an 18 wheeler off and almost side swiped a motorcycle. He entered the Hwy with his light bar on like he was using it to maneuver through traffic. The driver then reached speeds of over 80mph. read more

I don't know if your company provides good towing service or not, however, I was at Hempstead Highway and Hollister Sat night, 1-9-16 close to 8PM and 3 wreckers came flying by me passing me in a fast and very unsafe manner. 1 of them was your wrecker, 1 was Hy-Tech Towing, and 1 was SBK towing. I only could get over to the right about 2-3 feet as there was no shoulder. All 3 passed me and one swerved into the oncoming traffic lane. I followed them to their scene to find out if they were trying to assist in an serious extrication or something but when we arrived, it was a minor traffic accident. I am a Paramedic in the Fire Department and was off duty. I wanted to get out and complain to the HPD officer on scene (Blalock and Clay Rd) but I refrained. It really made me mad the way they made me swerve to the right to get out of their way. They are going to cause a wreck someday if that is how they respond to all of their calls and you are going to have a big liability. I have a dash cam and my video caught the incident. I was in a minor accident on July 17th, and after deliberating where to take my car, NW Car Zone had my car in the shop by the 19th or 20th. I just received the car today (August 20th). The initial estimate was that my car would be returned to me about two weeks after the accident, around August 1st. There were multiple delays, and I only knew about these delays because my mom, the owner of the car and the insurance, called to ask if it was ready. They did not reach out to us to inform us of setbacks, which is a bit bothersome, but it was a different encounter that merits the one-star review. I grew tired of contacting them through my mother, so I called them myself, and I was stunned speechless at the unprofessional, rude, disrespectful customer service I received from John. He told me that my mother's multiple calls were bothering him, and he "shouldn't have to take this abuse." It was a disgusting and inaccurate accusation and unfortunately, it didn't end there. He also said if she was worried about me (a 4'11", 100 pound single female) walking/biking around downtown, she should have gotten better insurance. He had absolutely no sympathy for my situation, and has no business dictating which insurance is best for our family. Finally, when confronted with a perfectly reasonable request to be refunded for the Lyft fairs I'd been charged with since the delays, he refused to listen and called it ridiculous. I could hardly get a word in the entire phone call. He was extremely polite to her, because, I'm sure, he thought she was paying the bills, but was very disrespectful to her behind her back. I, nor anybody who has associated with me during this five-week-long experience, will never be using this service again, and I would strongly discourage others from doing the same, especially those who are younger or don't have full-coverage insurance. read more

I am VERY pleased with the first-class work done on my car at Car Zone. I have an older "collector's" Toyota that had side and front-end damage because of an accident and I am so glad I decided on this shop for the repairs. I dealt directly with Danny who was extremely approachable, professional, and honest. Kassy in the office was very kind and helpful. I received an estimate with a list of repairs needed (with estimated costs). The final work done and final bill followed that estimate exactly! I got a fair and honest deal and the car, which was in mint condition before the accident, has been fully restored. It looks beautiful, runs very well and I could not be happier.
