    Bland ham & mozzarella crepe
    Caitlin H.

I ordered a custom crepe with ham and mozzarella. The ham was okay. It was nice that it wasn't deli meat ham. There was lots of mozzarella, and it had good flavor. The texture of the crepe was nice and thick and fluffy, but the crepe itself was super bland. The spicy sauce it came with was okay, but I didn't like it much. I don't think I'll be back, based on the lack of flavor in the crepe itself. It definitely needed some butter or something.

    Chocolate mousse with toasted almonds

Really like this food truck and i'm a regular when they're at the South Lake Union campus. My go-to, is the hobuck -Black Forest ham and cheese. I usually add extra sides - mushrooms and caramelized onions along with that, which is absolutely delicious!! Super filling too! I go into a food coma after that. Comes with a salad, which I usually don't end up having space for, after eating all the good stuff :) have also tried Tried the one with lentils once. Not as good as the ham and cheese; or probably just not to my liking. Among the sweet crepes, my favorite is the chocolate mousse crepe with toasted almonds. Soooo good! It usually comes with a choice of fruit but I skip the fruit and go with just the mousse and almonds. Yumm! Yumm! This place does get super crowded during the lunch hours so if you don't have a lot of time to wait in line, plan to get there around 11:30 am or after 1:30 pm. They also offer a punch card which gets you a free crepe after every 10 crepes that you buy. So, if you have tried this place and you like it, be sure to grab yourself one of those cards, cause you will be coming back. Compared to a few other food trucks, this place is Slightly on the pricey side, but the savory crepes are quite big and do fill you up.

Tequila-Lime Braised Wild Boar Crepe ($5)
    Jon L.

Attended the Mobile Food Rodeo earlier this month. Caravan Crepes was there serving their selection of sweet and savory crepes. Caravan originates from Maui in which the owner had a creperie there who has transported that vibe to the Seattle food truck scene. Caravan's selection of crepes is a bit different from your usual. If you look at the gourmet ingredients they use, you can tell that. Not only are the ingredients in the crepe different, but the batter is too. The batter is called teff and is a wheat alternative that is gluten free. Since it was Cinco de Mayo, Caravan offered a few holiday related crepes. I decided to go for a savory crepe, the tequila-lime wild boar crepe ($5). It was served with a side of mixed greens. The serving size was just right as it allowed me to try other trucks without feeling too full. The crepe was alright. The taste of the teff batter is a bit of an acquired taste since I am used to crepes tasting differently. It does take getting to use to, but I found it enjoyable the more I ate it. The wild boar though was a bit dry inside the crepe. It could have also used a little more spice. The prices for crepes here is quite reasonable. So if I was attending an event in which Caravan was at, I would give them another shot. Particularly because their crepes has some interesting ingredients in them.

What luck I show up at the magnolia farmers market and there is a crepe truck. With so many options I had to debate a savory or sweet crepe or the crepe of the day. I decide savory was the mood for today since the morning was a bit dismal so the wedge sounded pretty good I mean Apples prosciutto and Brie...my savory crepe came with a side salad and sour cream. The salad was nicely dressed even though they almost forgot to add the dressing. Overall the crepe was nice and thin and was a very nice and light brunch snack. The brie wasn't fully melted but it was soft enough to complement my thinly sliced apples there were hints of prosciutto.

Wow! Stopped by while in Magnolia-cute setup and great little outside seating. Solid menu of sweet and savory for crepes (and they have pizza!) I got the pear/onion/brie crepe and Nutella crepe-both were super delicious. The pear/onion/Brie crepe was especially mind-blowing-the perfect combo plus the balsamic glaze and small arugula salad filling too. highly recommended for any crepe craving!

Hands down best savory crepe I've ever had! I'm typically not a fan of savory crepes, but Caravan Crepes does it right. I ordered the wedge crepe and fell in love with the sweet and salty flavor combination of the brie cheese, prosciutto, and apple. The crepe itself was light and airy and there was a good crepe to ingredient ratio! The sour cream on the side also paired really well with the crepe -- it adds an extra level of tangy/creamy-ness to the meal. My friends ordered the hobuck and the shorty which they said were super yum as well! Will defs be back here for lunch again soon -- $9 for a decently sized crepe + side salad is such a steal in SLU!

Crepes. Love at first sight. I'm always looking for a new crepe around town. Somehow, the truck route didn't really line up with my schedule. I work downtown and often have to trek far and long to see my beloved food trucks. The owner is super nice and I liked her instantly. I knew Caravan was going to be at the Mobile Food Rodeo in September (if you haven't been to one, you should go - that is all). Caravan was on my list for the day, which is a pretty big deal since my list is very short for an event with 50 or so trucks. I went to the truck a few hours after the Rodeo began and ordered a sweet crepe. Before I got it, I did a double take at the menu. Since I had already been there for hours, I knew that the prices had gone up. I asked the person who took my order (and money) about it and she said that was a special for VIFs (Very Important Foodies). I held up my VIF badge and it didn't matter - still paid the same price. I want to be clear that I paid a fair price. It simply is not cool to change prices midstream, have a customer call you on it, and refuse to do anything about it. Back to the crepe, check it out: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/caravan-cr%C3%AApes-seattle#bVV4RAK3K_o2JB_b73FjqQ This is a beautiful crepe! I love the presentation and the little touches. The crepe itself is slightly spongier than I like but combined with the fillings, well, it was good. The salted caramel sauce you see on there is fantastic! And whipped cream? Can you ever really go wrong with whipped cream? I think not. As I said before, my regular work week schedule didn't put me in the path of Caravan again until recently. I always try to eat at a truck twice before reviewing it. I lucked out and Caravan made a few appearances at Fremont Sunday Market where I spend a lot of time. This time, I tried a savory crepe, The Wedge, shown here: http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/caravan-cr%C3%AApes-seattle#SIvOYbC9EPqNMYj2USjH5g Again, top notch presentation. Beautiful! The crepe itself had brie, prosciutto, apple and sweet onion chutney and a side salad. Honestly, I wasn't sure how I would feel about the side salad. I liked it - it was a nice touch that went well with the crepe. I think the portion could be bigger but I definitely enjoyed the taste. I hope our paths cross more - I'd like to visit Caravan more often.

Bulgarian feta cheesecake with fresh berries and pistachio crumple crepe!
    Lyn M.

I fell in love with their Bulgarian feta cheesecake crepe with fresh berries and pistachio crumble! I've never had feta cheesecake so I was really excited on how it would turn out! It was amazing. The texture of the cheesecake was smooth and not too sweet. The crepe wasn't rubbery, it had a soft texture. I just wish there was more the pistachio crumble. One of the best crepes I've ever had!

This place is the best! Regular batter and gluten free ... they have all the bases covered. They even have heaters so you can eat outside!

The best crepes around and Oscar is a master chef. We love it here! Regular. Gluten free. They have it all!

Cara cara orange curd. Pistachio. Whip. A light Orange dreamsicle crepe with balanced sweetness and fresh citrus kick. Loved it!

We had our annual event on October 8th at the Edmonds Waterfront Center with Shooby Doo catering as…read morethe food vendor. The Waterfront Center has them as an exclusive contract so we had no choice but to use this caterer. We signed up with them back in 2020 believing that we would have an in-person event in 2021 but the Delta virus made us have to do a virtual event. Shooby-doo refused to refund our significant down-payment, so we were stuck with them for a future opportunity. Which we utilized them, as I said, on October 8th 2022. The tasting that we did those years ago was absolutely wonderful. The food was quite delicious. And that team worked with us to make sure that we would have a really good selection of food items to meet all pallets, allergies, and so forth. Thus, the food is quite expensive. The major issue that we had with this company is that we are a non-profit organization and have to abide by state guidelines in regard to serving alcohol. It was almost impossible to work with Scooby-Doo on this issue because they had really bad information that they kept telling us was accurate. It was not good. It took weeks on end to finally get them to deal with the state directly and understand that we were correct and we would not do anything that would potentially jeopardize our nonprofit status. In the end it was resolved well but the frustration that we were put through is still something that has a scab on the wound. One expects for someone who is providing a service that particularly has to meet state guidelines would know what they are doing and what they are talking about. And not asking us to work in a gray area. And that's what we were told over and over again. "Just work in the gray area", but like I said it was finally resolved. One other minor thing that was aggravating but we dealt with quickly was them wanting us to get more alcohol than we needed. We got what we knew we needed and still had a few bottles left over. And the only other minor aggravation was they didn't know their full contract the evening of when everything was said and done. They thought we were supposed to be out of the building at 10:00 p.m. but we were actually scheduled to be out by midnight. Again it got resolved but it was something else to add to a more stressful moment in time. Now on to the good stuff: The night of the event was extraordinary. Their employees had everything set up in advance as it was supposed to be and the venue looked amazing. They were so friendly, accommodating, and easy to work with. They literally catered to our every need asking questions along the way to make sure that we were satisfied before our guests even arrived. The staff members were amazing. The food was out of the ballpark extraordinary. People absolutely loved the food. We had a double-sided buffet in order to make things would go smooth and quickly. I'm glad we opted for that rather than having them serve the dishes. It worked well. I'm absolutely sure that we would never use Shooby Doo again for our agency events, because of the massive issues we had with them in the beginning. However, I do think they would be good for things that are not related to being a non-profit: Like weddings, birthdays, small corporation celebrations, and such. If you're considering Shooby Doo to cater your nonprofit organization, be careful, be warned, and make sure you check everything, especially the legality around alcohol service. Also, know and monitor the contract so that you know exactly what's in it. While the service was excellent the night of, and the food was extraordinary, the price tag on this event was far more than we anticipated. We recognize that food costs are up and inflation is a nightmare but this is a very expensive catering service. Scooby-Doo gets a five star on the food quality and the evening of service. They get a one star on the knowledge on working with nonprofits, or at least with our non-profit. They get a negative 5 for not allowing us to get our down-payment back when the Delta virus came and shut everything down for everyone. I feel they should have offered it back with perhaps a small penalty but they did not so we were forced to have to use them a couple years later. I thought that was absolutely ridiculous. I told them that I would give an honest review. And this review is that.

Despite hearing positive feedback about them, we were disappointed with both the service and the pricing. While the food itself was satisfactory, the service fell short of our expectations. The staff, particularly the head staff member, displayed below-average professionalism and a snarky attitude. Additionally, the setup did not align with what was agreed upon and promised beforehand. Despite planning for 90 guests, the seating arrangements only accommodated 64, causing inconvenience and dissatisfaction among attendees. During the event, the catering staff were conspicuously absent, leaving us to pick up the slack and handle tasks that should have been their responsibility. Adding to our frustration was the unexpected 23% additional fee, which the catering company failed to justify adequately. When questioned about this fee, we were met with vague explanations about covering costs, which left us feeling misled because they also leave room for minimum of 16% tip that must be paid BEFORE experiencing their service. You do the math. Overall, while the venue itself was stunning, the experience with Shooby Doo catering staff left a lot to be desired. The combination of subpar service, unexplained fees, and high pricing makes it difficult to recommend their services to others. You still have to use them if you have an event at the Waterfront. Don't get the chocolate cookies, or the deviled eggs on toast. If you go for the fruit plate, this cost us $1,710 plus tax. ($19 a person). The empanadas were yummy, the beef sliders were finished, and people complimented the salmon in puff pastry.

I ordered the Tijuana Burrito with chicken. It is supposed to come with rice, cilantro, onions, lettuce, cheese and beans. Unfortunately, it was almost all rice and really bland. There was just one bite of chicken, almost none of their homemade beans and some lettuce. Then they did not seem to have any cheese, but did have some sour cream (maybe they ran out of cheese, but should have told people). The burrito was $19 and no excuse to pack it full of rice. This was really disappointing, the food vendors here are usually excellent (my wife was smarter and had a sandwich from Purple and loved it). Perhaps the tacos or Baja Bowl are better.

I got the 2 asada and 2 Soy chorizo as you can mix and match. The asada was good, not the best I've had when it comes to tacos and the seasoning I've had with comparable tacos, but the soy chorizo was really good. Very impressive flavor. It was about $16 I believe so about $4 a taco, not the most egregious I've seen in pricing, but decent. I also got bag of tortilla chips free, but they did give any salsa. The ones included for the tacos also were pretty small. That all said the food is decent and if you're looking for some food truck tacos and see Isidros, they'll do the trick.
