We were in the mood for Pho, so we stopped in to this local spot! Plenty of parking in the strip mall lot! The space inside is clean and sizeable, although generic. We've been a few times now and have never had to wait for a table. The servers are all very friendly and helpful. Their egg rolls are a star: crispy, crunchy, and filled with a lovely blend! We also ordered the Chicken Pho, which is surprisingly not on the menu. But they will make it for you with their beef broth soup! Comes with all the fixings and everything is fresh and ready! We made the trip here because it was one of the only pho places open late on a Saturday night. It was highly recommended by friends so we were excited to try it. The initial welcome was weak, we were left waiting at the front without even a glance from the gal at the front desk for about 5 minutes. We were finally seated and again not welcomed for several more minutes. There were very few patrons at 8:30PM. We decided on pho, beef stir fry, shrimp spring rolls, and cream cheese wontons. The food was nice and hot, felt like good quality but seemed to be lacking flavor in general. I'd stop again if I was in the area, it was a comfortable place to enjoy a hot meal at a decent price. Parking: Plenty of free parking as this place is located in a strip mall. Vibes: From what I could see from past reviews, they remodeled. This had a very clean but basic vibe to it. We sat down and ate here for dinner on a Sunday evening. Seating is plentiful and they have a host. It's very open and simple inside without much decor. Food came out quickly. We tried the spring rolls and chicken wings first. It came with two large spring rolls cut in half and peanut sauce. The spring rolls and sauce were pretty awful. There wasn't any cilantro or carrot in the spring rolls and it was so bland. The chicken wings were nice and crispy and I liked the sweet sauce that came with it. I got the seafood pan fried noodle. It was ok (3/5). The shrimp, veggies, and noodles were all decent taste wise (3/5), but the squid was a little chewy (2/5). The portion was pretty massive (5/5)! Someone else in my party got a chicken dish, which I tried a bit of, and it was not good (2/5). They didn't eat much of it or ask for a box. There is a pretty deep menu, so perhaps some options are better than others. The service was good (4/5), and the interior of the restaurant is relatively standard. What I ordered: lunch special hot and sour tofu soup ( yummy, even had pineapple in it), egg roll ( super good with fish sauce dipping sauce), Mock Duck with vegetables consisting of bok choy, carrots, pea pods, brocolli without onions and fried rice. The fried rice is made properly here with scrambled egg and peas. All for $11.95. Spouse had chicken chowmein, veg soup, chicken wings and also liked a lot. The soup doesn't really seem necessary as they do put plastic around it for takeout. My only suggestion is to add bahn mi sandwiches. Very extensive menu with a lot of variety. Big restaurant to accommodate large and small groups. My server was funny, I have a friend who also works there and I asked him if she was working that night. This is one of my favorite spots for takeout in Burnsville! The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I've only gotten takeout, but they do have a spacious dining room if you prefer to dine in. There is a large parking lot out front so no issues with parking. They have a great lunch special for just under $12 that comes with soup, an appetizer, an entree and rice. My go-to order is the chicken lomein and egg rolls. Hands down my favorite egg rolls! The only down side is that if you're ordering takeout you do have to call in your order as they don't have online ordering. read more

I recently started working in Burnsville and still on a quest to find our go-to Vietnamese restaurant for lunch. What intrigued us to order from Cam Ranh Bay was their lunch special, such a great deal!! There was 6 of us that ordered different lunch specials and all of us had the same experience with our food, some parts were good, but no one finished (nor planned to finish) their meals. For the lunch option you get a soup, appetizer, and entree for $10.95! I chose the egg drop soup and I thought it was very bland. I chose an eggroll as my app, and it was pretty good! For my entree I tried the pork over rice noodle. The meat was flavorful, so I did finish that, but the rest of the meal just wasn't hitting the spot. The flavors just weren't all there even though I was wanting to love it so much! The price was good but I'd rather pay more $ and order from the favorites section of the menu. The vegetable soup consisted of a few veggies in a flavorful broth. It tasted very clean and healthy. We picked up lunch today for 5 of us. The food was awful. We had sweet and sour chicken that was tough and cold, the cream cheese wantons were cold and hard. Out of the 5 meals we ordered, 5 were thrown away. We used to go there often because the food was so good, however we had not been back for a couple years, and will never go back again. A Vietnamese Asian restaurant a mile down the Burnsville CR42 strip, you'll find easy parking. The place is huge! Its decorated in the most basic "Asian restaurant" theme, and very clean. There is definitely family working together here, and theyre super efficient. I dont think ive ever waited 15 minutes for food even when they're packed. We were regular customers of this restaurant pre COVID. We used to love getting the banh xeo here, it was abnormally big and had a lot of great stuffing with pork, shrimp and bean sprouts. The pho was decent here but not anything memorable. The reason why I am rating a 3/5 is due to my most recent experience. I noticed prices went up significantly for the appetizers. For example, the spring rolls are now close to $8 and they used to be around $4-5. I bought only two orders of spring rolls to go and spent $18, which is about $1-2 more than some other pho restaurants in nearby suburbs. The spring rolls had quite a lot of lettuce and not as much noodles or meat either so that was disappointing. They don't give you peanut sauce either, just hoisin which is interesting. read more

Have ordered take out meals in the past with good success! This past Saturday a twenty minute wait turned into a 55 minute wait. Waiting area was hot and restaurant seemed very busy. Our meals were both Chicken and Steak.. Chicken was large chunks overly cooked until dry and tasteless. Steak was chunky, very tough and hard to chew, and not tasty. And our server was very helpful, particularly when I ordered something I didn't know how to eat. With thanks to her, I can definitely recommend the Rice Pan Cake (Bánh Xèo). It's a huge super thin rice cake wrapped around shrimp pork and veggies. Pieces of this you roll in a lettuce leaf with mint and devour with a smile on your face. Cam Ranh Bay is a regular place my family goes to when wanting Chinese food. The dining space is always immaculate and clean - the staff are always friendly and attentive. We got a couple of the appetizer platters which were fantastic and a great portion for a group of 5 adults and a toddler to nibble on while waiting for entrees. I ordered a wine and the first one I asked for, they didn't have. Same for the second and third choice. No biggie - I'm not a wine connoisseur so I settled for another red and it was fine. My sister in law ordered a soda and never got it but when we asked to have it removed from the receipt, he did so and also brought her a bottle of her requested soda which was nice. Our entrees were tasty (like always) and everything is always cooked perfectly. Some places skimp out on meat but not here, they do it right and it's delicious each time.
