But we've been following their social media accounts for some time now, so we finally made the 2 hour drive out here last month. The drive back seemed even longer after the awful customer service we had. I was honestly in disbelief. We just left empty handed. The fact that I'm still thinking about this experience a month later and had to come on yelp to write a 1-star review makes me realize we should've never jumped in our car to visit this shop. All their pokemon prices are high. Singles are alright(check for damages before purchasing). Wouldn't recommend trading either. 40-50% trade value or store credit even if you have high value cards the most they'll do is 50%. Most shops trade 60-75%. Heck if you negotiate with other shops they'll give wiggle room for 80% if you have a card over 100%. Have some patience and get a better deal somewhere else. I know business has to make profit but there are many other competitors with way better prices and customer service. Though customer service was fine they never failed to recommended a card over 100$. It just feels so money hungry. read more

Honestly one of my favorite shops since moving to the valley four years ago. Teddy is an absolute legend!!!! He is friendly, knowledgeable,relatable and has amazing customer service. I purchased a nearly $200 item from this company on eBay, for a celebrity client. They sent it so poorly that the flimsy envelope arrived totally empty, with a USPS notice on the front of the envelope stating it arrived to them empty. The Company refused to do anything about this. They made me jump through crazy hoops for months and did nothing for me, leaving me to foot the bill. They kept trying to insist eBay was on the hook for this mess, and refused to take any personal responsibility for it. I believe this was a scam. They have every player you could ever want and a huge collection of all Lakers, Dodgers and Kings signed memorabilia from every decade. They have baseball, basketball, football and hockey cards as well those Pokemon, Magic etc. You have to be a very patient owner in this business as everyone and their grandma thinks a Barry Bonds rookie is a rare gem and when call or show up at any shop the owner has to bring them to reality they tend to get mad. I actually crack up reading some of the online shop reviews. Sorry Grandma you cannot go to Boca on vacation when you uncover a 1990's sportscard collection. Was down in Los Angeles area and heard about this place to get good deals on autographs. I stopped in on my last business trip (flew into Burbank) and went looking for some gifts. I met the owner and he spent a lot of time with me showing me all kinds of amazing stuff. I picked out some Magic Johnson items (a basketball and photo - he even had a signed baseball). I've always worried about buying a fake but the owner showed me pictures of him and Magic at the shop signing autographs. He also guaranteed my autographs being authentic for life. I laughed and said, "you could be out of business in a year and I'm screwed." He was funny and said "No, I'm screwed if I'm out of business, because I've been doing this for 20 years and my livelihood, family and reputation depend on this place.." He was very authentic, and you don't have the amazing stuff he has (baseball, football, basketball and even Tiger Woods shoes) without being legit. read more

I was browsing online for a Christmas gift when I came across a large collage of James Cagney from all his gangster movies. Right smack in the middle is an 8x10 James Cagney hand signed autographed photo from the movie Angels with Dirty Faces. I knew this would be the perfect gift but because it was sold through Amazon from a third party I was a bit skeptical. Plus, I'm always suspicious of ANY autographed item sold. So I did tons of research online, looked at all types of reviews, YouTube videos, etc., and decided to take a risk and I'm glad I did. After receiving the Letter of Authentication (LOA) that came with the collage, I did verify with PSA/DNA that the signature and LOA are legit. Phew! They don't even issue LOAs like that anymore. Awesome. Unfortunately, the delivery didn't go too well and I witnessed the delivery person literally rolling the fragile-marked package across my lawn; needless to say, the glass was shattered when I opened the box. I contacted Mike and he immediately made arrangements to have the collage reframed. It really impressed me how professional, timely and communicative Cardboard Legends was during the whole process especially during the holidays. I bought a signed Game of thrones poster from them on eBay. I asked specifically for them to pack it well, as I knew there is no replacing it as it's a rare and expensive item, one that I wanted for over year. It arrived in a padded envelope with only 2 thin pieces of cardboard and a top loader protecting it. No surprise to anyone, except the owner, it arrived damaged and not as described in the eBay listing. Now normally I'd send it back but since it was rare, I told them I wanted to keep it but thought is was more than fair to receive a partial refund. This was absolutely unacceptable to them. They only wanted me to ship it back to them for a full refund. Alright, so I ask call and ask eBay if there is anything they are willing to do and they responded that they'd offer them to waive the final purchase fee if they were to send me any kind of partial refund. I was still turned down as I was assured that it was shipped from them perfectly and since it arrived damaged it was USPS fault not theirs. I then explained to them that it doesn't matter if they shipped it in perfect condition if they do not properly pack the poster for ME to receive it in perfect condition. Especially appalling when you consider the heavy cost of the poster. Still, nothing. I was told they ship thousands of photos and they rarely arrived damaged. I work in a shipping department myself and if I were to send a poster out like that in an padded envelope I would have had hell to pay. Simply putting it in a frame box would have prevented any such damage. The terrible customer service then implied, once I paid for a frame I wouldn't be able to see any damage. So putting extra money into it will fix the problem we caused but will refuse to compensate for. I was left with no choice but to leave a negative eBay review... that they had removed swiftly. I write here to warn potential customers that they do not properly ship their items, regardless of cost and also the horrible customer service will do nothing to help you.
