Customer service is above and beyond the selection and variety is amazing. The customer service again is super amazing. I had to mention that twice the prices and what you get for your value are amazing financing department is amazing. This place is just pretty amazing.

When your word is worth less than your profit margin, you've made a series of very bad decisions.

I purchased a car that was only a few months old earlier this year. The day I bought it, I messaged the sales person because there was an issue with the internal components. The moment the sale was closed, he was difficult to get ahold of. After multiple follow-ups, I finally heard back. From there, I had to follow-up with the service team. They had me bring my car in. I took a half day off of work and drove an hour to get it inspected. They confirmed that something was wrong and said they'd order in the part to fix it free of cost. A while later, I got a message saying that the part was in. I messaged a few times to try and book and appointment and didn't hear back. Instead of losing another half day of work, I ended up calling their team and booking the repair at the time of my next oil change. I gave the person on the phone the name of my service rep, and the backstory. She confirmed she'd have it all setup for me to get the work done. On the morning of the scheduled repair, I had a suspicion that I was dealing with a less than honest team, so I called in to confirm that we were still on. My service rep answered the phone, and was immediately rude and dismissive. He ended with "don't come in, I need to get this figured out". He then proceeded to never follow up. I called back a few days later and he said "we need you to bring it in so we can inspect it again and then give you a quote on the repair". For those wondering, this is how wimpy people say that they plan on charging you despite committing to do the work for free. I decided not to deal with the middle man anymore and asked to speak to the service manager. He assured me I'd hear back from the service manager as soon as he was back in the office. Guess who hasn't reached out to me since? I've now left voicemails, and followed up multiple times. Nothing. Long story short, I try to put myself in the head of someone who disappoints their clients for a living, and I can't imagine how they can feel anything other than self loathing. I do not recommend buying from or working with anyone related to Cardinal Way Mazda. If you want a realistic view of the customer experience working with them, I encourage you to read the yelp reviews for either of their two locations. Snakes will be snakes.

This place is cut throat and scandalous. Went to finance a car. Traded in 2 cars for a new Mazda. 2 and a half weeks later still no financing. Asked Kevin the sales manager if I can walk away after he told me that my new car payment will be coming due, and I will still have to pay the old one because the deal isn't financed yet. He said NO. He kept saying the bank is just slow that I'm going to get financed. I told him I did not have that kind of money to be able to make both car payments especially since the new vehicle was a 2025 Mazda three hatch. I got in contact with an attorney and an old friend of mine who is a finance manager. He told me to let them know that I have contacted an attorney and then I'm going to then proceeded to contact the attorney general if they do not release my vehicles to me since they do not have a finalized contract. Within five minutes Kevin, the service manager at Mazda told me to come pick up my vehicles and bring the other one in. He proceeded to tell me he had to locate them, and I could come in the next day. He then proceeded to let me know that they sold one of them, which was obviously done illegally since they didn't own it. The trade-in value for that particular vehicle that was sold was $8200. I told him I wanted my vehicle back or 6000 so that I could get a running car as I use that particular vehicle for work. He called me and said we cannot do that. We're gonna give you $1000 for the car plus your other vehicle back otherwise we will just proceed with financing when we find a bank to accept you. This meant more lingering and more drama and hassle. I did converse with my lawyer and a finance manager. I know, the finance manager and the lawyer both told me to tell them that I want 8200 or the vehicle back or we will go to Court but I decided to walk away since the lawyer fees Would have left me. It would have just been the principal I was fighting for.. so underdress I went and signed the paperwork to sign over the vehicle and sell it to them for $1000. Of course they wouldn't release my other vehicle to me which is a 2017 Volkswagen GTI until I signed over the scion essentially holding it hostage. This really happened exactly like I'm saying it. The GM seems like a piece of crap too. Kevin seemed to like a good guy, but I guess sometimes you don't know until you're in the thick of a deal how somebody's gonna treat you. For the record another finance person I think he's the finance manager for this Mazda dealership when I wanted to walk away from the deal gave me a scolding lesson talking to me in a very inappropriate way about this right and depending on me, it means the world to the sales people. His name was Brandon. Brandon proceeded to tell me how I can't do this to him and do that to us "us being the dealership"! so now I have $1000 to try and come up with a new vehicle so this will take me a while so that I can use it for work. They took my work car, a car that Kelly blue booked for about $3200 however it was something that was a Toyota product that I maintained religiously and it would've lasted me another two years of work. The value was not simply of the vehicle. It was what they took from me which was a work car. This place is absolutely disgusting and I think it's very important people know about my experience. Sure, some may have a good experience but for things to happen the way they did to me and have them basically threaten me with continuing on with the loan that I had legal rights to get out of since they were unable to fund me so far after 2 1/2 weeks and then illegally sell my car at an auction when they didn't own it they essentially stole from me and the only reason I'm not taking legal action is I don't feel like walking away when it's done. I should not say I'm not going to get a lawyer involved. I should say I likely will not. My goal is just to come up with another work vehicle that these pieces of crap left me without. Do not go here I'm telling you. You not believe how many times they strung me along saying the bank was slow and after I called the bank the bank told me that they sent the contract back essentially denying me because they weren't interested in the deal. Nothing but liars and snakes at this location

Best experience at a dealership so far! Ivan and Justus took great care of me. I told Ivan and the General Manager what I wanted to pay for a brand new Mazda3 Preferred and they made it happen quick and easy. I am very happy with the customer service, professionalism and the deal we made. Ask for Ivan and you won't regret choosing this dealer. Big thank you to the Cardinaleway team!

Purchased a stunning white Mazda CX5 Premium with parchment interior this past week at Cardinale Way. Their sales team is top notch, no bs, best price in town. Let me tell you I did my research and negotiation with 3 dealerships Paul the Sales Manager and Kyle the GM DELIVERED! This is my 2nd purchase at this location and had the same experience 5 years ago. Looking for quality service? Then highly suggest stopping here!

As a female, I know how I have been scammed by mechanics. So I found true value in Christian Brothers Automotive-Peoria, Lake Pleasant Pkwy! I found this establishment via word of mouth from all the way in Michigan. Their reputation precedes itself. They are honest, knowledgeable, fair and they provide quality service. Tom, and the entire staff served with a smile. Overall, I would highly recommend this Christian Brother Automotive to anyone. We'll stick with them!

Without indicating there was ANY cost involved whatsoever, Front Desk Guy sweetly asked "would you like us to give it a once-over?" Which, since I was at that time a regular customer, I THOUGHT that meant just give it a safety-check out of courtesy to a repeat, publicly complimentary, senior-citizen client that they maybe cared for! How wrong I was. After having it several days, they tell me that they can't fix the original problem because they "Couldn't find the part - and wouldn't install an after-market part off of Ebay" (My car is a 1999 w/ low mileage) Then the real Clinker after 3 days: They call and say, "We couldn't fix your problem, but come and get your truck and pay Christian Bro's nearly $200 bucks for a "diagnostic" that I WAS NOT INFORMED UP FRONT would cost anything at all! But also, this 'Diagnostic' informs me that my truck needs OVER $4300 DOLLARS in servicings and repairs - Including NEW BRAKES that, apparently the "Diagnostic expert" wasn't aware had been replaced by them on that very truck a few months earlier! I felt totally taken advantage of and complained to the manager, John, who gave me some "yada yada" and stated that that particular employee working the front desk was fired - However, and this is the whole point of the story - This manager of this multi-million dollar, allegedly 'Christian', gold-mine on the corner of Thunderbird & 75th Ave would NOT refund all, or any part, of this deceitful charge with a humble apology for their unscrupulous employee (note: Failure to disclose a COST right up front is a LIE ) Not only that, but Upsell #1 opened the door for MEGA-UPSELL #2 of $4,319 dollars! I STILL look back at this lengthy report with shock and awe. According to this diagnostic that I didn't ask for, there's no reason, whatsoever, my truck is still able to roll down the street. According to them, practically EVERYTHING on my vehicle is on it's last couple of miles.; Lastly, and final insult to my patronage, my age, my intelligence, nor would Christian Brothers even offer a discount or a half-off on the next visit to them. You know, a way of saying, "We still want your business". I think they saw a senior-woman and saw a dumb sucker ready to be plucked out of the stream of suckers. In that lone experience, I learned Christian Brothers is all about "Show me the $ MONEY $" They are only after the money, and customer retention is completely moot. They could care LESS if you are a returning customer. I am no longer using Christian Brothers for any auto repair needs. If anyone knows of an HONEST, caring, competent auto mechanic around Peoria/Glendale please be so kind as to DM me. I'm shopping for one. **I tried to scan & copy the actual Invoice from this incident, but for some technological mystery beyond me - I couldn't get this file search in Yelp to access where I am sure I put the two files.**

However, I am very disappointed with the level of expertise and outcome of the visit. My 2014 Jeep compass has had the check engine light on for a week, steering locked up last week, and has had delayed clicking start. Justin arrived, I gave him the full history of my vehicle (no problems for 10 years) and the issues occurring the last month or so which prompted the call. He started running tests, even drove the car around to see if he could replicate what I had been experiencing. About 30 minutes into the visit he said he couldn't replicate any of the issues; that's okay, as I mentioned it only happened about 50% of the time. But he sat in my car another 20-30 minutes or so, told me he had to call his boss because he was completely stumped. Not really what you want to hear, but even I started making suggestions of what it could be so he could at least do something for me. At the end of the visit he basically just said "sorry I have no idea what's wrong, maybe replace your battery?"... the only thing he found was a sensor on my engine needed replacement, but it's totally unrelated to the other issues. I ended up having to pay $150 for literally no better idea what's wrong with my car and not feeling any safer to drive it. It was a huge waste of my time and now I'm out $150, and I still had to take it to another shop that already figured out the problem not even 24 hours later. Save yourself some money and go to a real auto shop. I understand that some technicians may be learning or lack the knowledge to dive deeper, but someone should be going with them to assist so your customers aren't left feeling robbed and confused.

I had asked my son to get it towed to this location because it was right next to the hospital where he works. When the car was towed there, it was already closed. The next day, a guy by the name of Craig called me. He said he does not know why the car was there. I explained what happened over the phone as I do not live in that area. He then first said there will be a diagnostic fee over about $200 but I will get a discount as I am a AAA member. I reluctantly agreed as the rate for diagnose was pretty steep. I've seen shops charge maybe around $60-80 and I thought that was high. Now this shop charged $200 I thought to myself. My son had to drop off the keys and as soon as he did that, I got a call back from the shop. Not the same guy I spoke with but now a guy named Michael. Michael explained to me that the radiator and fans needs to be replaced. Head gasket was blown and likely need engine replacement. He went further to say that the engine would fail compression test and would likely return even if fixed so not worth keep putting money into it. I then asked him "Do you have picture of the blown head gasket you're speaking of?" He then said "No I do not" He then went on to say that he knows of someone who can salvage the car and would pay out few hundred dollars for it. He went further to say that on the condition that it has a clean title (in other words, no salvage or otherwise. Wait, why does it matter whether it's clean or not, if your friend is going to part it out??!!) Something in my inner voice told me to just say "I will think about it". I then immediately called my son. It seems that Michael had asserted similar problems about the car. So we chatted a bit and decided it would be better to get it towed to my house so we can get a better picture. So my son went to the shop before closing to pay the diagnostics fee and to get the key. He then called me saying "Michael" was rather upset that he went to pick up the car (amusingly). We both agreed that this guy Michael was shady. He knows of this friend that he used to have vehicles salvaged (red flag) for number years (those poor customers who got baited into his "doom and gloom"). He will take it and part it out (yikes). While we were talking, Michael kept saying he did not appreciate that I was insinuating a possible misinformation about the diagnosis. He then asked me "do you know how many years I've worked here?" That's not the issue. Though my fault that when I called, I got a bit heated but I later apologized. But even before I had finished talking, he said "this call is done" then hung up. I called back and apologetically asked if the diagnose was done by him. While asking him the question, I told him that if I had hung up on my customer just because the customer was upset, does not matter who's fault it was, I'd probably be fired on the spot. While I was speaking, he kept interrupting me so I had to keep saying "can I finish speaking then you can speak?" When I pressed him who had diagnosed the vehicle, whether it was him or Craig, he hesitatingly said it was a guy named Rodney. Then I asked him why I did not get a report of the diagnosis. To cut to the chase, he said he will scan the report and email it within 15minutes. Now it's been several hours on Saturday 5/9/2026 and still have not seen the report he had promised to send within 15 minutes or so. This all feels surreal as how can AAA do this to me and my son! 5/18 Update: Lakshmi Pal from AAA Customer Relations contacted me via BBB case ID 24844257. She's trying to spin it like a repair issue. Nope, it was the shop trying commit fraud of taking my son's Acura under false pretenses. Neither of us received official diagnostics report. 5/13 Update: After Zach's Garage of Tucson changed the thermostat and the radiator (see attached photos) it's now running smoother than ever before. By the way, I've reported this shop to AG of Arizona. I am now contemplating to press criminal charges against this shop. 5/12 Update: Still no report received. My trusted mechanic just called me saying it needs new radiator and thermostat ($639.23+$207.28, incl. labor), and he replaced them and now running perfect. Michael failed at his illicit attempt to commit fraud to a AAA member. BTW, to date, AAA never reached out to me about this. 5/11 Update: Michael still has not sent report. 5/10 Update: Car was towed back to our house. Car started up just fine, no smoke, or no weird smell. Seems to run very smoothly like a Honda engine should. I will get it checked out by my local "trusted mechanic" and update this review as soon as I have it. 5/9 Update: It is now 16:27 MST (Phoenix Time) Saturday, 5/9/2026, and business is closed (closes at 4PM on Saturday). I never did receive the report he had promised to email at around 8:15AM this morning.

They initially charged me $100 for diagnostics and a refrigerant top-off, then told me I needed a new compressor and quoted approximately $1,200. I dropped the vehicle off on Tuesday. By Wednesday and Thursday, they still had not identified the issue, but they continued replacing parts including the compressor, condenser with receiver drier, premium line kit, secondary rear AC expansion valve, blend door actuator, cabin filter, and recharged the AC system. By Friday, the vehicle was still not repaired, and they ultimately determined that the battery was bad and not providing enough amperage to properly run the AC system. They replaced the battery and told me the issue was fixed, which naturally made me question whether all of the previously replaced parts were actually necessary. The total had also increased to approximately $2,500, and at no point during the process was I contacted for approval on the additional repairs and charges. When I picked up the vehicle Friday evening, the AC was still blowing hot air. In addition, the vehicle was revving abnormally both while driving and while sitting in neutral. It is now Tuesday, and my messages have gone unanswered. On Saturday, I brought the vehicle to Infiniti for another opinion. I was told that the AC system had been overcharged by 1.73 lbs of refrigerant, which they said was causing the issues I experienced after picking the car up. I understand that diagnosing AC problems can be difficult and unexpected issues can happen, but the lack of communication, failure to request approval for major additional repairs, and returning the vehicle in worse condition than when it was dropped off made this a very disappointing experience.
