Weird is all I can say. The website is really slow and sometimes you click on an option and all it shows is a blank page. My doctor recommended the pharmacy and sent a prescription for a topical foam. Carepoint sent me an e-mail telling me $35 was due. I went to the website and uploaded my Medicare Part D insurance card and waited a couple of days. No contact other than a reminder to check out and pay $35. No contact info on the website, so I had to google it. Their phone number is 1-855-237-9112. They did answer promptly and the first person spoke English well without a thick accent. I asked whether they got my insurance info and they said they are "out of network" for Humana. Weird. I went to the checkout and it had a disclaimer I had to check off saying something like I would agree not to file an out-of-network claim for this medication with any insurance company. What was that all about? I exited out of that screen and tried the "my prescriptions" screen again and got a blank screen. Maybe it is my computer or adblock or resetting cookies or something. It is weirdly slow. So I go to "checkout" again and instead of $35 it says the total due is over $1600!! There is no "logout" option on the website, so if you try to exit and go back in, it has you as logged in. I checked my "profile" and it had, as my e-mail address *******@carepointfake.com (where ****** was a bunch of numbers). Carepointfake? What does that even mean? Maybe there is a website glitch, but I am glad I exited out of that site as $1600 is a lot for a topical foam. I can scratch for a lot less. It was just WEIRD and when I googled "carepoint pharmacy scam" I got a lot of interesting hits. I just tried clicking on "checkout" and all it says is "Continue" and when I hit the button, nothing happens. WEIRD! UPDATE: The website is called an "app" on their main web page. So I tried to use it on my phone with even weirder results - the login page had prompts missing and the word "LOGIN"was garbled. See attached photo. Maybe my phone is out of date? Customer service is dreadful. Unfortunately this is only one of 3 pharmacies that will fill my migraine meds. As a specialty pharmacy, they should be able to help people having insurance issues. Instead they lied to me that I could get it for $10 a month and then refused to fill it the following month. I have spoken with the manufacturer of this drug and have provided feedback that the pharmacies they use for their meds are useless and unwilling to help their patients. I'm giving them three stars only because I'd be paying over $500 for my prescription if they weren't filling it. I'm giving three stars instead of five because of how the billing department is run. I assumed that, because they had my credit card for my other prescription, they would automatically use that card for my new one. Despite the constant(every day) emails Ive been getting, nothing showed up until today that I still needed to add my card....BUT I've been getting daily phone calls from "Carepoint Pharmacy" asking for my credit card number. I thought the calls were another scam, because surely a "real" pharmacy would not ask for your credit card number over the phone. There's no way in hell I'm giving anyone that calls me my credit card number. so, because of this, the delivery of my meds have been delayed and I'm not sure I'll get them before the samples my doctor gave me runs out. This has to be the most incompetent mail order pharmacy I have ever dealt with. No sense of urgency whatsoever. Our vet submitted an expedited prescription for our dog on Monday. They sent over a payment link that didn't work initially and would not populate after inputting the payment info. Then, I did not receive any confirmation or receipt after paying. Spoke with a tech and he said it would ship next day even though there was no option when ordering to select a shipping method, as well as no mention of a predetermined shipping method. Spoke with them this morning and asked for the info and they told me they are waiting on the vet to confirm dosage. Carepoint is filling my Rx for $60, instead of the $700+ it was going to cost me since my insurance didn't want to cover the medicine prescribed by my dermatologist. Thankfully I do not need this medication too often. I remember needing it several years back and it was cheaper then, but $60 is still tons better than $700. Carepoint called me about an hour after my doctor visit and left me a message to call them back about my prescription. I was informed that my insurance wouldn't cover the medication, not even the generic. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! Carepoint Pharmacy does not do good business. I had a prescription filled and had a question about the cost. I sent a message with the prescription about my confusion on the cose. I thought they were charging me for the entire length of the prescription, but it turned out to be for just one unit. It cost me more than half of my social security check for the month. I tried to return it for a refund as the tube was not opened, but they flatly refused. This is bad business. The absolute WORST customer service i have EVER experienced in my 50 years. Not only were they rude, one hung up on me. The other sounded like she was driving and I was bothering her. I then asked to speak to a Manager and it sounded like she just put the phone down. I waited 15 mins and then hung up and called back. I kept getting conflicting prices on how much i had to pay. Literally each representative (5 in all over 2 days) gave me different prices. They should honestly be ashamed of how they treat their customers. She picked my accent and made our communication choppy and uncomfortable. Used a condescending tone, and was very impatient.. I've been waiting on my refill for 9 days now. They charged my credit card (it shows up as MD EXAM on my statement) but the drugs haven't arrived. I don't live in a remote area, and they got my money, so there is absolutely no reason for it to take this long to arrive. I talked to a human the first time I called, the second time I called and used the refill request robot. I also sent a message via the "Contact Us" form on the website. After reading the piss-poor reviews on here I doubt that I will ever get what I paid for. This company seems to be wasting a lot of people's time, energy and money, including mine. read more

I called and checked on my med and they said they haven't delivered it because there are no refills left. Ok, my mistake. But would it kill you to call me or send me an email and let me know? I called a few months ago to place a refill order, it takes them almost a week and sometimes more to get the meds at my place in Riverside, California so I paid $20 more to have it over night, it took 3 days to get here...when it was guaranty over night... Taking new medications can be tough but when using Carepoint it makes the process painless. Specifically, I order a medication from Carepoint that I'm not able to get from other pharmacies. The customer service is wonderful and super helpful. I have just called to talk to a pharmacist with a question and they were extremely kind and informative. This place is a complete joke. My dermatologist, for whatever reason, sent them my prescription. Carepoint is a mail order pharmacy, and based on what my doctor told me they have contracts with drug companies and as a result it's cheaper than my copay would be, or even free, and blah blah blah. I will admit I don't know all of the details about their business model, but that's not really relevant right now. Since there was no copay and they were in the suburbs, I decided to give them a try. Well, you get what you pay for. And since I paid nothing... The first time I spoke to them to confirm my address, the girl I talked to wasn't really friendly at all. Attitude aside, she asked me if I wanted to be set up for auto refills and I said yes. Fast forward to 30 days later, and I am out of pills and don't have my first refill. I called them on a Saturday morning to find out what was going on, and my refill wasn't even set to ship until the following Monday, and then I was at the mercy of USPS to deliver it quickly. Hey, Carepoint - you're a pharmacy. Yet clearly you don't understand how prescriptions work, and going several days without medicine isn't how it's supposed to work. So one of two things happened: - they shorted me pills, because why else would I run out (I definitely wasn't taking any extra) - they are completely incompetent and think it's okay for someone to just miss a few days of medication I asked them to transfer my prescription to Walgreens so I could get it refilled that day, but I was told they couldn't because it was a Saturday and there wasn't anyone there who could do it. Great business model, Carepoint. Really. The guy I spoke to said he would do it on Monday and would call me to confirm it was done. I think we all know where this is going. I got no phone call on Monday, so I called them. No one seemed to have any idea why I would want to transfer my prescription, and they also didn't know who I spoke to on Saturday. Shocking. They kept saying a woman's name must have been who I spoke to, even though I had definitely talked to a man. After some more hassle, my prescriptions are transferred and I can wash my hands of this place. SHADY... something doesn't add up here and I have reason to believe that our doctors are receiving kickbacks from either CarePoint or the drug manufacturers who distribute through CarePoint mail-order pharmacy...There seems to be a connection among the other reviewers that indicates a SCAM may be primarily with DERMATOLOGIST. The drug manufacturer that I SUSPECT to be involved is, McKESSON. My gut began telling me that something is seriously wrong here when months ago I started seeing a new Dermatologist whom was part of the same larger corporate healthgroup that the rest of my other providers belong to. My pharmacy of choice is in their system, Epic, and is where all of my other providers always, WITHOUT QUESTION, Only confirmation, send all of my Rx. For some reason, my new Dermatologist didn't even ask me, she just sent my Rx for my topical Plexion and Avar, (both manufactured by MCKESSON), to CarePoint, WHILE she sent my the other two Rx (1 topical, "Retin-A", a non-McKESSON Rx, and one oral tablet Rx),bover to Walgreen's, which she interestingly CONFIRMED to be my preferred pharmacy. All the while she never mentioned CarePoint. When I went.to Walgreen's I was surprised to have only 2 Rx ready for pick-up until all of a sudden I received a strange text from a place called CarePoint telling me that "your order has been, processed please call 855-237-9112 to complete your order". I called and spoke with a rep, and This is when my gut started telling me, HEY, LISTEN!! The rep informed me that he needed my insurance and payment info and then asked for a mailing address. When I provided my address he.imformed me that he could not ship outside of IL and WI...ANOTHER GUT CHECK... After giving him my sister's address in IL, he informed me that it would be sent out and I should receive it in 5-7 business days. I asked how much my card was going to be charged for the Rx and was.informed $475! WHAT THE GUT-K!! I said NO THANK YOU, and he told me my insurance didn't cover the medication so I told him to PLEASE CANCEL. This is when he asked me to hold and then suddenly he found a MANUFACTURERS COUPON that would allow me.to.purchase the Rx for only $40 and asked if that would be OK? Holy crap! Am I buying a used car or a life altering Perscription Rx Medication!?!?! I went along with it and paid the $40 and.6 days later the Rx showed up...The WRONG Rx. Same brand, but different product from the same line. Of course, I couldn't return it. Shady and my gut is hating on me because it kept trying to warn me... Now fast forward... I called my Dermatologist and requested another Rx for the right Rx and to be called into Walgreen's...her nurse said no prob, but, she told me that CarePoint was the only pharmacy that carries this particular Rx...(another gut check and confirmed to be BS later). I received another text from CarePoint so again I called. Again, same questions and this time I was told that I had to pay out of pocket bc my.insurance company did not participate with CarePoint (ANOTHER RED FLAG). This time I was told $788 would be do and I was like, (Are you "Gut"king kidding me!!) I asked about the manufacturers coupon used last time since it was same mfg and product line and I was told the coupon was no longer valid. (Nice, get me hooked now rob me!) I started calling around to other pharmacies to see if they carried this Rx and ALL SAID YES AND THEY HAD IT IN STOCK!! WALMART took my insurance and it would only cost me $15 co-pays! WTF. I called Walmart and asked them to call CarePoint and transfer my Rx which they did and my gut was happy...UNTIL NOW! SAME THING THIS FOLLOW-UP with my Dermatologist. I said I loved the Lotion and wanted a refill. She said great, but there is a NEW Lotion that is the SAME MEDICATION, but the, "COMPANY" is now sending them this NEW Rx to offer. She would NOT refill my old one and instead gave me samples for the new one and "CALLED IN" my new Rx to....(CAREPOINT)!! Today The Same BS continued as above and that is why I came to Yelp. I did a Google search for, "CarePoint Prescribing Provider Kickbacks and Scams" I.saw the previous reviews and felt compelled to add one location g one of my own. My dermatologist (Dermatology and Aesthetics of Wicker Park), suggested I fill my Rx with this pharmacy like many other reviewers. My dr said that my pharmacy might not fill this Rx because it is considered a specialty product. Carepoint, like CVS, does not accept my insurance for the Rx, but instead of offering a generic option like CVS does, the woman on the phone told me that my face wash does not come in a generic, (a $400 face wash after coupons!!); a lie considering the empty bottle of generic is sitting in my bathroom. Beware of this pharmacy, they receive the same coupons you can ask your dermatologist for. Take those coupons to CVS or your pharmacist for more honest service. Really bad customer service. I received a text that my order was processed however when clicking the link I discovered the information they have for me is incorrect. So I called the pharmacy. The lady who answered the phone was very rude. I didn't like how she talked over me, not listening. Then she asked the same question that I tried to explain to her in the beginning of the conversation when she wasn't listening. My dermatologist sent 3 prescriptions for me to Carepoint. One of my prescriptions didn't get filled. Maybe it was my fault - I verified them online using my phone so I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt on that. However, by the time my prescriptions were delivered and I realized one was missing, it was Friday. Carepoint said the missing one wouldn't be delivered until the following Tuesday. I needed it sooner so I let them know I'd need to transfer it to a local pharmacy. My local Walgreens called twice that day to get it transferred and both times they were told there was no pharmacist in duty, only technicians, and the transfer must come from a pharmacist. How is that even legal?? Now it's Friday night and they're not even open until Monday. Why would my doctor send my prescriptions there when I've never used this pharmacy before? Is he getting kickbacks from referring new patients? Probably. That's total BS. This is a scam. I URGE you not to use this company. When I first got the prescription filled, I received a text message that lead me to their website, where I was able to fill the prescription. Well, when it was time to refill, again, got the text message, however, 1 or my 3 scripts were not listed on there (and it happened to be the only 1 I actually needed). When I called them, they said ok they can order the 3rd one for me, but I needed to give them my credit card info right then. I thought that was very strange, so I asked if I could get the text and I'll just complete it like last time. Then, no text message so I call and they said that they do not do refills online, refills can ONLY be filled by calling. I was SO CONFUSED by this because I legit just got the text for the refills for the other two prescriptions!!! This person was so confused and said that it was very strange and I shouldn't be able to refill prescriptions via their online system. First of all, why in gods name would you not be able to do refills online if every thing else was able to be handled online. Second of all, why did she not know that you CAN indeed do this. And third, why would I want to deal with a company that I have to pick up the phone and make a phone call when I need a prescription. I haven't had to do business over the phone in like a year or two. Anyway, she said the reason you aren't able to order refills online is because it would be a HIPPA violation to store credit card violations. I said...thats funny, because it legit says "Would you like to use the credit card we have on file" and I was able to click yes and order. (Mind you, I didn't even want to refill those prescriptions I just wanted to prove she was wrong. My doctor called in Rx on 6/5/18...it's now 6/8/18 & I still do not have. Called pharmacy to cancel order because no longer need medication, my condition was worsening & doctor gave me other medication. They said it was too late because they had now shipped. I asked if I could return unopened package & they said "NO". I asked them to recall the shipment & they said they had no way of doing that, which I find hard to believe because I work for a company that ships eye care products every day & we have the capability of recalling shipments. My dermatologist sent my prescription here because he said it would be "cheaper" than a CVS or Walgreens. I paid over the phone on a Thursday and they said I would receive a confirmation email/receipt and that I would receive my prescription on Monday. It is Tuesday. No confirmation email. I have used several pharmacies in my time in the Chicagoland area and CarePoint is thee best in the business. They are in it to get the best prices for their patients and they delivered to my door for free! Unlike Walgreens, or any other pharmacy for that matter.... They actually filled the product I wanted and was prescribed. They did not try to switch me to something else that would benefit them, they listened to my doctors order. Above that, the staff was super helpful and I have also heard great things about the owners of this pharmacy. I will never go anywhere else! read more

I had a tremendous experience with Carepoint! My dermatologist recommended that I fill my prescriptions through them, and it was terrific! Wren, who helped me through the process, was very patient and helpful. The prescriptions, which should have been very expensive, ended up being affordable courtesy of the coupons and discounts that Carepoint offered. I would definitely use their service again! read more
