Carbone's deserves a much higher rating - like our 5! My husband says it was a 5 Plus. We visited the restaurant mid-day during the week and ordered two 10" pan pizzas, mostly because we like different toppings. The pizzas were GREAT! Perfectly done, hot, not too long a wait, and very DELICIOUS! The 10" pan pizzas are enough for 2 people, even though they're labeled "personal." Tables were clean and well stocked. Waiter was friendly and efficient. There are enough TV screens to make any sports fan keep from staring at the wall, and they were not tuned to be overly loud. I'll admit, the reviews had me a bit nervous to try this place out but my in-laws were in town and they wanted to swing by this place so we gave it a shot. I'm glad we did! This place is exactly what I like - a dive bar/restaurant. This place isn't going to win any Michelin star awards but it is going to give you a good atmosphere to watch the game, 2-4-1's, pull tabs, and greasy food. If you aren't looking for that, this probably isn't your place. But if you are, I'd suggest giving it a try! Will this be a regular staple in our restaurant routines, probably not. However, if the in-laws are in town again and want to come back I won't oppose. The food was delicious and our server was very attentive and friendly. Yes, the crowd wasn't my favorite, but it wasn't as bad as some of the prior reviews have indicated so maybe things have changed a bit over the years. We called the restaurant right away and were told that the wings had been cooked exactly how they always are and that they would "leave a note with my name" for free wings in the future. Sometimes has limited-edition local beers on tap to try out. Clearly a local hangout. The crowd is mostly residents from nearby apartments and condos. Lots of marijuana supporters, judging by the smell coming from the patio. Loud. Almost always loud. Saturday nights are crazy, both because the usual suspects are joined by the karaoke crowd. A lot of people have zero handle on their liquor, so the chances of witnessing a fight increase exponentially simply from overconsumption by people who are drowning their present or past in a bottle - or ten. The ratio of times I've witnessed either a fight or a medical situation from someone hitting their head in a drunken stupor is awkwardly high for the number of times I've visited. Bad enough to warrant police and ambulance visits. Super fun. Good thing the main bartender has really thick skin to deal with it all on a weekly basis. This is the best Carbone's pizza I've had in a long time and I've been eating Carbone's on and off for more than 20 years. One thing I will add is that the different locations are not consistent, which is why I say this one is the best. Ordered delivery last Friday at my brother's new place and we got one sausage/mushroom and another pepperoni. Legit! Almost too much cheese, perfectly cooked, with a great, solid, but thin crust. Went here on a Sunday to watch football. TV set up was very good. Got the basic burger & fries, which was good. Only downside was it didn't seem to have NFL Sunday Ticket, just the two broadcast games were available to watch, but with NFL Network on some TVs was able to keep up pretty well. read more

It is with a great regret that I have to write a review like this. The establishment itself isn't the greatest. It's a small, hole-in-the-wall location; nothing special. My friend works here, I'd like it stated that this has absolutely nothing to do with the food or the drinks (which are always poured well). It's about a bartender who allowed a group of patrons to be become so intoxicated that they were allowed to sit at a bar and agree wonderfully with each other on their close-minded and racist ideas. While we live in America and our country was built on the principal of a free exchange of ideas... and while they have the right to say the things they were saying... this is a restaurant. Not a living room. The bartender, Josh, barely batted an eye, did nothing to alleviate the situation at all. It wasn't until one of them, sporting, in true fashion, a bandana, told my African-American friend; "If you don't like it, go back to Africa"... that a mother with a small child (who was playing pinball) asked them to stop. At that point the patron said; "Well, it's a bar". There was a man who was running food out, he asked the man (this was his first warning) to quiet down, which he did momentarily. After being threatened with physical violence, having racist adjectives and a few others hurled our way, I closed my tab, tipped Josh, introduced myself and asked why it was allowed to continue for as long as it had been. His response? "What do you want me to do about it?", arms out to his side, shoulders raised. I expressed that I also work in the same industry and the level of drunk that these folks were allowed to maintain was willfully inappropriate. There were many options. He could have intervened, asked them to leave or simply stopped serving them alcohol. This upset him and we were asked to leave. So, what can I ask from Carbone's in Burnsville? Terminate that employee. Any bartender that allows the patrons at the end of a bar to be threatened, subject to racism at the behest of 'regulars' should not be allowed to sling alcohol in a family restaurant. This isn't about who's in office or anything of the sort. It's about a standard of service. read more

I hate writing bad reviews, but man, this was SO disappointing. When Carbone's used to be located down the street in the larger building, the food/service/ambiance was all good. It was definitely a sports bar back then (big screens, pull tabs and all) but it was still a nice spot to sit down and have a meal with friends or family. It certainly is not now. My boyfriend, his father, and I came here Sunday evening for some pizza & to watch the Badgers/Gophers game. The place wasn't too crowded when we arrived, but within half an hour it was packed full of people. Tables were not being cleared or cleaned, and I watched multiple families come in and look around for somewhere to sit, only to turn around and leave. In large part this was because the staff consisted of one person manning the pull tab table, one bartender, and ONE server for the entire restaurant. This poor man was practically sprinting between tables, the bar, and the kitchen. He was easily serving 15+ tables all alone. On a night where there was both a huge basketball game & a Wild game happening, you'd think that a SPORTS BAR would be properly staffed for such an evening. The pizzas we ordered tasted fine, but nothing special. I usually love Carbone's pizza, but these were just lackluster. The pizzas were on special however, a large one topping for only $8, so at least we felt it was priced appropriately. The ambiance of this new space left a LOT to be desired. It didn't help that the entire bar smelled like spilled beer & stale cigarette smoke. I'm from rural Wisconsin and am quite used to sports bars being really basic, but even this was surprising. The noise level was absolutely insane- we couldn't even hold a conversation over the blaring TVs (commercials were not muted, or even replaced with music, like most decent sports bars). This was our first time at the Burnsville Carbone's. We typically order from the Savage location which is really good. My husband, son and I walked in at 6:45 on a Saturday night. No host to greet us, just a sign that said "please seat yourself". We found a stop towards the back where we finally found a table that had been cleaned off. We waited, and waited, and waited some more. The server that kept walking by is wouldn't even glance in our direction. Our table was so wobbly I had to use a huge stack of napkins to try and fix it. i went there a couple of saturdays ago for the karaoke and was robbed of my $20 i'm which i was unable to drink the 2 drinks i had ordered. i reported that i was unable to drink them and requested my $20 back. they were rude unwilling to help me and worst above that is that while i was recording a video of the situation. because of their lack of customer service. inability to be empathetic towards my situation that i am disabled and really shouldn't have ordered them and didn't even take a sip out of it. there was a girl pointing and laughing at me and bringing me to tears. when i asked them to make her stop. they did absolutely nothing. instead, out of nowhere, this server who is clearly a meth head comes around behind me. wraps her arm around my neck! pulling me off of my stool and threw my phone over to the karaoke leader! she continued to choke me and i told her to "let me go!" this is assault! the other staff did nothing to intervene or help me! she had me in a chokehold for a good minute and then once i said assault! and stated that " this is illegal! you're assaulting a customer and now you're goin to steal my phone!?" then all the people who encircled us im which i feared they too were going to gang up on me. the girl with my phone said to my abuser. " let her go! let her go!" while her grip tightens and she attempts to push my head down by her waste. again, she says, " let her go she is not worth it!" finally she let's go and i snatched my phone back from the karaoke directors hands and i said " im calling the cop's!!!!" i got immediately on my phone and reported the assault! i am half way out the door and i hear the staff saying, oh you're calling the cops!? we are calling the cops!" i stepped outside and there were 6 male cops! or men dressed up as cops because i couldn't believe what transpired after that. the cops asked me what happened and i told them the true story of what really happened. i couldn't believe that they had the audacity to ask. " what did you do to make that happen?" as if its my fault i got assaulted!!!! i reminded them that i had been assaulted, that i am disabled that they were rude the whole time i was there and swindled my last $20 then assaulted me for catching on to them! i asked them why aren't you arresting her! she assaulted me! i did not one thing that would make it okay to assault me. those assholes looked at my neck and said " i don't see any marks and they are claiming you assaulted her! which was completely unjust and a total lie. i reminded them that i called first to report the assault. they replied that they did. which was another unbelievable lie! because i was in my phone first and irregardless i was assaulted by someone who is smoking meth! two illegal things charges! i told them that they need to go check the damn cameras. why would i lie about anything! especially being assaulted by an employee! nothing happened to her! the cops refused to let me....the victim to go to the hospital to get checked out! i cant believe any of this happened but am beyond mad with carbone's management for allowing people this to happen! no apology. shr went home uncharged ...i will be pressing charges and i warn any one who isn't in the clique there on saturday nights. to find anywhere else to go! onto the bbb to report this again to true professionals! i have been a customer of carbones since i was a child and i have never been treated with so much disrespect in my life! the poor customer service was one thing the refusal to allow me mote than one song while all these people are regulars and come all the time. i can only afford to maybe go out somewhere once every 3 months. read more

Let's start With the fact that my food took two hours to deliver to my home and not to mention that they scheduled a delivery driver that wasn't even working and then it took an additional hour after they found out that the driver wasn't working. The only reason it isn't a one is because I have had a few items there that are good but after last night man will I always stick to what I know is good. First the appatizer, soggy and just no good at all. There was only a few crispy pieces in it they didn't let it cool at all before packing it up to go. The spaghetti was I can't even. The noodle to sauce distrabution. I could have had another side of plain noodles and still have sauce left over after that plus the fact that it had an odd taste to it and packed with tinfoil on the bottom. I had to stop eating it after I saw the tin foil was shredded and mixed in with the food! The salad I also ordered Cobb for like 9 bucks not even worth 3. First of all of your going to used bagged salad make sure it is fresh and not slimy and brown and wilted. Secondly if I wanted a salad from the bag I would have gone into my fridge and made one. The hardest thing you had to do was open the damn bag. Sadly you have gone down in status of being known for good food. You need to have a nice long chat with your staff. Last time I stepped foot in there service took forever to just get a soda and the sound of your waitress chomping on her gum was was gross if I wanted to see someone chew openly like that I would have gone to a farm and watch a cow chew. read more

Not impressed! One thing I like to do is try pizza at new places I go. Ordered a large pan pizza and cheesy bread w/ marinara sauce. The crust is absolutely amazing!!! The sauce and cheese have no flavor to them and the cheesy bread was under cooked, way too much cheese and bland. The marinara sauce also very bland. The service was descent and service was quicker then the 50 minutes I was told over the phone. Would not recommend or be a repeat customer. Gave 2 stars because the crust really is that incredible!! OK pizza, bad chicken. Ordered via Door Dash on Friday, June 5, 2020. Ordered a large meat lovers delight pizza and a 8 piece boneless wings. The pizza was OK. The wings were like trying to gnaw through wood shavings or horse hide, and the celery was actually rotten. One piece of the celery had begun to actually rot, which made me question if they even washed it. They certainly did not look at it. The boneless chicken appears to be made in-house, but apparently was fully cooked before being stripped off the bone, breaded and then deep fried, which caused it to dry out entirely. The flavor of the sauce was all right but the chicken was so dry it was not edible. I'm pretty tired of crap food from restaurants so I won't be back. First, multiple tables in the back corner are completely unstable, (they have been this way for a while, and still remain the same, if not worse). It took almost 20 minutes to receive our drinks after ordering, so we missed the chance at ordering another round during 2-4-1's. We ordered pizza which was less than the usual quality, way too much cheese so it was very messy. The plates that we got to use were all different sizes and 2 of them were clearly dirty as we could see sauce and cheese residue.(or not washed properly). Lastly our server was brutal. My first thought was that this was definatley not as comfortable as it was before-- very dark and gloomy atmosphere! Bumpers was kind of a neighborhood bar. I am not sure what this is supposed to be. I do like the televisions and the new bar, but the way the rest of the place is set up is confusing! This was our first time at Carbone's Burnsville. We had the Lunch buffet, which was salad bar/Pizza and a pasta. The price was right, food was just OK....but this place is a bit too dirty, dark, and dingy for me. The glass front door looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months, and when walking out, noticed the popcorn machine ...so filthy and greasy, obviously hadn't been cleaned in a long time. We will drive the extra miles to go to the Carbone's in Lakeville in the future. read more
