This dealership has to have the most negligent and careless customer service experience I've ever had. I purchased a used vehicle back in January with a warranty I was assured was the same coverage a new vehicle had. Their sales team was prompt in getting the sale and financing, as well as delivering and taking care of the registration, but that's where the convenience ended. A few days later, I realized the heated seats didn't work. It wasn't labeled on the sale page and I was assured every used vehicle went through a 'full check'. I called about it, and was bounced to the service department. They said they couldnt do anything without the P&S agreement. The sales team said they would mail everything [Reg, P&S, warranty], and I would have it in a few days. 12 days later, they send just the registration. Over the next few weeks, I was bounced between different people as to who actually had it, who would send it to me, etc etc. I finally spoke to someone who could find it and email it, conveniently after the 30 grace. I brought the car to another dealer who would run the warranty, only to find that the bumper to bumper, that I was assured would cover all electrical and mechanical components wasnt covered. The backend experience of this has been God awful. I cannot for the life of me figure out how this place has above 4 stars. Completely careless team, disorganized, and inconsistent leadership. Wow! I can't say how easy it was to deal with Cargill. I live 45 minutes away and I was able to do EVERYTHING online (From selecting my 2020 Equinox to getting the best price). Best part was dealing with Charlie Gleavy, told him what I was looking for and my price range and we got the deal over the phone and they even delivered my new vehicle amd picked up my old one. Had the engine light come on in my vehicle, took it to Auto Zone and the staff was able to hook up a diagnostic test and found the problem. I then called the dealer, found it was a common problem in the Chevy Trax and it would be covered. Went in to the appt and was greeted by a male manager, gave him the diagnostic report and was told that a diagnostic test would be performed to find the problem and "if" it was covered, then they would fix it. I asked about the person I spoke with on the phone that said "it was a common problem" and he said he had no clue if that was it and became very condescending and talking down to me. He was putting on an aggressive sell and I wanted the part replaced and nothing more. He wrote up the new slip, and in the end, the mechanic confirmed it was a common problem, it was replaced free and engine light was off. We as women should not be treated like we are stupid and don't understand when there are ways to save money and not be bullied into paying more than we need. I bought a chevy Colorado ZR2 From Cargill Chevrolet in Putnam Connecticut. It was used 2019. It had 31000 miles on it. I loved as soon as I seen it. I knew I wanted.it at first galce the Sales department Did everything they could to get me home in that day and they Did. I traded in my jeep Grand cherokee which I was in love with too I put money down and everything. And I drove home in the truck. Not even a week after I had the trck i had to bring it in because I Was hearing noises In the front end, the guy said he couldn't replicate the noise but they did fix the adjuster for the steering column because the steering column was locked up.Then a couple of weeks later. Brought it back cause of the noise in the front end was getting worse The service manager Nick, who at the time was working with me said he would have his guys look at it they had it for 2 weeks They gave it back a couple weeks later. And no sooner did I drive out there parking lot the noise was there clear as day I went right back and had nick the service manager take a drive with me as I was driving he was telling me that the squeaking was birds chirping we got back to cargill and with out having even touch the brakes or gas pedal while coasting through the parking lot the squeaking noise was louder than ever he looks at me and says we are chasing different noises are you kidding me Ive heard the noise since I bought the truck and he knows cause i deal with him every time then he tells me bring it back friday but doesn't have a loaner vehicle for me so what i cant go to work cause your techs and master mechanic are not doing there jobs and or lie to customers about whats really going on with there certified used truck I was the sucker they seen coming and they sold me a used truck for a brand new price I think for $50000 or better. Buyer beware:i bought a 2021 Chevy Silverado that is 2 days old on a flat bed with 200 miles on it. Cargill has not been helpful in the least bit telling both myself and GM headquarters there's "nothing more they can do" They initially told me they would replace the part in a few days ( a brand new truck shouldn't need a part first of all) Then after not hearing from them I called and they said it could be weeks. They gave me a loaner that is basically a go cart on truck wheels and told me that was comparable. Which it is far from. They then told me I couldn't return it which is not true according to the consumer rights act. If you're thinking about buying a vehicle from them think twice, they will not stand by it. I bought a 2020 gmc Sierra for myself and a 2019 ram 1500 for my brother from them. within 24 hours the ram dash lit up like a Christmas tree, we had to have it towed to cargill and they had it for a week and couldn't figure it out so they sent it to their dodge sister company called shoreline. shoreline had it for two weeks. October 31 they finally said the truck was all set so my brother had to drive almost 2 hours one way to get the truck from shoreline. when he got there the issue wasn't dealt with at all and the truck wouldn't start. finally after roughly 15 minutes he got the truck started. the ride home the truck wouldn't leave 1st gear and he had to tow it home. the truck has been on and off not starting and we let cargill know what part it was and they said they ordered it. it's now 12/13 and the truck still isn't starting and we still haven't gotten the part from them and they won't even answer my calls anymore. all these issues with the ram and I'm still having a issue with my gmc that they claimed they said they fixed as well. they are by far the worst dealer I have ever worked with and I'm not even sure their service department has any idea to fix anything. read more

I contacted this dealership at 8am inquiring about the availability of a car. They told me it was available and I expressed great interest asking for it to be put on hold. I also said very outright that I'm ready to buy right now. Alina then passed me off to their salesman Aaron. I explain that I'm currently at work and have been trying to find this exact car for some time now. I let him know that if the car is truly available I'll try and leave work early and drive three hours from NY to come get it. I asked a handful of questions and Aaron kept giving very short answers and only answering one thing that was asked and ignoring the rest. Someone came In on their day off to cover for me so I headed to the dealership and informed Aaron. Very conveniently two and a half hours into my three hour drive he starts texting me and called me letting me know the car is no longer available and offered me an OLDER car for nearly $4000 more. Thanks for baiting me out three hours to pressure me into dropping me more money o the hope that I'd spend it because I drove so far. I am 17 and was looking for my first vehicle. I went on Cargills website and found a bunch of vehicles in my price range. When I came down Andre and Tony both assisted me with looking at the vehicles and test driving all of them. They gave me helpful specific information on each vehicle to assist with my decision of which on suits me. Everything was timely and organized. Both also gave great tips on features that I wouldn't have know to look for or use. Overall it was a great experience that wasn't overwhelming or complicated. HORRIBLE experience. Taken advantage of every step of the way. 1. Unnecessarily damaged my credit score without my permission (FIVE hard inquiries) 2. Hid thousands of dollars worth of bumper damage and refused to do anything about it once it was discovered. 3. Lied (possibly unknowingly) that the vehicle had a feature that it did not (lane departure warning), but once it was brought to their attention, they ignored me and didn't do anything about it. Not even an apology for providing misinformation. 4. Charged a HIDDEN $600 documentation fee! Never informed of it, and it wasn't included in the purchase price. Basically a shady tactic to increase profit. REFUSED to refund. 5. Failed to refund the $500 test drive fee until I notified them for a second time, even though they had told me the specific day that they were going to refund it (and didn't). 6. Paid $900 for 10 full details and they only did the exterior when I brought it down the first time. When I brought it to their attention, all I got was a "sorry." 7. AVOID the salesman named JON JACKEL. He does not care about the customer. He pretends to care about your needs, then completely flip flops once he has sold you the vehicle. SHADY SALESMAN. I love the car itself, but this poor experience has made me bitter to it and it's become very difficult to enjoy it. I am completely disappointed with my service from Cargill. I went in to buy a used car, and Stacy was my car salesman. He took advantage of me because I am a young girl and tried to add things onto my loan without my knowledge of how much the price of anything was. There was a scratch on the car and he told me they would do anything they could ot get as much of the scratch out as possible. I came back the next day and it wasn't even touched. He had the car detailed and services at the very last second. He was very unorganized through the whole process. Made me come back several times. He also told me he was going to have someone come to me more than once, I cleared my schedule and then he proceeded to tell me that nobody could come that day and that we needed to pick another day. Think twice before having your car serviced here! I purchased my 2015 Chevy Tahoe from Cargill 2 years ago and love it. Unfortunately, the power lift gate failed and I brought it back for repairs. The service department had the car while I waited and informed me that the power arm and module was broken - $1200 repair and this was not a common thing. I am glad that I did my due diligence and got a second opinion from a smaller shop. Only the power arm had failed and not the module which Cargill should have known being a certified service shop. I got this fixed for half the price that Cargill quoted. If they tried to do this to me, rest assured they are doing it to others and getting away with it. You figure that there would be some loyalty to their and the automobile's that they sell them. I have zero trust in them and most likely will not be doing any future business. read more

I took the afternoon off of work and waited for them to arrive. The expected arrival time came and went, so I called and Glenn Morin dodged every single one of my calls. The car was supposed to come at 1:30pm, at 6:30pm, after 5 hours of getting the run around, I was told that no one could bring the car to me that day, but the car would be in my driveway first thing the next morning. at 10am the next morning, i was told that the car was sold the evening before. LIES!!! LIES!!! LIES!!!! Had Glenn Morin just provided customer service from the BEGINNING by answering my phone calls and emails in a timely manner and told me that no one could bring the vehicle, i could have just gone there myself as originally planned! Instead he made me take a day off of work and wait around all day never knowing if the car was actually on its way or not.; so i was afraid to start driving to CT in case the car was already on its way. Ok, so I wait...1 hour later, a guy comes out to tell me they cannot do any inspections right now. Their computers aren't connecting to the internet so they can't do the job. I understand computer issues aren't in their control, BUT informing a customer waiting should have been the first thing they did! I should not have waited for an hour to find out a job that takes 5 mins cannot be done! He was quick with me and barely made eye contact. It was as if I was wasting his time because I wanted to take advantage of one of the offers of his dealership. They gave me the sticker that listed a feature on it that did not come with the vehicle I purchased which I did not realize until after I drove off with it. Was told I would have a sprayed in bed-liner installed when I picked it up as part of the sale, was not ready at time of pick up and I needed to come back. Then, a week later the top right camber adjustment bolt fell out. They would not replace- I had to order it. Here we are a few months later and today I discovered BOTH top bolts have fallen out! I'm giving 2 stars because this is a second hand experience through my Fiance and I was not there to witness it. HOWEVER, based on other reviews I have no reason to believe it didn't happen. My fiance went to Cargil to have a recall fixed on her ignition in her Chevy. She had two other concerns she wanted addressed: If they could put air in her tires, and if they could see the squeak sound when she hit the brakes. I doubt they even took the vehicle into the shop. For the ignition recall, all was needed was a plastic piece in the key itself, nothing to do with the vehicle, but they told her that their washed her car, put air in the tires, and she needed new brakes immediately because they were grinding on the rotors, and it was going to cost $500 dollars. Thankfully my fiance didn't do that and said she would get it done somewhere cheaper. They charged her $100 for a diagnostics fee and parts for the cleaning. The car wasn't washed, and her tires still only have 25 PSI. My father later that day took the wheels off and looks at the brakes and rotors and said that they were practically brand new. They had very little wear on them and could last a long time. and I have photos to prove it. Now I'd like to say, that when Cargil took the tires off the change the brakes, they would see that they didn't need to be done and not charge her for it. But, I bet they would have left them on and charged her anyway. Will not be going to Cargil for any service or new vehicle purchases, do not recommend. read more

While it was going in she wanted them to check a squeal in the front right area. It had just started that morning. Well 4 hours later they called to say she needed new brake pads and rotors on both sides, to the tune of roughly 500.00. shocked we said put it back together and we will get a second opinion. Well low and behold, there was absolutely nothing wrong with her car. The squeal was some dirt. I got charged 101.00 for a diagnosis that did not even exist.
