I initially heard about them from a fellow self employed musician who was having concerns about losing their affordable healthcare through Obamacare - since I, at 34, was considered "old" by most insurance companies' standards, just getting a basic plan, let alone any catastrophic care was so expensive, I'd have to refinance my house just to pay for my coverage not to mention my husband's. I didn't think there was any other way. With Dr. Steve's and his team, I don't have to worry about it anymore. If I have a problem, I just text or call and they take care of it. If I need to come for a visit, it's taken care of - I have had everything from my well visits with their OB to standard blood tests to full on allergy panels, minor procedures, support tracking down Lyme and Thyroid issues.... the works - my husband had two surgeries this past year and the after-care support from Dr. Steve's was unreal. They go above and beyond and you're treated like a person, not a paycheck. This is the way healthcare is supposed to be.

I was floored. Helen was understanding and kind. She formulated a plan for me including medications along with dietary and exercise changes. Helen and Christy from day one supported me completely! Each visit they both provided words of encouragement and helped keep me motivated. After 3 months it was time for updated blood work. I am elated to say that all my numbers have dropped dramatically! People with this gain a lot of weight from lymphatic fluid. It can't be dieted away and can't be exercised away and there's no cure. He was rude, disrespectful, uncompassionate, and just downright mean. He blames me for my Lymphedema. He said if I'd lose weight, my Lymphedema will go away. If he knew about Lymphedema, he'd know that's not true. He asked me if I had ever watched the show, "My 600 pound life" and said most everything that is wrong with me is my fault because I'm fat! I was 115 pounds until I got sick. He even cursed at me when I told him that my symptoms started with my first pregnancy saying "that don't mean shit!" . By the time he left the room, I'm crying and we left. My mom and boyfriend were with me. My mom turned him in. I've never been so insulted and embarrassed by a doctor. I'm not saying that I don't need to lose weight, but the condition I have had greatly contributed to my weight along with the list of my other ailments. I'm not stupid! This condition is life changing (to the worse) and I am trying to find a doctor who knows more about it than I do. In constant pain, anxiety and depression, having a doctor treat me like this, harms instead of help.

I had an appointment scheduled for this morning that was converted to a virtual visit due to the…read moreweather. The only communication I received indicated that the visit would be virtual and that I could request a change if needed; however, no appointment link was provided. Five minutes before my 8:00 a.m. appointment, I called because I still had not received the link and was told it would be sent. At approximately 8:04 a.m., a nurse called to check me in. I explained that I still had not received the link and expressed concern about the process. The nurse responded that if I was "going to be difficult," the appointment could be rescheduled. When I explained that I had the right to raise concerns as a patient, the call was disconnected. I called back and was later connected with another nurse. It became apparent that she knew the first nurse and formed an opinion based on only part of the situation. She spoke over me, and when I pointed this out and informed her that she was being biased, she also disconnected the call. I have always been patient and understanding regarding cancellations, delays, and wait times, but being spoken to disrespectfully and having calls disconnected is unacceptable. I have had a great doctor at this practice, which makes this experience particularly disappointing. Respectful communication matters to me, and after this incident, I no longer feel comfortable continuing my care here. I have since reached out to a new provider. I am sharing this not out of anger, but because no patient should be treated this way for speaking up regarding a flawed process.

I had a stroke at a young age; and it's been a journey but thanks to these ladies it's been I breath of fresh air; I completely love them they are so kind!!! And they actually CARE ABOUT YOU!!
