I got hungry so forgive my bitten last half of my bagel, lol.

Cute cozy bagel shop. I stopped in for an Asiago bagel with smoked fish spread. So yummy! I had them toast it and put the spread on rather than on the side and they did it perfectly to my liking (not too much, not too little). The staff were quick and friendly. I did go in on a Tuesday morning at 9:30a. Whenever I'm back in the area I'll try a different bagel.

Great array of options for bagels, shmears, and add ons. Nice outdoor sitting area. Super pet friendly and overall a perfect spot for a quick bagel in the AM

Old salt fish and bagels is on god my most fave place for lox bagels. Ever. I bring all of my friends and family whenever they're in town. Can't wait for my next visit!

Ordered a black sesame bagel with herb cream cheese and tomato. There was definitely a line, but it moved quickly, clearly a popular spot. The inside was nice, ordering was easy, and we grabbed a seat outside afterward which was really lovely. The bagel itself was really good. The black sesame had Aleppo chili baked in, which added such a fun kick, and the herb cream cheese was flavorful without being overpowering. Since tomatoes are in season, they were fresh and delicious, which made the whole thing feel bright and balanced. My only small downside was that the bagel was a little tough to chew, but that could also just be my sensitive teeth talking. Overall though, I'd come back.

Multiple people (and trusted ones, at that) recommended this place for bagels. I went on a Sunday morning and got an untoasted everything bagel (because if the bagel is good, it should stand on its own without toasting) with DF cream cheese and an Americano. The bagel was lacking flavor (don't come at me for not toasting it, because I stand by my previous statement) and it wasn't dense like a bagel should be. The coffee was good though.

Old Salt was ahead of the Seattle bagel renaissance. Paving the way for the new entrants that have made The Emerald City into a poppy-seed palace. It's a top tier bagel in terms of its taste, freshness, and texture. I would recommend coming in here and getting a bunch of bagels and schmear to go. That way, you can create your own sandwich with your preferred level of schmearing. Let's be clear here. I have trust issues when it comes to allowing someone else to schmear my bagel. I imagine that most people in Seattle don't want to be drowned in the cheesy goodness, but I want to be swimming in it. And the lox sandwich just didn't have enough for me. I'm assuming they do so in order to keep the flavor integrity of the salmon itself, and I completely understand that because it tastes amazing. If you want a nice little snack, the sandwiches are great. But if you're looking for a MEAL, then you might be disappointed by the size. That's no knock on Old Salt, they're churning out epic food over there.

This place makes me want to live in Wallingford. We went on a weekday around 11:30, and there was no one in line ahead or behind us. The bagels are the best bagels I've had in Seattle. The outside is crispy and chewy, and the inside is airy and fluffy. It is a satisfying experience. We also got a bag of dayolds, abd they toast perfectly fine at homs, too. The black sesame with aleppo pepper is really interesting- it's savory in a way that's hard to describe and quite unique. Cannot wait to go back!

Tucked into a little patio area shared with seawolf is Old Salt Fish and Bagels. Though seawolf garners most of the attention I would argue that Old Salt Fish and Bagels deserves just as much. The bagels they serve are almost as good as the ones from nj or nyc and the smoked fish is just the cherry on top. It is one of my go to breakfast spots!

Hot, tasty everything bagels and sandwiches, atmosphere is warm and inviting with that iconic fresh bagel-scent! Coffee is delicious- hard to find from the street , it is located in the courtyard of the SeaWolf bakery... go all the way to the back , come early ... gets busy but worth it!! Service staff are kind and helpful (I am handicapped) lovely young woman got me napkins even though they don't do table service- Thank you!!

Good flavor and texture (though smaller sized) bagels. Nice service flow. I would put them in the region's top three or four bagel places. However, they have a more limited range of bagel flavors than just about any other shop in the state. What disappointed me, though, were the schmears. They are overwhipped. Like WAY overwhipped. The fish (which they are known for) was underflavored. We could barely taste the fish. And the vege was over-flavored and bitter. I would definitely return for more bagels. But I would pass on the schmears

Bagel has egg wash But the insides are vegan bc I swapped the cashew spread for cream cheese on the veggie sandwich
    Shannon L.

VEGAN REVIEW ONLY The bagels are not vegan. They use an egg wash on all their bagels, I confirmed with them over Instagram after I posted a bagel and someone told me it wasn't vegan. Their menu has a vegan cashew spread, so it's pretty misleading that they don't mark anywhere that the bagels aren't vegan. Don't make the same mistake I did! They also have a veggie bagel sandwich that is vegetarian as listed, and as I ordered it, I asked if swapping the cream cheese for the cashew spread would make it vegan, which they incorrectly told me yes. Bummer!

The lox bagel is seriously AMAZING. Came here on a recommendation from a local who was saying 'this is how bagels should be made' They were right. Every bite was delightful. We stopped in on a Wednesday morning and there was no wait. The entrance is tucked back to the left of the restaurant, but signs on the street help let you know it's there. Paid $48 for 2 lox bagels and 2 coffees with a tip, so couldn't come here everyday for breakfast but would sure want to

Kippered salmon on an everything bagel
    Ber C.

Went on a rainy Sunday afternoon hankering for a bagel. There was a line, but it moved reasonably quickly. Opted for kippered salmon on an everything bagel, toasted. It was delicious and hit the spot. They had some seating inside that was full, but plenty of seats in the outdoor covered space with a fire pit that was much appreciated.

The sandwich shop is conveniently located in the heart of Phinney Ridge, a charming neighborhood with plenty of street parking and perfect for a stroll on a beautiful Seattle day. The interior reminds me of a new york style deli - while there is some seating available (I'd say around 10 spots), it's mostly a "grab and go eat elsewhere" like, say, the south end of greenlake. I ended up coming here during their expanded weekend hours - around 12pm on a Saturday - and was greeted to a large line of ~15 people. I was excited to try their "Bottega" sandwich however they were not longer making it so I settled on a Bambino and Gran Sasso sandwich. I enjoyed the bambino. The combination of toppings with the mortadella worked well within their homemade bread (which I thought was the best part for sure). The Gran Sasso - my girlfriend said it was "OK", mostly due to the huge chunks of artichoke hearts (with stems) that were not her favorite. I could see myself coming back here if friends/family wanted to try. At ~$20 a sandwich it is pricey but the ingredients are high quality and the service is friendly.

got the Notorious PIG sandwich and the Buttermilk Biscuit while I was here…read more Starting with the sandwich, there were a ton of things to love about this The very first thing I noticed was how all-time crispy the pork belly was. Interestingly, the meat came in two separate pieces, arranges somewhat like an X or a cross in the middle of the sandwich. This certainly wasn't the eating experience of a typical sandwich with a circular meat patty, and I appreciate the creativity here. The meat was insanely crunchy, oily, and quite plentiful. Each bite felt a bit like you were biting into a crunchy churro, but without the sweetness. I did think the outside of the pork did overpower the inside, though, as I didn't taste the meat or the fat inside much, and due to the amount of breading the pieces ended up being a bit chewy The bun was quite good as well - it was pretty soft, fluffy, and served as a really good bookend to all the ingredients inside. I thought the lettuce and onions also were good. I don't know if I'm a fan of the jelly on the sandwich - but again, I do like the creativity. What did shine here was the aioli, however. In a lot of places, you don't really taste the aioli on a burger - but that flavor was ever-present on this sandwich, and it was really fantastic. The absolute best part of the meal, by far, though, was the biscuit I have to start with how huge this is. This is certainly not the size of a typical Southern-style buttermilk biscuit - rather this biscuit makes no apologies in its effort to stand out from the crowd. Absolutely nobody would mistake this for a traditional biscuit - on the contrary, I think on first glance most people would assume this isn't a biscuit at all. It's shaped more like a massive pastry. I hesitate to say that looks are deceiving, because it does look great, but its taste manages to elevate past that. This was SO good. The edges are baked perfectly - they're oily, crispy, crunchy, and perfectly flaky. All four sides provide an amazing base - like the walls of a fortress that surround the soft, tender interior of the biscuit. You can see the different layers from the outside as well. When it comes to the inside, there was so much to get through but every bite was heavenly. So much credit here goes to the honey butter - which when spread onto the biscuit, raises the taste level of the entire thing. I put so much honey butter on mine that I nearly finished the whole thing. When it came to the jam, it was good, but since it didn't combine great with the honey butter I mostly ended up just using the latter This place was expensive - around 16 dollars for the sandwich and 8 for the biscuit - however, I was quite full at the end

Unfortunately, I didn't really feel any of the 'spices' that they claim to have marinated this in - there was a little bit of flavor but really just tasted like grilled chicken i could make at home. There was no spiciness to the patty at all. It was a bit too cooked too - i thought it could've been more juicy I thought the buns were average - they didn't seem to be toasted well if at all - and didn't really have a crunch like you'd associate with a well toasted bun The onions really came through in the burger - adding a really nice texture, and they combined with the pickles to replace some of the missing flavor from the patty The cheese was above average as well The good thing about the sauce was there was a lot of it. The bad thing is that it really didn't add anything except being slightly sweet and softening up the burger buns a bit. A better sauce would've improved the buns a lot Lastly, the Oreo Shake. I thought this was fantastic - there were clearly a ton of blended oreos in. It wasn't as thick as I would've liked - felt more like a liquid - but you could really feel the oreo flavor with every sip. The best part was the end - when there were just a bunch of half-blended oreos sitting at the bottom and you had to eat them with a spoon because the straw wouldn't suck them up as far as portion size - i was pretty full after eating, but that might be more due to the shake than the burger. Probably a little overpriced. In my opinion, the grilled chicken burgers should be cheaper than the beef ones

Oh, and a vodka lemonade - you can get cocktails delivered via DoorDash! Everything was super good, especially the chili cheese dog. They were really generous with the chili (a full cup of it) and it was delicious. The lemonade is made from scratch and I really enjoyed that, as well - not too sweet. When we did takeout, we each got a sandwich, and we also got a Chicago dog, "chum bucket" w/ tots, and a handful of cocktails. I'd had kind of a bad week and was basically like, I don't even care, let's just get whatever we want even if it's an insane amount of stuff, haha. They do single serving craft cocktails for takeout in little cans, which is pretty cool. And they were SO GOOD (all with very clever nautical-themed names). I think our favorite was the "No Ship Sherlock" seasonal Moscow mule. The Chicago dog was amazing - based on this and my previous chili cheese dog, I can say without hesitation that their hotdogs are 100% 10/10. The "chum bucket" tots were also really good, and again came with a very generous full cup of chili. I hate to say it because everything else was so good, but the sandwiches were pretty disappointing for the price, we both thought. I had a tuna sandwich and my bf had a veggie sandwich. They used fresh, quality ingredients, but both sandwiches were kind of bland, and a lot smaller than we were expecting for $14 apiece. That's the only reason I dropped a star, but aside from that, they are 5 star all the way. So, we would not revisit the sandwiches, but hotdogs and cocktails HELL YES YES YES!! Anything involving the chili is also highly recommended. And although I didn't really go into detail about it, chicken tenders were good, too (there were more in there than what the photo shows) - crispy and well-seasoned, and more than what I was expecting.
