I had a positive experience with Careful Movers This was going to be my first ever big move and I was really nervous, but after doing weeks of research, and meeting with multiple other moving companies, I picked Careful Movers and couldn't be happier with my decision   My main point of contact was Ruben who was ready for any and all questions I had, and boy!!! did I have a lot. I appreciate all of his reassurances as it was going to be my first big move and I was very nervous just about everything, additionally I also had very specific and special requests as I had multiple destinations, but the team was very receptive and assured me it was no problem and at no additional cost! After we got the details down on the phone and virtually, we did a virtual tour of all my packed items and furnitures. Had a minor snaffu here as Ruben let me know that I had to empty out our packed plastic drawers as part of their policy is to move only empty furnitures. No problem here as we still had a bit of time to repack a few things. This is why virtual tour is important! Afterwards, had contact with Joel to reconfirm everything for the team to come out on Saturday morning 8-9am. Then it was a matter of waiting until game day   Aaron contacted me bright and early on Saturday 7:45 to give me their ETA and they arrived promptly at 8:15. It was a pretty gloomy day with impending rain, but the team moved so fast we avoided getting any rain on any item! The team was Aaron, Edwin, and Fernando, and never had I seen people move so fast while carrying boxes. I was so worried they wouldn't be able to handle the heavier boxes, but they handled them all so swiftly and carefully. They wrapped up all furnitures with moving blankets, big cerrain wrap looking plastics and sometimes pad with even more cardboards. Dismounted our big TV no problem, and put it into way more protective layer than when we first purchased it! The only difficulty they ran into was the treadmill they had to take down a flight of stairs that was really, really, really tight, around two shoulders width, so understandably there were some minor damages to the walls. Nothing a bit of paint can't fix. Then we parted ways as each of us had to make our long distance drive of almost 400miles. Aaron contacted me in the evening to let me know they arrived safely and will be ready to unload by 8:30AM the next day. I love how prompt and communicative he is in the steps and next steps, so I was never left wondering what's going to happen next. Only Aaron and Edwin arrived for the unloading but they were more than enough. Both continue to be professional and proactively offered me if we wanted floor runners to protect our floor (we did) and proceeded to unload all of the stuff in such an orderly fashion! We directed them to put all of our boxes in our garage so we could take our time to unpack, and they organized everything to make sure all boxes are accessible by making a clear path to them, and made sure to not stack the boxes too high so we could open everything at our waist level comfortably. Everything went as smoothly as possible! Even the part of unloading my bed at a different location, and reassembling and moving my other bed from one room to another. It's honestly hard to imagine a better moving experience than the one I had with Careful Movers. For the price we were quoted, I expected much less and got much, MUCH more than I could have dreamed. My husband and I moved from our apartment of 15 years to a new home in Carmel, nearly 100 miles away. I was incredibly anxious because I haven't moved since college, and I had tons of stuff and no idea what to expect from a moving company. I pre-purchased all the supplies they might need and even made a number of trips beforehand, simply because I was not sure how much we could expect them to fit in the truck. When Ismael, Jose, and Gustavo arrived (on time, of course!), I couldn't believe my eyes. They had this beautiful, gigantic truck that could have fit my whole apartment-- which was so much more than I expected for the price we were quoted! They brought all their own supplies and needed nothing from us from start to finish. Our three moving experts were absolutely incredible. They were like superheros! They did everything with such speed-- carefully wrapping our furniture, packing our closet (which we didn't think would fit so we hadn't packed ourselves), re-taping the boxes we did a terrible job with. They handled our stairs in the rain without any issue or complaints. They did not waste a single second of time, and encouraged us to give them anything we could. Bonus: they were so friendly! When we got to the new house, they moved us in quickly and unwrapped everything they wrapped, taking all the refuse with them and reassembling anything they took apart. They were also careful to put everything exactly where we wanted it. The biggest thing I have to thank them for is their willingness to bring our gigantic, heavy-as-hell treadmill down a flight of stairs at the new house. We had a friend take it apart and drive it down from Menlo Park because it was too huge to get through a door. He took it to our garage at our new place, but we were putting off actually moving it down a flight of stairs to its final location. We took a chance and asked them if they would do it, and they agreed willingly, as if it were no issue! They truly did not have to do this. They somehow (super human strength) carried it down the stairs, and when it wouldn't fit through the final door, I told them to just leave it in the hall-- we could take it apart and do it ourselves later. They refused to leave without finishing the task! They ended up taking the door off, which was truly above and beyond. In the end, we were charged even less than quoted, which I cannot believe given the level of professionalism and service. I did not use their packing services --- after my move I wish I had. So, the moving service is very automated in terms of how they quote and communicate. You speak to a person to receive a quote. My move was small, so no one came out to actually view my home. The move was within the state of California. Honestly, the quote was higher for me but the circumstances made it acceptable. The interactions with the people and the automation of the scheduling were really well done. They have it down to a process and it shows. The bottom line is the company communicates well both people to people and via the software. The moving team themselves were lovely. They wore masks at all times in my home. The team was efficient and careful and communicated well. All very important. At one point, I asked them to pay special attention to a 20 yo cactus I had.
