Well deserved 5 stars!!! this was my first stop in searching for a stereo harness and it should have been my last. The guys were so professional, helpful and knowledge. They did not have what i was looking for on hand and couldn't wait for it to be ordered, they were nice enough to tell me where I could find it. I went there but no lunck either, Being Desperate and impatient, i found a place and was taken for with the old else bait and switch . (Won't get too into that here). Long story short my deck was in and there was no sound in the back . Those guys tried selling me back speakers saying it was an old truck and or the wiring had to be replaced. I called Caracoustics, as soon as I arrived I was well taken care of. The team got right to work and I have nexer seen such quality work. They Sodered and shrink wrap Each connections! No crimps, because they were so experienced just by the sound they new something was wrong. Some quick troubleshooting a look at the other shops wiring they found the other guys actually crossed some wires. Ryan at Caracoustics is a pro. When other shops didn't think they can change my 2016 Pilot factory head unit with the 2017 component I bought, I took it to Caracoustics. The quoted good prices over the phone, were straight forward and did a great job. I had an awesome experience with Caracoustics. Have an old Landcruiser that needed a dashcam installed.. They went way above and beyond on this install that was necessary on a 35 year old vehicle with a headliner and some cracked plastic conduit that couldn't be used to route the wiring. And on top of the extra work, they did not charge me any more for the install.. They are super knowledgable with any electronics, stereo, or dashcam systems.. and they do it with a smile. I was looking for a installer to install a good car cam in so I was browsing Yelp. Saw Caracoustics and this bring back memories. So this is a review that's almost 30 years late (there's no Yelp back then ;-P). Howard had worked on a few of my cars back in the late 80's to early 90's. I then went to work overseas for a while and by the time I returned. Car audio have became so integrated into other Vehicle functions and Premium audio on late model cars have gotten decent enough that I have not had a need for his service. His rate is not cheap but If you want things done right, then go with the oldest running custom audio shop in the Valley owned by the same person that's been doing this for over 30 years. below is a sample of the kind of work Howard did for me 30 years ago. Imagine what he can do now: Nakamichi TD700 Cassettle Deck with Azimuth adjustments. Nakamichi CDC101 CD changer with a DAC101 DAC (yes. Nakamichi had a dedicated DAC for a mobile CD Changer 30 years ago). Custom rack mounted in a Saab 900 and later a Saab 9000 along with ADS speakers/subs, AMPs and a custom Sub enclosure/rear deck. equipments and labor was was probably over $5K at the time. The receiver in our 2006 Subaru died. We did some research about what kind of replacement system we wanted and brought an outline to Caracoustics. Howard was great. He considered our needs and preferences. Then he explained -- slowly and in detail -- the type of system he recommended and the associated options. Howard is obviously very knowledgeable and wants to sell the customer the right system for him or her; he likes his job. We agreed on a system. Howard sold it to us, installed it and explained how to use it. I took a 09 Tacoma in for a new system + sound deadening. Sound deadening is done by a full gut of the interior; door panels, seats, carpet, the works. As you can imagine if the installer doesn't know what they're doing they will wreck your vehicle. When done the interior looked 100% unchanged. All the panels, carpet, etc fit perfectly. Road noise was reduced immensely. For sound I went with the Focal speakers + amp fed by a Pioneer head unit I already had. This replaced the OEM HU + speakers. Night and day improvement. I'm very happy with the service, friendliness, and quality of work. I recommend Caracoustics without reservation. read more

I came here for an interlock device removal. The store Manager was very professional and has a lengthy history in regards to working with Interlock companies. He allowed me to watch the de-install instead of me having to walk around the neighboring area. The entire process only took about 30 minutes which includes paperwork. I've been to 3 different service centers so far and this one was by far the most welcoming. Oh and I mentioned that my charging port in my car wasn't working and he fixed it in about 30 seconds free of charge. read more

After my 2014 stereo install by Howard, I just had CarAcoustics upgrade the speakers to match the stereo and amp. Howard suggested Focal speakers and we added sound deadening to the doors of my Porsche. Ryan did a great job on the install, evidenced by photos he took to show the work. The system sounds amazing and the work was done just as quoted. Howard knows sound and sound systems and you can take his advice to the bank. The recommendations were presented as options with no sales pressure, and were entirely consistent with his recommendations when the stereo was initially installed. I want to add another excellent review for Caracoustics. I wanted to upgrade my car stereo and add a backup camera to my Corvette convertible. Howard took the time to explain all my options, pros and cons, etc. It was a no pressure approach and his goal to educate and serve clients well was evident throughout. The shop is very clean and professional. The price quote was not cheap, but there were lower cost options I could have taken had I wanted. To set expectations, don't expect a cheap cost and a cheap work product if you go there. We scheduled an appointment a couple weeks out and they started the job. There was an unexpected delay due to a supplier not providing a component timely, but things like this happen. In the end, the installation looks, sounds, and works fantastic. They took the time to connect my smartphone and walk through all the menus and settings. Howard followed up the next day and I did report a very minor glitch (intermittent warning message screen) that he corrected immediately. He even followed up again a week later. So far, no issues to report and I'm very happy to find a good small business doing quality work, with a lot of expertise, and with a high value for customer service. read more

Today I had the pleasure of visiting caracoustics. I found the company on Yelp, called and explained to Howard the issues I was having with my car radio and he got me in right away. My radio completely stopped working . There was some trouble shooting done and Ryan found that my speakers were bad for sure, so we started out replacing them, my radio was still malfunctioning, so we did what was necessary and changed the stereo as well and this worked! My radio is back up and running . Though I didn't expect to have to come out of pocket so much today (the prices aren't too painful) the money doesn't matter at this point because I'm so happy with my new stereo! It's lovely! My 2014 GMC Sierra OEM radio was changing stations on its own. I went to GMC and they said they would take a look at for $400.00 but could not guarantee they could find the problem. New factory unit was $1400.00 on line. I went to Caracoustics because of the 5 star rating and talked to Howard. He asked what I had and what I was looking for and gave me a my options and what he recommended was not the most expensive unit. I ended up going with a more expensive unit but it was all on me Howard did not try to up sell me. Between my first meeting with Howard and when I decided to go with him I went to a few other car stereo places and found that the sales people had little knowledge of their products and went to their most expensive unit. If you go into Caracoustics you will talk to Howard and know the extra steps they do on the install and you will walk out knowing more than you might have wanted to know because talking to someone that knows what they sell can get over whelming but at no time did I ever feel like I was being pressured. read more

Easy 5 stars for these guys! Ryan and his manager Har? Or Han I believe ? Both great guys and is all about helping with quality work! These guys knows what they're doing! So short story, I touched/kneed something in my car to cause some electrical issues on my Miata. I work on everything on my car besides electrical. I was referred by a friend to come here. Looked them up on Yelp before going, and was really hesitating on going because I see that they only worked on high end cars(lambos, Maserati etc) BUT don't let that scare you! It's because of how trustworthy and how much quality and time they put into their job. Other audio, electrical shops try to fit in as many jobs as they can but that's not the point. That's half-assing the job and doing shortcuts without your consent. Anyways, I felt bad for coming an hour before closing, but Ryan did his best to pinpoint the issue in an hour timeframe without cutting wires and getting down and dirty. From all the assumptions on what it could be, by the end of the hour, he came down to ONLY 2 assumptions, Fascinating! As we could not finish the job, I know I will be back in the future to get some work done! Thanks again Caracoustic! Definitely recommend this place if anyone needs top quality radars, audio work, and electrical work. Do not go anywhere else or you will waste your time! read more

I first met Howard after researching for a quality installer and in that he and his staff are skilled installers. I talked to Howard at length regarding my desire to have an pioneer avic 8200 nave stereo head unit installed in my 14 Camby at the occlusion of our descussion was made to choose Car Acustics as the installer of my equipment. As I left I asked if he would install supplied equipment, he said that he wanted to sell me the equipment but he would install my equipment & provided his labor rate. When I scheduled an appointment to have my equipment installed, I was told to come buy so he could discuss in detail do to the specific of my install. I am not sure what exactly was going on in Howards mind but I held no secret that I wanted to save money where I could. All calm rationallity was from this man as you might think I held a gun to him and was robbing him, it was pretty bad. I told him I agree to your labor rate spend the time needed for a quality insyall but at the time there was that HUGE attitude. I was quoted a minimum and maximum amount of time which seemed fair. I was told pretty much after the install I would be responsible for any removal of equipment if issues occurred, which also seemed fair to me. Howards staff, were very professional & courteous to me. There work is excellent. The staff get 5 STARS, Howard 0 is how I settled on 3 stars. It would have been worth it to go to the next runner up rather than listen to this conceited adelecet man tell me why I should pay him close to 1/2more for the equipment alone, he is to much. My suggestion to you, if you are able do your research yourself it is out there then install it your self or go to his competition. read more

Howard and his team have installed killer stereos for every car I have. From Custom Classic Mustang to old VW Bus. I've also referred him to anyone I know that wants a car stereo installed correctly. He and his team just do it right. Not the cheapest guy in the book by any means, but if you want to make it look like it was in the car from the beginning, if you want it to sound amazing, if you want high end sound, these guys are the place to go. They've stood behind everything I've ever had done there. And fixed anything if I needed it to be fixed. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. With any sort of auto equipment installers, finding a good one is sometimes a bit of a crap shoot but every once in a while you find an absolute gem. Howard and his crew do amazing high quality work. I originally needed to replace a failing bluetooth/media headend unit in my car but was persuaded to replace the entire factory installed navigation/handsfree unit. I was a little hesitant at first because it was fairly expensive and the original nav system, while not anything special, was still working fine. However, Howard convinced me to go with a Pioneer nav system that included Apple Carplay and Android Drive. This was the key as he gave me a demo of the system and everything about it was simply awesome. I'm the type of person who likes to be on the bleeding edge of tech and this new nav system was just too cool to pass up. If you look at the Caracoustics website or the photos on their Yelp page, you'll notice that they do a lot of expensive high end custom jobs. I don't have a Ferrari or a Lambo. Just a boring Toyota Highlander. While the install was nothing exotic, they did have to make one custom modification to the front plate around the nav screen. Looking at the finished product you would never have guessed that they had to fill in, sand, and paint over part of a button cutout. Not a significant task to them probably, but it shows that they are willing to overcome any obstacle to make it work. Once the job was done, they sat with me in my car and went through a thorough tutorial on all the features and functions. Not only is their work top notch, they know everything about the product they sell. The one thing that sets Caracoustics apart from any other installer is the owner, Howard. Totally nice guy who is an old school audiophile. I had a long conversation with him in his shop, which started out as a discussion about my car install options but we talked about lots of other completely unrelated stuff. Some people probably would not be interested in doing that but I got to know him a little bit and Howard is quality people. He loves what he does and he's been doing it for so long he's pretty much seen everything. So no matter how unique or weird or unusual a job is required, he can make it work. To me, this wealth of experience and integrity is so key to a customer. You want to have that feeling of confidence and assurance that the job will be done right, done perfectly, and that corners were not cut and you are not being swindled. The fact that I felt completely confident in Howard's work made me feel good about spending the money, which in my case, was a fair amount. So, if your car needs speakers, audio systems, video systems, navigation units, bluetooth/hands free systems, pretty much anything that can be installed in a car, then stop looking around and give Caracoustics a call and talk to Howard. You can be certain whatever job is needed, it'll be done right and you'll drive away a happy customer. read more

Howard was amazing! He gave me realistic prices and was accommodating to my schedule. My old 4Runner needed a facelift inside and out. My first problem was the antenna - it broke off and only allowed me to get a couple of stations. He went above and beyond to contact Toyota to get the correct pieces delivered same day- to fix that issue. He showed me a few options for an updated radio. I picked a Bluetooth, eyes free Siri capable, beautiful radio that looks so fancy and chic at the same time. He also gave me options for upgrading my other systems like the speakers, bass and amp. He was very knowledgable about everything ESP because I know every little in this arena. He was able to get everything done same day before traffic got heavy:) My most favorite moment when this little old lady came in to have him help her set up her iphone to the stereo system -and she had the nicest things to say about Howard and his business. The owner told me to bring the cell phone and car over to his place. When we got there, he took a look at it and in about 5 minutes had hubby's cell phone connected to the Blue Tooth.
